Phil had been sitting in the living room on his laptop all day and was starting to grow bored of it. Dan hadn't left his room once but Phil wasn't worried. Dan did that from time to time when he was feeling antisocial. After refreshing Tumblr, Phil sighed, leaning his head against the back of the sofa. It wasn't until he heard Dan's door open then shut that he opened his eyes. Dan was standing in the doorway, fidgeting, refusing to look at Phil.

"Phil? Can I ask you something?" Dan asked. Phil shut his laptop and set it aside, giving Dan his full attention.

"Of course," Phil said, patting the spot beside him. Dan gingerly walked over and sat, still not looking at Phil.

"I-I don't-I don't know how," Dan mumbled. Phil bumped his shoulder against Dan's.

"You can ask me anything," Phil said. Dan sighed and nodded. They sat for a few minutes, not moving. Dan kept his eyes tightly shut, not wanting to see Phil's expression.

"I like someone," Dan said. Phil grinned and hugged him.

"That's brilliant Dan," he said. Dan looked at him cautiously.

"Yeah I suppose," he said.

"So what did you need to ask me?" Phil said.

"Well he's my friend and I don't know how to get farther than that," Dan said. Phil wasn't shocked to here that it was a guy that Dan liked. Dan had told him months ago that he was gay.

"Just kiss him," Phil said. Dan's eyes widened.

"What? Why?"

"It'll get the message across," Phil said grinning.
"You think I should just go up and kiss him?" Dan clarified.

"Yeah. Why not?"

"Because I don't know if he's gay or not," Dan said, starting to feel queasy at the thought.

"Well if you kiss him, you'll find out," Phil said, poking him in the side.

"Okay," Dan said, shakily. Dan pushed down his panic and glanced at Phil.

"It's simple Dan. Just do it.' Dan couldn't believe that Phil thought this was simple.

"Okay," Dan said giving in. He leaned forward and pressed his lips to Phil's.
