To her surprise, Fillmore produced a tye-dye wrapped present.

"Here, Elizabeth."

She hugged his fender tightly, smiling. "Thanks, Fillmore. What is it? Is it a puppy? A horse? What about a snake? Ohhh, maybe it's a portable time machine!" She exclaimed, and the others laughed.

"You'll just have to open it and see." He replied, and she began to unwrap it, then paused.

"It won't try and bite me as soon as I unwrap it, right?"

Fillmore sighed, then pushed it towards her.

"Okay, okay, I'm opening it." She grinned, then began tearing the paper neatly.

"That's not how ya do it." He replied, then began clawing at the paper with his tires.

Foxy laughed, then began clawing at the paper also. Soon, the paper was ripped off, and a box was revealed. "It's a box." She replied, then grinned. "I love it! It's just what I wanted!" She began laughing with the others, then Fillmore shook his front.

"It's in the box." He replied, and Foxy gave him a teasing grin.

"I know, I'm teasing." She replied, and he tickled her with a tire. She squeaked, sounding like a squeaky toy.

Thunder's head bolted up as he looked around for the supposed toy.

Lightning laughed. "You tricked him, Foxy. He thought you were a real squeaky toy!" With that, he began laughing again, this time joined by Doc and Sheriff.

Foxy rolled her eyes with a sigh, then opened the box. She gasped in delight and pulled out a tye-dyed collar with metal spikes going around it.

"Fillmore, it's incredible!" She exclaimed, then took off her old collar, placing her new one on instantly. "Do I look ferocious?" She asked with a grin, then growled playfully.

"The spikes make it look mean, while the tye-dye shows that you can be reasonable." Lightning replied, and Foxy laughed.

"Thanks, Light. I think it looks perfect." She sat down, her tail wagging rapidly, and busied herself with taking her tags and house key off her old collar and placing it on her new one.

Fillmore ruffled her hair with a chuckle, then told her that it suited her.

"Fillmore, It's incredible. I love it! Thanks a million and one." She replied with a large grin.

"You're welcome, Elizabeth."

"There!" Foxy exclaimed a few seconds later, then stood up and shook her head, making her dog tags jingle. She growled playfully, hopping onto Lightning's hood, her tail high in the air and puffed up.

"That really sounds threatening." He told her, and she grinned.

"Thanks, Light. I try." She hopped down off Lightning's hood, then sat back down at Fillmore's side.

"Now you'll really scare off anyone, Foxy. You'd make a good guard dog." Strip told her, and she perked up at the idea.

"Hey, yeah! I'd love that!"

"Don't give her any ideas." Sheriff muttered to Strip, who chuckled.

"Aww, come on, Sheriff, pleeeease?" She sat on the ground near him in a dog-like position, then tilted her head slightly to the right and down, looking up at him with begging eyes. The tip of her tail, which was curled around her feet, began wagging slightly. She added a slight, quiet whimper for an added effect. She could see that he was weakening, and made her canine-like whimper slightly louder. By now, the others were watching silently with amusement.

"Ohh, all right." Sheriff groaned finally, and Foxy perked up.

"Thanks, Sheriff!" With that, she bounced onto his roof and hugged it.

"But only because that was pretty good." He told her, and she grinned.

"Thanks! I've had lots of practice." She jumped down from his hood, and was surprised when Lightning pushed a box covered with bright red wrapping paper her way. "What is it, Light?"

"Open it and see." He told her.

She gave him a crafty grin, then tore into the paper, sending it flying.

She opened the box, and discovered a new, red name tag with her nickname on a background of a single lightning bolt behind the number 95. On the back of the tag was the town's address. "Wow, It's amazing! Thanks, Light!" She set to work taking off her old, purple, heart-shaped tag that just had 'Mariana' on it, and worked the new tag that now read 'Foxy' onto the loop.

"It goes well with the collar." Sheriff admitted, and Foxy grinned.

"I love them! Thanks, you guys!" She jumped onto Lightning's hood, and wrapped herself around his hood and fenders in a large hug. He laughed, then replied that he thought the old one was looking worn out. "It was. I've had that one ever since I went into high school, so... about three years now?"

"And you never took the collar off?"

"I had a thinner one on before, but that one was even worse then that one. My friend back home, her name was Hobo, got me that one for Christmas. What she didn't know was that I had been planning on going out and buying myself a new collar."

"You had a friend whose name was 'Hobo'?"

"Yeah, long story short, they were kicked out of their house for a while, her family I mean. So when she came back, her nickname was Hobo."

"Any other strange nicknames?"

"Yeah, my one friend's name is Muskrat, one's name is Tabbi, one's name is Brandy, another who's 'D', one who's name is-" Foxy hesitated, and the others grew wary.

"What's wrong?" Sheriff asked, picking up on her hesitation.

"Nothing. Nothing's wrong." She then gave Sheriff a strange little laugh. He gave her a firm look, and she sighed.

"All right. An ex. He was a ginger, so everyone called him 'Ginger', including me. At least, I wanted him to be an 'ex'." She replied quietly. "Then, the day I was poofed here, he wanted to go... bowling. I said that I didn't want to go, but he... told me that I was going bowling, so I panicked and hid in my attic when he came to the door. I think he tried to get in, because I heard the door knob being moved, but then he left." She replied quickly, and her tone told the others that she didn't want to talk about the subject any longer.

Flo set Foxy's coffee down at her side, and Foxy gave her a smile.

"Thanks, Flo. Merry Christmas."

"You're welcome, Foxy, and a Merry Christmas to you too."

Later that day, Foxy found herself down at the Butte, standing in a pile of snow and looking out at the track. At the sound of a familiar engine coming her way, she turned to see Fillmore driving towards her. She gave him a smile, then went the rest of the way, and set her hand on his front gently.

"Hi, Fillmore." She greeted him, seeing that he had a string of Christmas lights around his roof.

"Hi, Elizabeth." He returned her greeting with a smile and a gentle nudge.

"Fillmore, do you think I'm ever going home?"

Fillmore's eyes grew worried, and he hesitated before replying with a quiet "I doubt it, man."

To his surprise, Foxy smiled. "Me neither." She kissed the VW symbol on his front, then in a flash, tossed a snowball at him playfully.

He returned fire, then they were soon involved in an all-out snowball fight. As they laughed and tossed snowballs at each other, they had no idea that Max was watching from the ledges.

"Well, Liz, it looks like we won't be able to get home for a while. It's probably for the best, anyhow."

He didn't realize that he had spoken his thoughts quietly as he sat parked there, hidden from view behind a tall saguaro cactus that was draped in snow.

AAAAAAANNNNND... Not Everything Is What It's Cracked Up To Be is officially... over!

Wow... I've been working on this story for the past two years, and it's like it's become a part of me. Now that it's over, it's like... 'Wow, now what do I do?' I'll tell you! Buuut... I'm sure you all want Foxy to answer your questions, am I right?! Annnd the questions are in, so let's begin!

DancingKitKat asks, 'When did Foxy start wearing her ears and tail? Which came first? Did anyone else she knew wear them?'

Foxy: Wow, good job! I love that you guys have so much to ask! Now, my answers. For your first question, I started wearing them physically when I went to Light's first race. I first wanted them about three years ago, when I first got into high school. Second question, my ears came first in the actual making of the pair. And lastly, your third question. One of my friends used to wear ears and a tail, and a collar too. Her name was 'Puppy', since that was her 'Fursona' was. A wolf. Oh, then there was an awesome girl who was a cat, and wore a collar like me. I think she wore ears too. :)

EmilyTheBrave asks, 'Dear Foxy, do you have a favorite Christmas movie?'

Foxy: Actually, yes! I've got a lot of them! One of my top five is The Polar Express. Another one is Frosty The Snowman, followed by the Miser Brothers Christmas(the old one), then Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer(The old one), and The Nightmare Before Christmas. This last one counts, right? Sure it does, it's my list! :D

So, that was Foxy! Now, for the news you've all been waiting for (DancingKitKat): YES,THERE WILL BE A SEQUEL! It will be added to my list on Wendsday, so look for it then! :D
