It was a nice sunny day out and a man was playing ball in the park with his son as his wife sat in the shade of a nearby tree.
BEEP! BEEP!
The man caught the ball and pulled out what looked like a phone, "Yeah?"
"The other rangers need your assistance downtown, Red Ranger."
"On my way."
"Sorry, duty calls," he handed the ball to his wife as he gave her a kiss goodbye.
"Be careful alright," she brushed her long brown hair out of her eyes.
"Always am," he cheekily grinned. She knew he would do whatever it took even if it meant risking himself.
"Bye kiddo," he ruffled his son's hair as he walked passed.
Jogging he turned back and gave one last wave to his family.
"Come on, lets go wait for Daddy at headquarters," the woman gathered the long forgotten toys as they left the park.

The red ranger now morphed appeared on the scene, "What've we got," he asked his yellow teammate.
"It's Mirloc!"
There were innocent civilians everywhere as well as falling debris. He grabbed a couple and helped them to safety.
"Come on this way," he then led a group of people to a sheltered area away from the danger.
"Hi-yah!" he hit Mirloc with a flying kick and sent the criminal stumbling backwards.
"Ah red ranger," Mirloc stood up and flew at the newcomer, "nice of you to join us."
"You won't be getting away this time, Mirloc," the two exchanged a flurry of punches and kicks. The red ranger flew back into the fountain after a particularly hard hit.
However before Mirloc could attack him while he was down, the blue ranger jumped in and began to duel with him. The other rangers joined in the attack as well but before they knew it they were groaning in pain on the ground, de-morphed.
The red ranger charged at Mirloc with all he had, trying to protect his defenseless teammates. There was a loud explosion and then silence.
The people cheered as the pink ranger held up the containment card that now held Mirloc.
Then, they noticed the red ranger demorphed lying on the ground a few feet away with the green ranger shaking his head as he knelt by his leader, checking his pulse.
A criminal had been taken off the streets that day, but at a high price.

They found his family after returning to headquarters to deliver the tragic news.
"I'm sorry sweetie," the pink ranger grabbed her friend in a fierce hug.
"No!"
Young Schuylar could hear his mother sobbing as his Dad's teammate, blue based on the stripe of his uniform, held out his father's helmet. But Sky wasn't sad, he was proud of his Dad.
He died a hero, protecting the innocent.
He grabbed the helmet,
My turn.
