Sir Bedivere stood before his resting King. The Tree giving his Liege only the barest of Comfort. King Arthurs Hair, normally knit into a Braid around her Head, was now loose on her Shoulders. The blue Armor stained by the Blood flowing out of a rather deep Wound.

"Your Majesty!", Sir Bedivere began desperate. He could not bear to see his King in such a State. "Reinforcements are on their Way!"

The loyal Knight kneelt before his wounded Leader with an worried Look on his Face. His Kings Steed Llamrei, whish he had used to search for her trotted next to him.

"Don´t worry, Llamrei. The King will be well soon enough.", Sir Bedivere tried to reassure the Mare. She did not listen and lowered her Head to her Owners Face, as the Knight began to inspect the Wound.

As Sir Bedivere looked over the Wound, he realized three Things: One – the Wound was too deep. Two – his King could not be saved. And Third – the Cavalry would arrive too late.

"No!", the Knight was in Denial. "All of this! Those twenty Years spend by your Side! The Round Table! The Kingdom of Camelot." He looked at his King, who seemed to slowly open her eyes.

"Please, My Liege! Don´t let it end like this!"

Artoria Pendragon opened her Eyes. Her Vision was blurred from all the Blood she lost. The Kings Eyes could only vaguely perceive the Shape of a Man and a Horse. Both trying desperate.

"My King!", the Mans Voice was full of Relief. "You´re alive!"

"Sir Bedi... vere?" It seemed like his Voice. And the Figure that seemed like Horse.

"And who is..." The Figure put its Head next to hers. Artoria slowly held up her Hand untiö she managed to grab onto the Head. The smooth Fur and its Scent where familiar.

"Llamrei?" The Horse neighed in Response.

The Kings Voice wavered, just as Companions Hope had been renewed. With her Life leaving her more and more every Moment, it was certain that she would die here.

"Here... on this... Hill?", King Arthur whispered.

"My King! Worry not-" An exhausted Glance stopped Sir Bedivere from finishing his Words.

"Sir Bedivere. Excalibur... should be returned..."

And with those Words the King of Knights breathed her last.

Sir Bedivere and Llamrei stood before the Tree in Mourning. Only as it was clearly Night, did the Knight and Mare stopped looking at the Kings first and last peaceful Face in Years.

Sir Bedivere stood up and patted Llamrei on the back.

"My Friend.", he began, his Voice slowly recovering. "The only Consolation is, that our King finally knows Peace." He slowly lifted up his King and laid her onto Llamrei. Then he went and collected the Sword and the Spear. The Spear he and Llamrei would return to Nimue, the Lady of the Lake and the Spear, they would keep safely quarded, due to it´s Purpose.

Sir Bedivere paused for a Moment, as he climbed onto the Mare.

He could see, in the Distance, the Loyalists arrive. They had begun to collect the Bodies and clean up the Battlfield. Sir Bedivere would contact them later. Then they could decide who would lead them now.

For now he had to follow his Kings last Request.

It was the only Thing he could do, for he was the only Knight of the Round Table left.

FATE EXCALIBURN

Chapter 2 – Masters in Fuyuki City

Saber looked at the small white haired Child, that was wearing a downsized purple Version of her Mothers white Winter Clothes. The Girl had watched her Mothers new Companion ever since they had left the Library.

Her Master, Irisviel had insisted that they eat and look for suitable Clothes for the Servant to wear.

Allthough, Saber suspected, that it was only an Excuse for Mother and Child to play Dress Up. The medieval King outright refused to wear a set of Irisviels Clothes – purple Blouse and a long white Skirt – and was currently trying to loose the Tie of her new Suit.

At least the black Gloves where comfortable.

"So.", the small Girl looked up at Saber. "Are you like Father and Aunt Maiya?" Innocent red eyes meet expressionsless Green, as Irisviel choked on Air.

"Illyasviel!", her Master stuttered. "No!"

Saber decided not to pry into the Matter, as Mother and Daughter just glanced at each other and Irisviel desperately tried to come up with some Sort of Excuse for something that should not interest her Servant.

Illyasviel grinned, as her Mother embraced her. "I will be back soon. I am even going to drag your father back Home." Irisviel let go and walked to the Limousine outside of the Einzberns Residence.

Her Daughter turned her Attention back to Saber..

"You´ll bring her back right? Please?"

Saber looked at the young Girl and bowed.

"Yes, I will."

Then Saber told her Masters Daughter Good Bye and followed Irisviel to the Limousine.

Her Master, it seemed, had wrestled the Homunculi Driver for the Driver´s Seat and won.

Saber sat down on the Seat next to Irisviel and closed the Door. Then she turned to her Master, in Order to discuss how to arrive at her Destination. After all, one could not be able to travell from one Continent to a Island Nation, in the better Part of two days, the medieval king told herself out of Experience.

"Don´t worry.", Irisviel grinned. "I know what I am doing."

After saying those Words, Irisviel von Einzbern stepped onto the Gaspedal and the Nightmare began.

Saber had never screamed that much in her Life.

Tokiomi Residence, Japan – Year 1994, Evening of Sabers Summoning

The Tohsaka Residence was a old Mansion in Fuyuki City. Two if its currently two Inhabitants preparing themselves to move to a safer Location, while Master and Servant would fight the Grail War there.

Tokiomi Tohsaka was sitting at the Desk of his Workroom, while studying Papers on Past Holy Grail Wars. He had already rigged most of the Grail War in his Favor, but it never hurt to gain another Advantage. The other two Familys, who helped in the Creation of the Holy Grail War, where probably already planning something too.

"What am I saying?", the Tohsaka Patriarch muttered to himself. "Kariya has no Pride as a Magus... He probably would not do even that..."

Tokiomi poured himself a Glas of Wine and walked to his Window. After taking one Sip of his Drink, he grabbed a Staff, with Jewelry crafted onto it, that leaned against the Wall next to the Window.

The Magus studied the Parts of his property, he could see from his Windows, before finding the person he had been looking for. His Eyes fixated on the Man, that had hid himself for the better part of an Hour, inside the Bushes that marked the border of his House.

Kiritsugu Emiya, a Man known as a Magus Killer, that had been hired by the Einzbern Family help them fight in the war, since the Einzbern Specialty did not lie in Fighting.

"A smart but insulting Choice.", Tokiomi raised his Staff and pointed at the Window. He did not bat an Eye, as the Staff began to burn.

The Mercenary had probably noticed him now standing in plain Sight, as he now readied his Pistol in order to fire, having finally reached the Point he had been waiting for, for over an Hour.

But Kiritsugu never fired a Shot. Tokiomi watched with Curiosity, as he watched the Magus Killer turn around and point his Pistol towards the Entrace of the Manor, before dodging, if barely a thrown Knife. It had seemed, as if Time itself had slowed down, next to the Mercenary.

Kiritsugu Emiya retreated from the Mansion, leaving Tokiomi Tohsaka to ponder the Situation.

"It seems our promised Quest has arrived." Tokiomi reminded himself, to thank his Apprentrice Kirei later. Now, he just had to test how uncontrollable Servant would react.

Archer walked the Mansion, he had been summoned into. His Master was a complete Bore. The Daughter and her Mother where not good Entertainment and the Appretrice, the only fascinating one of the Bunch, was currently doing Errands for his Master or so it seemed.

The blonde Man, clad in ancient golden Armor, walked towards his Masters Workroom, hoping to get at least a little Entertainment out of the borish Magus. He turned around however, as he noticed a gush of wind pass him. Archer stopped in his Tracks.

"A closed Building, has no Wind inside...", the Servant checked his Surrounding, a Being as supreme as himself, surely would have noticed something odd.

The Realisation hit, just as his Masters Voice hollered through the Building.

"ARCHER!" The Servant disappeared into thin Air, leaving vanishing golden Sparks behind.

He reappered direclty in Front of his Master, who had rather unseccessfully managed to defend himself.

Archer scoffed. His Master was lying on the Floor, his burning Staff still raised towards the Door of his Workroom. He made several golden gates, in the Form of Circles appear in the Air. The Enemy was another Servant.

"No.", the Servant snarled. "You cannot even be called Enemy. You Mongrel."

Several Weapons slip through his Gates, waiting to be fired. The Mongrel seemed to count that Move, as Provocation. As a Knife was thrown towards Tokiomi.

Archer merely let one of his Weapons soar towards the Knife. Both connected in Mid Air and exploded.

The golden armored Servant noticed the Window in the Workroom shatter and send another of his prized Possesions in that Direction. The Javelin too, exploded on Impact with another Knife.

Tokiomi Tohsaka stood up and stopped the Fire on his Staff. He dusted himslef of and turned to his Servant.

"Go after him, please.", The Master nodded towards the destroyed Window.

"I can decide myself, what to do.", growled Archer and vanished. He reappeared, standing on top of the Manor, overlooking the Property.

"This Manor, in whish I, the King of Heroes have been summoned, is my very own Palace. You will pay for defiling it, Mongrel!"

Archer made multiple Gates appear above him and let his prized Weapons rain onto the black Figure, with the white Mask.

After five Minutes of dodging, the mightiest Kings Noble Phantasm, the Servant Assasin had been eliminated from the War.

Tokiomi smiled as he poured two Glasses of Wine. "Archer, it is Time I fill you in.", his Master began. "We have much to talk about."

Matou Household, Japan – Year 1994, the same Evening

Byakuya Matou threw another Beer Bottle at the Basements Door. No matter what he did, the screaming Annoyance of a Girl down there just would not stop screaming. The Girl had been there barely a Year had still not gotten used at it.

"It´s about Time the Brat learned to keep quiet.", the Man slurred, fishing another Bottle out of the Pile at his Feet. Life in the Matou Family was not all that pleasant and the newest Arrival had yet to learn that simple Fact.

"Father?", a Voice asked behind him. "Where´s Sakura?" Byakuya turned around to see a Minature Version of himself walk down the Staircase towards the Living Room.

"She is training now.", the Drunkard spat. At that his Sons eyes perked up towards him.

"Really?", Shinji Matous Eyes where filled with Jealously. "Why and not me? Since she arrived here, it has always been her!"

"Because I don´t want you too.", snarled Byakuya. Upon seeing his Sons shocked Voice smashed the Bottle in his Hand against the Wall. The spilled Beer staining the Wall and Floor. Shinji stared at his Father, giving his Son the usual Response to the Topic. "Go back to your Room!", bellowed the drunken Man, before groaning, as the Sakura Matou screamed really loudly.

"Stupid Worms...", Byakuya walked towards the Kitchen. "Well, at least my Son does what he is told."

Byakuya Matou never managed to get his Beer from the Kitchen, as he saw his Brother Kariya have an Argument with the Family patriarch Zouken. The drunken Man stormed off in the other Direction. He avoided that Can of Worms whenever possible.

The old bald Man, supporting himself, with a Cane looked smugly at the white haired Man, currently writhing in Pain, while the armored Man, enveloped in black Mist next to him just shouted incomrehensible Words.

"You want something, Kariya?", the old Man raised his Cane and smashed it into his "Sons" Stomatch. "Ask nicely."

"Berserker.", Kariya coughed, holding his Stomach, as several Crest Worms underneath his Skin started to crawl around, even more agitated. "Beat the Information out of him."

Zouken growled. Kariya was truly pushing it now, with his Insolence. First he left, leaving the Magus Lifestyle behind. And then, he returned years later, in order to safe his new Grail Vessel.

Zouken opened his Mouth cackling, and let several flying Insect crawl out of it. As all five of them had left his Mouth and settled on his Head, Kariya watched in Disgust as they grew larger.

And then the Insects started to fly towards him. The Failure of a Matou, as Zouken liked to call him, was unable to follow the Insect with his eyes and a split second later, they had settled on his Arms.

Kariya managed to barely rip them of his Body, before they started trying to eat him.

His Servant, seeing his Master shaking the Insects off, lost control of himself once again, finally responding to his Masters Words. The Berserker started to squash each Insect with his Feet. His armored Soles leaving smalll Craters on the Floor, before turning his Attention to Zouken, as he began to speak.

Zouken laughed, as the Berserker grabbed the Kitchen Table and began beating him with hit. The old Man was slammed onto the Ground hard enaough, that his Body was separated into several Worms, who Berserker continued to beat, having switched thealready smashed Table with two Chairs.

Kariya screamed in Pain with every Movement his Servant made, until Zoukens Voice was heard from outside the Kitchen.

"Well, If you really want to know.", Zoukens Body reforming itself, as he was speaking. "Tokiomis Servant is named Archer."

Berserker was strangely calm, as Kariya was lying on the Ground, looking utterly defeated.

"Oh. And just for that Action, I am going to let the Worms train Sakura extra hard today."

Fuyuki City Airport, Japan – Year 1994, the next Morning

Maiya Hisau looked at the Plane, that had landed in the Airport less than 10 Minutes ago. It´s Passengers had already begun to leave and yet she still couldn´t see her Employers Wife anywhere.

Irisviel von Einzbern definitely did not take the wrong Plane. The hired Mercenary had gotten a Call from Jubstacheit von Einzbern as soon as Irisviels Plane had started its Journey.

Even though, the Einzbern where famous for kind screwing up in Holy Grail Wars in the Past, even they normally did not screw up that.

Maiya ignored the Evidence, the Beginning of the Third Holy Grail War had provided.

She instead let her Eyes sweep of the leaving Passengers, searching for the Lady and her Companion. Who she was told, was the legendary King Arthur.

She shock her Head. Such Information should stay hidden, and not carelessly revealed, even to People that were hired to assist you.

"Well, it was the Head of the Einzbern Family... Mhm?", Maiya Hisaus Eyes perked up, as she spotted a familiar Set of Winter Clothes, accompanied by a black Suit. The Mercenary walked through the Mass of People trying to get towards the Exit, only coming to a halt a few Meters in Front of Irisviel von Einzbern and her Companion.

Irisviel von Einzbern was currently laughing at her Companion, who had a rather perplexed Look on her Face.

Wait her?

"Lady Irisviel?", Maiya got the Attention of the new Arrivals. "Why is King Arthur a Woman?"

The resulting Conversation in the Car, as they where driving to their new Base of Operations, was short but informative.

Maiya took a sharp Turn, as the Lady Irisviel tried to climb on the Drivers Seat again.

"Lady Irisviel, I would like to arrive at the Manor safely.", groaned Maiya as she drove towards the Forest near Fuyuki City. The Homunculus backed down and looked pouting out of the Window.

"As long as the Grail War is here in the City, none of us are going to be safe.", muttered the female Master. Maiya nodded, knowing the Truth of the Statement.

"Then we ju-"

"Stop!", Saber interrupted the Conversation. Both Driver and Master turned to the Servant on the back Seat. "We got an Invitation. The Servants Face brimming with Determination.

Maiya turned to look at Irisviel, who seemed to ponder the Situation.

"Maiya.", the Master made her Decision. "You make sure the Manors safe. Try to inform the Maids and Kiritsugu." Saber and Irisviel left the Car, as Saber tried to pinpoint, where their Invitation came from.

"It was over there.", Saber pointed towards a Area near the Sea.

"The Enemy is located in the Area near the Docks. Please be safe." Maiya handed Irisviel a Map of Fuyuki City and drove off.

Both Master and Servant nodded and walked towards their first Challenge of the War.
