Author's Note: So, this is the epilogue and the final chapter I will ever be posting for this story. It has been exactly a year since I started it, and I am glad that it didn't take me longer than that to finish it. Anyway, it's not especially long because I wrote it only to finish it off, so don't expect too much to read. I hope you like it, enjoy!

The Experiments of Tom Marvolo Riddle - Chapter 20

Written By YT12J

Harry, Tom and Voldemort landed in a heap on the hard ground, their wands all a few feet away from them. Harry rubbed his head and moaned, and then looked up to see Voldemort not moving on the floor and Tom waving his wand and muttering something while pointing at the Portkey which was now a useless tin can by the looks of it. After doing this for some time, he nodded to himself, put his wand away and looked up. Harry looked at him questioningly, and Tom answered his silent question.

"The Portkey somehow got activated by Voldemort's spell, and because we were all touching it indirectly or directly it took us exactly where it was made to. We are in the same location in space; the Forbidden Forest, however the date and year are August 10th 1943. The same day that I first left, which I did approximately two hours ago, relative time."

Harry got up off the floor and stared at Tom in shock. He had not expected to hear that, although it made sense. He had simply assumed that the Portkey had taken them somewhere else, in the same time, but now they were in Tom's time. Then he suddenly remembered something and decided to ask it.

"So, do you still want to carry out my idea for letting you live in the future?" Tom looked unsurprised, having already expected the question again, especially considering where they were. He thought about it for a couple of seconds, and then replied.

"It wouldn't hurt I guess, however I have an idea which would make it even better. Instead of doing the imprint of my mind and body onto my wand so that it can be restored in the future now, how about we do that after I do my sixth year at Hogwarts? And instead of you leaving now with Voldemort, how about you stay here and do your sixth year as well?"

Hardy frowned and stared at Tom for a few seconds, and then noticed a flaw in the plan. "But we can't just wipe your memory of the entire year, and we'll have to do that if you are to become Voldemort and not remember me. And what will we do about Voldemort then?"

Tom smiled. "Don't worry, these aren't a problem. We don't have to wipe my memories of the entire year, we can just wipe all of the memories I have about you, and to stop me from getting suspicious you can use the Confundus Charm after. And after the end of the year, instead of you travelling through time we can put you and Voldemort in a special magical stasis where you won't even age, and leave you on the Hogwarts grounds buried. We'll do that to you after the end of the year, and we can do it to Voldemort now."

He gestured to the ground where Voldemort was, but when they both looked they saw that he wasn't there. Before they even had time to think a curse hit Harry in the back and flung him forward into the ground face first, breaking his nose and leaving cuts from the rocks. He moaned for a moment and then stayed silent and still.

Tom stayed a safe distance from Voldemort, glaring at him and sustaining a Shield Charm that stopped most of the spells that Voldemort sent, the other ones he dived out of the way for. He did this for several minutes until he spotted Harry limping towards Voldemort. He would have used a spell to send Harry far away from the battle, but he knew that he couldn't win on his own, even if the only other person who could help was injured.

Luckily Voldemort didn't seem to notice Harry, mainly because he didn't turn around, and at the same time that Harry sent what looked like one of the curses he had taught in the WHM he sent a bone-breaker. Voldemort put up a shield that blocked Tom's curse, however he hadn't even noticed Harry so got hit in the back and fell to the floor, unconscious, dropping his wand.

Harry slowly limped over, and when he was close enough said "That was one of the curses you taught us. It knocks out the person and gives them endless nightmares until you wake them up."

Tom nodded and then spoke. "We would have never won if it weren't for the fact that we travelled in time. Voldemort's Horcruxes are all in the future considering that my diary does not count as his, and according to one of the theories I found in a time travel book here if you have Horcruxes and travel through time without them then you lose a great deal of power. That happened to me when I travelled, but then I absorbed the Horcrux from you which filled the gap."

"What will happen when in the future I restore you to how you will be at the end of this year? Do you absorb your Horcruxes?"

"Not exactly," Tom began. "They will be taken back into my body, except it won't be like the normal process of absorbing your Horcruxes through remorse. It will be like I never made them."

"What about the one I destroyed, the diary?" Harry asked.

"Like I said, it'll be like I never made them. I'm not sure exactly how it works but it doesn't matter if they have been destroyed. Anyway, what do you say to attending a year here and then joining Voldemort in a magical stasis?"

Harry thought about it for a moment and then replied "Yeah, ok then. I don't really see any problem in it, and it'll be fun to do the entire year and then repeat it knowing the whole curriculum in the future."

"Ok then, let's get started." he said, rubbing his hands together. "We'll have to come up with a convincing story for Dippet that'll allow you to be enrolled in school, which probably won't be hard considering how much he trusts and believes me."

Harry frowned. "I'll need a fake name as well, won't I?"

Tom shook his head at this. "No, it's find, I remember reading about a special charm that you cast, and then when you cast it again everyone who you met in between will forget about you completely. This charm is a variation of the Fidelius, except it works quite differently. Anyway, no one will be able to disable or even find it unless they know what they are looking for."

"Good, we should be fine then. Are we going to go into the castle or will we apparate somewhere?" Harry asked.

"I can't apparate here, the only reason I could in the future was because the trace doesn't work there for me, but here I can't use magic outside of Hogwarts. We'll have to get into the castle and Floo to Diagon Alley. Follow me." He then turned around and walked in the direction of the castle, Harry following from behind. As he walked he waved his wand and suddenly the motionless body of Voldemort was hovering In front of them. When they got within the wards he stopped, and turning around lowered his wand, leaving Voldemort to fall to the ground.

"Now that we're in the wards I need to make sure no one sees us." he said before waving his wand at Harry and then at himself. When he was finished they could still see each other but were invisible to everyone else, and when Tom nodded they continued walking to the castle, ready to start another adventure.
