Helga glared at the scenery as it flew past them. Granted, it was astounding to her that Appa could fly, but she was still cross about the events that had transpired earlier that morning. Audree had gotten her calmed down enough that she wasn't thinking about killing Gerald and Arnold every five minutes, but there was really nothing else that her friend could do. Helga just needed to brood for a little while.
She glanced to the head of their ride and couldn't help but smile when she watched Audree try to teach Aang how to play the guitar. He was doing a good job of mucking it up, but luckily for him Audree was a good teacher and had enough patience to move mountains.
Her gaze shifted when she felt someone sit next to her, but the scowl was right back on her face. "What do you want?" she barked.
Arnold swallowed a lump in his throat and rubbed the back of his neck. "I just…wanted to apologize for Gerald."
"Why can't he do it for himself?" She snapped, not meaning to be so short, but not really minding at the same time.
"He….he still thinks he didn't do anything wrong." Arnold admitted reluctantly.
She scoffed and shook her head. "Typical."
Arnold blinked and gave her a questioning look, but said nothing else.
She glanced back at him and her brow scaled her forehead. "Was there something else?"
"I just…wanted to make sure you were ok." He admitted slowly.
"Arnold, I'm fine. I've been dealing with assholes in my life since I was three." she answered shortly.
Arnold frowned and nodded, moving to sit back with Gerald.
All eyes fell upon Sokka as he groaned dramatically. "We don't have any money, and we're running out of food."
"I have some kale chips." Audree offered.
Sokka zealously jumped for them, devouring one before grimacing and spitting it out. "That's disgusting!" He exclaimed, outraged.
Aang took a chip of his own and had a different opinion on the food. "That's delicious Audree. What is it?"
Audree shrugged and passed a handful to Helga, who began nibbling on the corner of one of them. "They're kale chips. Just…dehydrated kale."
Katara raised an eyebrow, glancing at her brother, who was still writhing in disgust. "What exactly is kale?"
"Hippie food." Helga answered shortly.
Audree shrugged, "It's true. I only eat one-hundred percent vegetarian, which isn't always easy since I tend to be surrounded by carnivores."
"Me too!" Aang exclaimed.
The two began rambling more and more about what they had in common. Glancing across the sky bison's saddle, Helga couldn't help but notice the jealousy burning holes in her pupils. She smirked and shook her head, having given that look enough times to know. She chanced a glance at Arnold to find him staring at her. He smiled. She rolled her eyes and looked away.

"Nope. We aren't performing for money." Sokka declared boldly.
"Yeah, the last time we did anything on the streets for cash it ended up bad." Toph admitted, knowing full well that it had been her own fault. She had no desire to talk about it.
"Relax. It'll be just like that time we got stuck downtown after I lost my purse." Audree seemed rather relaxed. It only made Arnold and Gerald more nervous.
"Yeah, right, well I think we'd be a bit more comfortable if you all clear out." Helga stated, doing her best to not be short with them.
Toph was the only one that took a hint and started herding the others away. Once they'd gone, Helga and Audree sat in an unoccupied and quiet, yet busy space. Helga supllied a beat with a cup and her hands while Audree strummed her guitar and they both sang along.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
"They've been gone a long time." Gerald observed, leaning casually against a rock.
"They probably still hate you and have decided to ditch us." Toph suggested dryly.
Aang looked put down. "You don't really think they would do that, do you?"
Toph shrugged, already fully aware that Audree and Helga were heading up the hill, and their pockets were considerably heavier.
A laugh could be heard and suddenly everyone's full attenion was on the girls climbing the hill.
Sokka rushed down to meet them and hollered happily when Audree handed him a sack with much more coins than he'd expected.
"Told ya we could pull it off." Audree teased, sticking out her tongue.
Helga chuckled and shook her head, but before she could answer she was distracted by a pair of arms hugging her tightly. "I'm so glad you guys came back." Arnold said, refusing to let her go.
Helga stared at Audree, who hid a laugh behind her hand. "Um….yeah, we came back."
"Let's eat!" Sokka screamed, attracting everyone elses' attention.
"Don't say a word." Helga growled to Audree.
Audree merely looked up at her friend and stifled a giggle.
Sorry this took so long and is kind of short. Hope it's okay. Don't forget to review.
