A/N: Sup all my faithful readers! If you are reading this, I commend you for your patience! I would say it will never happen again but...well, I'm a bit flighty, so I'm not gonna lie to you. But I will never abandon! Here's the chappie!

Krillin

Something was poking him.

Krillin rolled away from the touch, swiping at the offending feeling. But it was persistent, moving to the back of his head as he turned away from it.

The monk groaned, swiping at the feeling again, reached by for his blankets to hide in-

Wait. He wasn't sleeping.

Krillin popped up with a shout, looking around wildly for Chun. He just knew the guy was gonna knock him out of the ring, he had to get up and be ready for him he-

"-illin! Yooohoo! Krillllliiin!"

A hand was waving in his face. The bald monk rubbed at his eyes, took a step—it was more of a scoot—back, and followed the hand back to the person it was attached to.

Goku leaned over him, patent dopey grin full blast.

Krillin furrowed his eyebrows "Goku...What happened?" He looked around, noticing for the first time that he was not on stage anymore. He was back in the waiting area.

His eyebrows furrowed, he looked around again, trying to understand, when a throb from the back of his head got his attention. He groaned, touching the bump gingerly, and deflated as he caught on to what had happened.

Krillian looked into his lap, staring at his hands. He remembered now. Chun had won. He'd knocked him out with one blow.

Krillian had failed.

You knew this would happen, he told himself. There was no point in being upset. The chance of winning the entire tournament was slim, and he had tried.

And failed a slimy voice inside him pointed out nastily. Krillin clenched his fist, blocking out Goku's word, a nauseas feeling rising in his stomach at the thought.

You knew.

You always knew you would lose

all you do is lose-

"-ood fight Krillin."

Krillin froze. Slowly, he turned to stare at the familiar voice. Sheila, framed by the sun, had her hand out. The permanently pinched look on her face and her narrowed eyes were gone. She had a tiny smile on her face, and she was looking at him with a look in her eyes he didn't understand.

I think that's the first time she's smiled at me. She looks really pretty when she smiles he thought dazedly. Oh he had noticed that Sheila wasn't hard to look at-even with her young face Krillin saw enough—erm...special—magazines to recognize beauty. Shiela was nothing like the girls in pornos though. She was a sharp beauty, with intense eyes and a smile that's she wielded like a blade. Sheila was like a wolf or ravine. Beautiful, but deadly when provoked.

Krillin reaches out his hand and shakes hers, more on autopilot than from any actual coherent thought. Somehow, the tiny smile grew to become a real one, with a little more teeth than necessary, more a grin than a smile.

"The match was pretty close. Wish I could have fought you, not get stuck with this lug" She jerked her thumb over her shoulder rudely to gesture toward her brother, who laughed at her rudeness. The annoyed look was back, but that feeling in her eyes was still there, puzzling Krillin.

"Goku's really strong." Krillin watched as the look in her eyes swelled with her statement, and saw as she stood taller to bear her teeth at her brother

"So am I" Sheila turned with a flourish, turning to yell at Goku about something but Krillin didn't see.

All he saw was the look in her eyes that he suddenly knew-without a doubt-was—

Respect.

Shiela

"ARE.

YOU.

READY?!

The crowd screamed, the volume over coming the announcer, who jumped with a fist pump in the air as he turned to the stage.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, IT IS TIME FOR THE SECOND MATCH OF THE SEMI-FINALS! WHO WILL WIN!?"

Blondie threw out his hands to point at Goku.

"WILL IT BE GOKU?! OUR YOUNG BUT OBVIOUSLY INNOCENT AS HE IS STRONG FIGHTER! OR

He threw out his hand to gesture towards me, who gave him a smirk

"WILL IT BE THE LOVELY YET FIRERY SHEILA?! WHOEVER WINS THIS, LADIES AND GENTS, ARE THE SEMIFINALS!

I laughed and got into my ready stance "Ready to lose, bro?!" I grinned with a little too much teeth at Goku, who returned the look happily, pumping his fists and actually vibrating in excitement

"Sure I am sis! Everybody here is pretty strong, but I know you're the strongest! That's why I'm ready to win!"

I laughed again, getting ready for the gong. This was gonna be great! This is what I have been waiting for!

BANG

I wasted no time in attacking, rushing at Goku with a viscous punch for the head. Goku grinned and dodged easily leaning to the left and grabbing my arm to throw me, but I was ready.

My other hand came out of nowhere to aim a punch right into his chest. It hit true, and with a gasp Goku bounced back into a handspring to get some distance.

Rubbing his chest, Goku laughed brightly "That sure was a hit, sis! I knew you were strong!"

I returned his grin, shaking out my hand as it throbbed duly from making contact with his sternum.

"AH, HOW COULD WE FORGET?! THIS FATED MATCH IS BETWEEN SIBLINGS! LOOK AT THE SPORTSMANSHIP FOLKS! ITS OBVIOUS THAT THESE SIBLING RESPECT EACH OTHER GREATLY! SHEILA DELIVERS THE FIRST BLOW , BUT GOKU IS UNFAZED!"

I blocked out most of Blondies spiel , focused completely on Goku. He charged this time to return to the fight. As we traded blows I analyzed his moves critically.

If I was going to win I needed a good plan. Strength wise, my brother and I were about evenly matched. He was slightly stronger than I was, but I was a little faster because of my slimmer build. I was also a lot craftier than him, mostly because I wasn't afraid to fight dirty. But considering this wasn't life or death, I wasn't planning I doing anything of that nature, so the little dingus didn't have to worry about that, fortunate for him. 'But don't forget that even though he's a knuckle head, he's not idiot when it comes to fighting' I reminded myself. Yes, Goku was definitely silly , but he was by no means an idiot . Uniformed about many things, innocent in some ways, but he was not stupid. 'This match is going to come down to two things; endurance and careful planning, and lucky for me I have plenty of both' I grinned viciously at the thought, ducking under a kick to the head, but missed the tail aimed at my feet. Before I could roll smoothly to my feet, Goku grabbed me by the arm and hurled me toward the nearest wall.

Gasping, I immediately flipped in mid air, and kicked off from the wall to launch my self even faster right back at Goku, who got a surprised look on his face and barely managed to dodge my head butt. He grabbed onto my foot and attempted another throw, this time out of the ring, but I turned before he could and kicked at his ribs. He blocked the foot and got a clear shot at my collarbone.

Hissing in pain, I flipped into back handspring, putting some distance and massaging the area, panting slightly. Already there was sweat dripping off my brow into my face, and I wiped it away impatiently as I regarded my brother.

Goku was also panting, but unlike me he had a crazy grin on his face as he beamed back at me, obviously happy with the adrenaline pumping through his body.

Sighing, I smiled back "Nice hit. But it really stings" I rubbed it again"

Laughing he put a hand behind his head and did the Son Smile™️ "Haha thanks! That flip you did was really great! I didn't expect you to bounce off the wall like that! You're like a ninja!"

I grinned, dropping my fighting stance slightly "Why thank you, my dear brother." I bowed extravagantly, keeping a superior look on my face.

I fell back in my fighting stance when he laughed "Come on bro" I smirked,

"Let's get serious"

"Ah but I was having fun!" He whined, pouting at me.

"OH WHATS THIS MY DEAR CROWD?! SHEILA SAYS ITS TIME TO GET SERIOUS?! IF THAT WAS JUST THE WARMUP, I CANT WAIT FOR THE ACTUAL FIGHT! LET THEM HEAR YOU!

The crown behind us roared, and I grinned, buoyed by their excitement. Crouching, I charged at Goku again, putting a lot more effort into my movements this time. He matched me with a grin of his, own, charging to meet me. We traded blows, our blocked hits causing loud slapping sound to emit throughout the area.

I blocked a punch for my ribs by dropping onto all four and spinning to sweep my feet out from under him. He rolled forward with momentum of his fall to spring back toward me with his feet. Jumping over the hit, I tried to stomp down on his back only for him to dodge again. He landed on his feet and wasted no time in drawing back his fist. I did the same, and our fists met with a crack.

I whipped my tail and slapped him in the face, but missed the hit headed for my temple. I rolled backwards, skating my head to clear the sudden bout of dizziness that came with it and came back at him.

I swiped at his legs again with my tail but he just jumped over it. I dodged an elbow aimed for the ribs and grabbed his arm and flipped over my shoulder, jumping on his midsection to pin him and breathing heavily. He struggled underneath me until he somehow got the strength to hook his hands under my thighs and throw me off.

Our roles reversed as he hopped on my stomach and I struggled to buck him off. Knowing I didn't have the strength to force him off me, I used my tail to wrap around his throat and cut off his air.

Grunting, he reached for the tail instinctively to gain air, and I used the opening to throw him off me.

I flipped to my feet, doing a little cheer inside about how cool it was that I could do that, and raced to get in close again. Goku got up just in time to block the punch I had aimed for his nose. I attacked relentlessly, throwing punches and kicks and a few swipes with my whip like tail in, driving him to slowly retreat as he fended me off.

Grinning inside, I drove him closer and closer to the edge of the stadium. As soon as we were about a step a way, I jumped back. Quickly I threw myself in the air again before Goku could realize my plan, and connected solidly with the middle of his chest, bouncing off him and turning to flip to my feet safely in the boundary.

I turned to watch gravity do it's job when something wrapped about my arm.

Gasping I jerked away but it was too late. Using me as leverage, Goku pulled himself back into the ring while flinging me out of it. Gritting my teeth, I reached out and grabbed the very edge of the platform with my hands, pushing back to hit Goku in the back with both feet

As he stumbled forward I swore under my breath as I fell to my knees, breathing harshly. Getting up quickly as I could, I wiped the blood and sweat from my face and turned around in time to get a foot right to the face.

CRUNCH

Dazedly, I just managed to avoid falling out the ring again, rolling to the side instead as bright hot pain over took me. I held my nose groaning and got to my feet to face Goku, who was still coming for me. I backpedaled as fast as I could, trying to blink the water out of my eyes at the pain emanating from my nose.

I dodged a another swipe to my face, and with a snarl, whipped my fist forward.

CRUNCH

Goku's nose broke, matching mine. Taken by surprise and with obviously watering eyes, Goku jumped back, holding his nose and complaining loudly about the blood and pain.

Great, heaving gasps shook my body as I tried to catch enough air to breathe properly, but a crazy smile stayed on my face.

This fight—it felt good. I hadn't fought with Goku or anybody like this for a long time. The adrenaline rushing through my body filled me with a sense of giddiness. I smiled viciously at my brother, my slightly sharp canines in full view and glimmering sharply in the light.

Goku had a similar expression on his face, and we both grinned at each other, ignoring the blood dripping slowly from our noses and other small gashes in our bodies. There was a challenge glinting in my brothers eyes, and I knew I had a similar one in mine. This—this power, this rush, it felt…amazing. It wasn't just adrenaline, though that was surely part of it. I had such a sense of euphoria at the thought of how strong Goku was and how strong I was, this feeling was more. It was….not human. No human liked a bloody nose, but this power, just from putting myself against someone, to a Sayian, was like drugs to a junkie.

Fighting is what I was born for.

"LOOK AT THIS! THOUGH BOTH FIGHTERS HAVE OBVIOUSLY TAKEN SOME DAMAGE THEY JUST KEEP SMILING! THESE KIDS ARE ONE OF A KIND!"

Blonde and the crowd broke me out of my thoughts. I made eye contact with Goku and saw the same thing in his eyes.

/TO END THIS/

Swiftly, I ran at Goku head on. He grinned and and charged to meet me. Just before we made contact though, I veered off and started running in a wide circle around him. I pushed myself to go faster and faster. 'Cmon you can do this' I thought. Just a little more…

"WHATS THIS?! SHEILA…SHES MULTIPLIED! HOW?!

'Yes! Sheila's Super Speedy Move: After-Image!' I thought to myself giddily, grinning dorkishly at my little name. Take the girl of the world, but take out the nerd in the girl?! Hell no!

Goku looked around wildly at all the images of me, obviously really confused on what I was doing. Somewhere, I'm sure 'Jackie Chun' is scratching his head trying to figure out where I learned this.

As Goku looked at all my images, I smiled grimly. This technique hadn't been used by 'Chan' yet, but just because it hadn't been 'taught' to me didn't mean I couldn't know it. It was entirely possible to figure it out on your own.

Unfortunately, I was wore down enough that I couldn't keep it up for long. In fact, I was pretty exhausted, more so than I should be. 'It's probably that damn cold' I thought, grinding my teeth. 'Looks like this is my last chance to win' I gritted my teeth and balled up my hands into fist, my eyes narrowing to look at Goku, who was watching each image critically. 'Before he catches on'.

My after images were spread out around him. Attacking from directly in front or behind was not an option. He'd be waiting for a hit from behind, and he would see one in front coming. But.. Yes, I could use that. Smiling, I went ahead with my plan.

Round and around I ran, watching Goku for the perfect moment. When the coast was clear, I aimed right at the back of his head. At the last second, he turned around to meet my blow head on, effectively blocking my strike.

Or he would have, if his hand hadn't passed right through 'me'. Meanwhile, the real me dove with all my might from above, coming with a downward kick that smashed directly into the soft spot on the back of his head, knocking him out cold.

—But my foot passed through nothing. Out of the corner of my eye, I could only feebly turn as a kick flew right into my chest, sending me flying into the nearest wall. I crashed into the brick hard, and could feel the cracks spreading. My head followed the momentum and bounced off the unmoving stone.

Everything went hazy and strange as I fell flat on my face on the ground. Black spots danced merrily in front of my eyes. Groaning, I struggled to my hands and knees, and managed to stand just barely, screaming at my body to just move right now now he's he's com..in..g

But it wasn't enough.

The black spots bled into everything, and it swept me up like a tidal wave.

The last thing I saw was the ground coming up to welcome me as I crashed downward

Goku

Goku barely managed to land on his feet as Sheila went flying into the wall. Rubbing his eyes and breathing heavily, trying to catch his breath.

CRASH

He looked up to where he sent Sheila flying at the sound, seeing the wall crack as his sister hit it, kicking up dust everywhere. Faintly, he watched the shape of Sheila hit the ground face down and immediately stand slowly.

Goku frowned. There was something..off about her movements. Even through the dust he could see how her limbs obviously shook, and it took her several tries to actually stand, seeming to mess up the placement of her feet.

Confused, Goku looked at her eyes and was shocked at the look there. Though her body seemed wrong, there was sharp black inferno in her eyes. He tensed, smiling at that determination. This was his sister! Sheila was the strongest person he knew! Only she could make him fight like this, wild and free, able to truly test how strong he was!

He ran to meet her, ready to continue the fight. But just as suddenly as the fire appeared, it was gone. Her eyes filled with a glazed look, almost like she was sleepy, and seemed to look right through him as her body slowly started to fall, almost in slow motion.

Goku's eyes widened, and his charge turned into a dive. He barely managed to catch her body before her head could bounce off of the ground. He grunted at the dead weight, lifting her completely into his arms.

Eyes furrowed, Goku looked at her face, because Sheila hated it when he picked her up. "I'm not a child, and you shouldn't pick me up like one" she'd always say (Goku thought that she secretly liked it when he did it. Before she screamed and yelled at him, there was always a moment of surprised silence and a look in her eye a 'Oh that's okay I know you won't drop me kind of look. But he wasn't ever gonna tell her that. He was a simple kind of kid, but he wasn't a dummy.)

Goku was surprised when he saw that Sheila looked like she was taking a…nap? He frowned. Sheila did not take naps. He plopped down on the ground, gently touching her face. When that didn't result in yelling and jumping up, he shook her lightly with no response.

Now entirely unsure what to do, he looked at the announcer, who was talking really quickly in his micro what's it.

"IT LOOKS LIKE THIS IS THE END FOLKS! SHEILA IS UNCONSCIOUS AND THEREFORE UNABLE TO CONTINUE IN THE MATCH! GOKU IS THE WINNER!"

He won? But Sheila didn't give up! And what did unconsis mean? Determined to find out, he picked up his sister—still taking a nap, how silly of her— and went to the white-coat people with the stick bed approaching. They stopped when they saw him coming, but seemed focused on Sheila.

Goku stopped, confused again, as they gestures impatiently at her. What did they want? A few second of the waving their hand at him continues until a tiger lady—Goku knew this because she had a very long eyelashes, but he could be sure unless he patted them and people didn't like it when he did that—came closer.

"Here I'll take 'er." Her voice was very growly but not threatening, so Goku just tilted his head at them.

"Huh? She's just napping, though I don't know why Announcer called it inconsis, or why she is, she doesn't like naps."

But Goku gave her to the lady anyway, because she was obviously a doctor, and those could be trusted as long as there was no needle.

The tiger doctor lady immediately set Sheila on the stick-bed, who did nothing, then turned back to Goku with a friendly smile.

"Oh, I see why you didn't bring 'er to us. You are right—she is sleeping, but she didn't choose to sleep. When you kicked 'er into the wall she must have hit 'er head. Your head is usually really strong, but if it gets hit hard enough, it can make people go unconscious, which is like sleeping but not the same thing. People that sleep can be woken up easy but those who are unconscious can't, because their body is too tired or hurt to wake up again."

Goku hummed, thinking. "So her body said that it was time to sleep cause her head got hurt? Oops, I'd didn't mean to hurt her."

He looked down, feeling bad. He didn't want to hurt his sister, but it was a fair fight, so he knew it was okay, even if something inside itches at him to protect her protect her why did you hurt her is she okay

Goku looked up when the lady laughed, and rubbed his head kindly.

"Yep that's about right. But don't feel bad kid. You won fair and square, and your sister didn't just let you win! Feeling bad makes it like she didn't deserve your best, and by the look of you that's far from the truth."

Goku blinked, but grinned at the tiger lady. "Okay! I'll remember that. I know she's strong, so I won't feel bad again. But she'll be okay?"

Th lady smiled back "She sure will! Now go ahead and celebrate!"

The lady turned and went back with Sheila to the other doctors. Grinning happily, Goku turned to face the crowd, who was chanting his and his sisters name cause they had fought so well. Laughing, he waved at the people, happily thinking to himself as he jumped down excitably.

'I can't wait for my next match! Sheila is strong, so my next fight could be even better!'

A/N: Hehe, what a fight! This chapter practically wrote itself. I'm really proud of those fight scenes, so tell me what you guys thought of them! Again, thank you to everyone who has stuck with this story. As a gift and an apology, this chapter is the longest I've wrote for this fic so far, coming in at just over 4,000 words!

Until next time!
