Kagome poured her soul to the demoness, telling her of her horrible mother and how she had been abused by her. She told her what she had told none either… not even Sesshomaru.

Amaya listened carefully, only interrupting when she had a question, or to comfort the girl when she was on the verge of sobbing uncontrollably.

She had never known the touch of a mother, and so when Amaya put her hand on Kagome's back and patted, Kagome fell into her arms and cried. She released her pain, and, inadvertently, had helped the demoness to overcome hers, as well.
