Chapter Seven: Splash Fight!

Mizuchi void Ice and absorb electricity, and, depending on their level, they could use Makarakarn, a skill that would block any type of magic attack-but only once, along with Fog Breath, which would make this already troublesome battle all the more annoying as it would slow them down.

It also goes without saying that they also use ice to attack, but that shouldn't be a problem, that is, if Jack had as much control over the element of Naoki believed.

"Um," Jamie's shaky voice called, almost unheard amongst the sound of slithering water, "what the hell are they?"

"They're cute!" the frost spirit laughed, twirling his staff once more, "it's too bad they're our enemies!"

"Would you try to befriend them otherwise?" the Demi-fiend asked, slightly intrigued, but allowed the answer to slide as ten shards of ice shattered across the wall next to where he stood.

"Agi!" Naoki cried, snapping his hand forward and flicking his wrist, skillfully summoning up ten fireballs in succession and sending them flying into the gathered snakes, but not before one of them let out a bout of Fog Breath.

"Awesome!" Jack cried through the fog while Jamie coughed and took a few steps away from the fight, "and now it's my turn!"

"Oh?" the Demi-fiend allowed an intrigued smile to cross his face, now the real fun would begin, and, for the first time since he lost his humanity, Naoki took a step back from the battle before him and allowed another to take his place on the battle field.

With a joyous laugh Jack floated towards the withering snakes, staff twirling in his hand and freezing everything it touched without care, he'd leave melting it to the Demi-fiend, the annoyed expression would be priceless!

Alas, the snakes soon recovered from the bombardment, with seething hisses they once again called up a ridiculous number of ice shards and sent them flying.

The devious grin almost made Naoki laugh, almost.

With a swing of his staff Jack reversed the attack, and was only mildly surprised when it did no damage. "Huh, guess I'm going to have to do this the old fashioned way!"

What came next was the most ridiculous thing Naoki had seen in his entire life, and if Jamie wasn't still struggling to see through the fog he'd be laughing himself silly.

For there was Jack, hitting ten demons on the head with his staff.

So much for the epic battle.
