A/N: This sucks. I know it sucks and yet I am still posting it. I am so sorry. If I was a better writer I would wait until I was happier with it, but I am not so here it is. I am pretty sure that I am going to rewrite this at some point. But until then; enjoy!
Thought Process
It's been 10 years, Jamie thought idly, turning his head to Jack Frost lying next to him. Ten years is a long time. It's a lot of time and you haven't changed at all. "I've known you for half my life." He said aloud. He felt the white haired Guardian shift and then felt a cool breeze as Jack breathed on him. "But really you've been there the entire time, since before I was born," he added, staring up at the stars.
"Jamie, do we have to talk about this now?" Jack asked, sounding embarrassed.
"But doesn't it ever bother you?" Jamie grunted in frustration.
"It sounds more like it bothers you," Jack divined with a knowing smirk.
"Maybe," Jamie relented and turned to face Jack. "I can't stop feeling like I've been denied time with you somehow."
Jack's lips quirked up in a confused grin. "Have you been thinking too much again, James?" Jack said teasing Jamie. He laughed when Jamie's face contorted into mock disgust at the use of his real name. Jack leaned over the twenty year old and reached out to take hold of the brunet's gloved hand. "If there is one thing that I have learned over the years it's to be thankful for the time that is given to you, because you never know when it will end."
Jack knew he had said the wrong thing when Jamie's eyes widened with fear. "I don't want it to end. EVER!"
"No, Jamie. Calm down. That's not what I meant I misspoke is all," Jack admitted and squeezed Jamie's hand. "I'm here buddy. I'm not going anywhere," he promised and silenced Jamie's argument by pressing his cold lips to the brunet's. "See, I'm still here. I always will be; lead tongue and all. So stop worrying." He reassured and kissed him again.
Jamie held onto Jack as he pressed cold kisses on Jamie's lips and cheeks until Jack saw the panic fade away from the believer's eyes and was replaced with comfort and a desperate longing.
"You are right," Jamie agreed with a shaky nod. "I think too much."
Jack smiled and pressed his forehead to Jamie's. "I think I can help you with-" before he could finish Jamie wrapped his arms under the winter sprite's neck and kissed him.
"Thinking is overrated."
"My thoughts exactly," Jack agreed and enjoyed the soft sound of Jamie's chuckling before he kissed him again.
