A/N: I should have clarified before but it slipped my mind. Some time passed between chapter 19 and chapter 20 (before Loki bed Thor's friends) and Loki's arm is no longer broken. Sorry for the confusion.

Thor woke up to two little bodies jumping onto the bed and shaking them. He groaned in confusion and looked up at Ryker and Adelaide jumping on him.

"WAKE UP!" They both yelled at the same time and Thor groaned again and dropped his arm over where he thought Loki was but just hit the mattress. He sat up quickly and the children almost toppled off the bed but laughed as they did.

"Where's Loki?" Thor asked the kids, feeling slightly panicked for reasons he wasn't quite sure of.

They both laughed again, probably because Thor's long hair was sticking up in all different directions, and Ryker pointed at the door.

"He's in the kitchen."

Thor got out of bed quickly and went downstairs with the twins following him and went into the kitchen where Loki was already dressed in jeans and a long sleeved shirt, with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows while he washed the dishes from last night.

The blond would safely say he'd never seen a scene quite so confusing this soon after waking up in his entire life.

Loki looked up when he heard the children run in past Thor and sit at the table and smiled at his boyfriend. "Morning."

He turned back to the pot he had in his hand and continued washing the sauce off the handle. Thor just stared at him blankly.

"What…?"

Loki just laughed and held the suds-covered pan up. "Come dry up for me?"

Thor nodded and walked over, still dazed, and took the pan from him as Loki gestured to the dry cloth on the counter for him to use. He stared at Loki as he dried the pot and Loki rolled his eyes.

"You look like I just sacrificed a virgin."

Thor blinked and snapped himself out of it. "Sorry… It was just a shock…"

Loki smirked a little and handed him some cutlery to dry. They carried on like this in silence while the kids concentrated on an intense game of Jenga at the table. The only noise was the loud bang of wood on wood accompanied by Adelaide shouting in victory while Ryker groaned when the Jenga tower fell.

They finished washing all the pots and Loki pulled the plug out of the sink then took the cloth off Thor to dry his hands and arms. Once he was done, he did something even more surprising. Loki went through the cupboards until he found the cereal and asked the kids what they wanted. Adelaide asked for Cocoa Pops and Ryker asked for Chocolate hoops.

Loki got some bowls out and made their cereal for them and put it in front of them both with spoons. The twins thanked him and started eating while Thor continued to stare at the scene in shock. He heard footsteps coming down the stairs but Loki and the kids didn't seem to notice, Loki was too busy putting the dried dishes away.

Thor saw Alice and James stare at the scene with the same shocked expression he must have been wearing not long ago and Alice whispered to Thor. "What's happening?"

"Loki washed the dishes and made the kids' breakfast…" He whispered back, the sentence didn't quite sound right, it sounded like a lie, even though he'd witnessed it himself.

All three of them continued to stare until Loki noticed them and looked uncomfortable. "What?"

All three shook their heads and muttered, "Nothing," then Thor sat at the table with the kids.

Alice asked Loki and Thor if they wanted any breakfast and Loki said he'd fine whilst Thor nodded eagerly.

Alice made bacon sandwiches for them, James and herself, despite Loki's protests, and they all ate in silence.

"So, I was thinking today we could take the twins to Monkey Joe's today." James said once Ryker and Adelaide had gone into the living room out of hearing range.

Alice nodded and smiled. "Good idea, they'll love it."

"What's Monkey Joe's?" Loki asked in confusion and Thor looked at him in shock for the one hundredth time this morning, thinking Loki had never been as a kid, but James spoke first.

"Remember your sixth birthday, I took you to that really colourful place with all the slides and ball pits, I lost you for about an hour and I was having panic attacks so the manager cleared the whole place? We found you were napping under the balls in one of the ball pits?"

Loki thought for a second and laughed. "Oh, yeah."

Thor smiled at that and finished his food.

Thor, Alice and James went to get dressed, which left Loki in charge of the twins. Alice and James were a little nervous but determined to give Loki the chance.

When they all came back downstairs Loki was laying on the floor in the living room with Adelaide sat near his head and Ryker sat on his chest, they both had felt tip pens in their hands and were drawing on Loki's face.

"Kids?" James spoke up, confused.

"Loki is too pale, we're giving him a tan." Adelaide said, not looking up from where she was colouring Loki's forehead orange.

Alice giggled and picked them both up. "Go get dressed. Loki, go wash your face."

She put the kids down and they both grabbed one of Loki's hands each and dragged him to his feet and out of the room to show him their clothes. Shockingly, Loki went willingly.

Thor sat with James and Alice on the couch and they both turned to him.

"So," Alice started. "How are you and Loki doing? You met him in the institute, right?"

Thor nodded. "We're doing great, I have to say Loki is doing better than I expected here…"

They both nodded in agreement and James spoke. "Do you know where he's going to decide to stay?"

Thor shook his head. "I don't think he's decided yet…"

"If he decides to stay with you… No hard feelings, okay? It's his choice, whatever he picks is okay with us…"

Thor nodded. "Ditto."

They sat in awkward silence for a few more minutes until Loki, Ryker and Adelaide came downstairs. Ryker was wearing a blue t-shirt and black shorts, Adelaide was wearing a pretty, pink dress and Loki's face was clean.

"Everyone ready to go?" James asked standing up.

The kids all cheered in excitement and Loki nodded, taking Thor's hand.

They all got into James' minivan, him and Alice at the front, Ryker and Adelaide in their booster seats in the row behind them and Thor and Loki in the back still holding hands. Loki spent the whole ride staring out of the window and James kept glancing into the back at them catching Thor's eye occasionally and smiling. Thor smiled back, although he wasn't sure what James was smiling at.

When they got to Monkey Joe's, Alice took Ryker and Adelaide's seatbelts off and they immediately jumped out and ran into the building with Alice running close behind them to keep track of them. James stopped Loki and Thor before they could follow.

"I know this place is kind of… kiddy so if you guys want to go for a walk or something then just let us know and give us your number and you can go, we'll call you when we're going to go…"

They both nodded and Thor gave James his and Loki's number before they went in.

The inside of the building was open-plan and brightly coloured in a jungle style with climbing frames, ball pits and tables everywhere, the tables were most likely for the adults to chat while the children played. On the other side of the ball pits were the toilets and a bar to buy food and drinks from, right near the entrance/exit was a small gift shop type of area with overpriced stuffed monkeys with the same t-shirts on as the staff wore.

By the time Thor, Loki and James got inside Alice had already paid for her and the twins and had gotten a table with four chairs. She waved them over once James had paid for himself and the young couple while he profusely explained the kids they were with were already inside and they weren't creeps, to which the cashier laughed uncomfortably, Thor looked away from second hand embarrassment and Loki just hid his face in his hands to stifle his laughter.

They went over and joined Alice, before they could sit down Loki had already started telling her what James had said to the cashier in order for Loki to embarrass his father further and Alice then spent the next five minutes clutching her sides with laughter, effectively ruining her mascara. As she left to go to the bathroom and tidy up her face, James went to go get everyone drinks, leaving Thor and Loki alone together.

Thor scooted his chair closer to Loki's. "Hey, how are you doing?" He asked cautiously.

Loki shrugged, looking relaxed. "I'm fine, stop worrying."

Thor watched him for a few more seconds before nodding and smiling at him. They heard Ryker and Adelaide screaming their names and turned to watch them go down one of the slides together as they instructed. They both smiled and Thor called out congratulations to them.

James came back carrying four glasses of Cola and two Fruit Shoots on a tray and put it down in front of them for Thor and Loki to take two of the glasses. Around the same time, Alice came back with her make up improved.

"Did I miss anymore James-Is-An-Idiot stories?" She asked straight away and James rolled his eyes.

They stayed for about an hour before Loki started to get a little too overwhelmed by all the sensory stimulation and asked Thor if they could go for a walk. After telling James and Alice where they were going, they left and walked around to a quiet street. Loki stayed close to Thor's side so Thor wrapped his arm around Loki's shoulder, making the smaller boy smile.

"Sorry I had to leave…" Loki mumbled quietly, watching his shoes hit the pavement under them.

"I'm proud of you for being able to stay as long as you did." Thor smiled and kisses the side of Loki's head. Loki just smiled and tugged Thor over to a deserted field to sit down for a while.

"I'm serious, Loki. You did so well." Thor smiled at the sat down and Loki smiled back, blushing slightly at the praise.

"Thanks…"

The couple sat in silence together for a while before Loki nudged Thor to lie on the grass so he could crawl on top of him to kiss him. Thor smiled into this kiss and wrapped his arms around Loki's waist and the small of his back to keep his body close to him. Loki was slightly worried at first that he'd be too heavy so he supported himself with his hands planted on the grass either side of Thor's head but when the blonde pulled him flush against him Loki gave up and placed his hands on Thor's chest instead.

As Thor licked at Loki's lips for entry, Loki opened his mouth willingly and ran his hand down Thor's chest to his abdomen. Just as Thor was thinking about stopping the kiss to tell Loki they couldn't go any further there on the field, Loki's phone vibrated in his pocket and shocked him enough to break the kiss so he could pull back and answer it.

Thor could vaguely hear James' voice on the other end since Loki was still laid on top of him and didn't bother trying to hear what he was saying, instead he started playing with Loki's hair, tugging it behind the ear he didn't have the phone pressed again. After a few yesses from Loki, he hung up and smiled down at Thor, momentarily distracted by his boyfriend's beautiful blue eyes.

"James said everyone is ready to go…" He eventually said.

Thor nodded and tossed Loki off him gentle enough so he didn't hurt him but hard enough to make him squeak in surprise and laugh. When Thor stood up, he reached down to pull Loki up and keeps hold of his hand as he walks back to Monkey Joe's with him.

They piled into the back of the car and listened to Ryker and Adelaide tell them story after story of what little things had happened when they left, and Thor and Loki listened patiently, laughing when they felt it was appropriate and Loki even gasped in awe at certain parts the children were particularly proud of.

James pulled up to a fast food place and got them take out before they headed home and they all watched a Barbie movie before the kids were sent to bed and everyone else retired shortly after.

Thor laid in bed and immediately opened his arms for Loki to fall into them.

"I heard what you said last night…" He muttered into Thor's chest and Thor stiffened slightly.

"Oh… Have you decided yet?" Thor asked, although he wasn't sure he wanted to know the answer.

"Yes…" Loki looked up at him and smiled nervously. "I'd like to stay with you if that's still okay? Staying here is good but it's a little too much, thinking of staying here on a permanent basis…"

Thor smiled widely and answered by kissing him.
