A/N: I was bored. Tumblr was down. I had finals to study for. So this happened.

Emma was walking along the side of the road, no real destination in mind. It was just such a nice Saturday, she was on her lunch break, and she just couldn't bear to spend it in the station. Speaking of which, she needed lunch. Right. Granny's it was.

She was checking her phone- texting and walking at the same time was never a good thing- when she crashed into something particularly hard. She would've fallen down on the pavement, too, if a pair of strong arms hadn't gone around her at that very moment.

The scent of the ocean with a hint of spice immediately hit her and she inhaled it before she realized what she was doing and who it was.

She almost groaned.

"Oh, God, not you."

Nope, scratch that. She did groan. And he had definitely heard it, if the tightening of his arms was any indication.

"If you want me to hold you so badly, all you have to do is ask, love," a very amused and smirking Killian Jones told her, looking down at her in his grasp.

Emma knew that struggling against him would be pointless, so she tried a different approach, hoping to throw him off. She smiled up at him, and sure enough, he looked taken aback.

"Thank you," she said sweetly, still smiling at him. "For catching me. I don't know what I would've done had you not been in my way."

Good, it was working. Poor Captain Hook, so unused to her kindness. Ah, well. She had to do it, or else she would be stuck here forever. In his arms. And that was one place she had no intention of staying.

His grip on her had loosened and she quickly removed his arms around her and stepped away.

"Well, good day, Captain."

And with that, Emma Swan walked away, leaving a very confused and befuddled Captain Hook to question what had just happened.
