AN: Here is the next Chapter. Sorry it take more than 7 days. Please Enjoy!
Kakashi took a deep breath. This was it. He was going to marry Sakura. His life was going to change forever, more than it has already. A part of him could hardly believe it. If you had asked him a year ago if would ever marry the woman he was secretly sleeping with he would have laughed outright. Then again if someone had told him he was also going to be a father he would have scolded them for even uttering such horrifying words. Never in his life had he imagined himself a father or a husband for that matter. But Sakura had changed all that for him. She showed him what it was like to love and to be loved. To the depths of his soul he was ready to marry the woman and spend the rest of his life with her.
"You alright Kakashi?" Naruto was looking at him with a raised brow."You're not thinking about bailing are you?"
The silver haired man blinked letting the question register and he smiled. "Not on your life."
The younger man grinned and patted him on the back. "Good to hear. I would have hated to chase you down and drag you back here kicking and screaming."
"You don't have to worry about that." The silver haired man chuckled but his face quickly changed to a grimace. "Sakura on the other hand..." He muttered. "I've been waiting her to turn to tail and run." Every day was an emotional roller coaster with that woman. Of course she was pregnant and with that came with hormones that did funny things to a woman. It was amazing watching her visit every emotion in the span of five minutes. Scary, but entertaining nonetheless. During this fast planning of this wedding she had called it off numerous times out of frustration. It was because of him of course, he would never deny it. What was he suppose to do? She constantly would ask him for answers about details in the quick planning process. His response was always 'Whatever you want will be perfect.' Little did he know that was not the right answer. Of course it wasn't until the third time he'd said it that she informed him it was wrong. Apparently telling her he didn't really care about the details as long as he got to marry her was definitely the wrong answer.
"You don't have to worry about that Kakashi." Gai chimed in. "That little lady loves you dearly." He was getting all choked up again. "The power of love is in the air. I just can't believe your finally getting married." Tears were now streaming down the man's face.
"Get a grip Gai." Kakashi patted his best man on the back. "I already told you that you can't start crying till after the service." But he had to admit the man had a point. Because even for all his wrong words and her angry tantrums she planned their wedding and today was the day they were going to say I do.
"I think it's time." Naruto said peaking his head around the door from the side hallway they were suppose to walk in through.
Kakashi's heart began to pound against his ribcage. He hasn't been able to see Sakura since yesterday and it's been utterly killing him. Even with his protests she wouldn't yield for the sake of tradition. Tradition didn't matter to him if it meant he had to be away from Sakura for any amount of time. Yet against his will Sakura had Naruto and Shikamaru drag him from her apartment. It didn't matter if Ino was going to stay with her or not. Just the thought made him pout again.
"Let's go" Naruto drew him from his thoughts again pushing him and Gai towards the door. "And smile would you."
Stepping through the doorway Kakashi was met with the faces of their family and friends as he went to stand in his designated spot followed by the two men. They chose for a small wedding because they wanted it to be quick, well he wanted it to be quick. And he had to give Sakura credit, she did a pretty amazing job in a short amount of time. Pride swelled in his chest. He was sure the woman he loved was capable of anything. Squaring his shoulders and folding his hands in front of him he faced the doorway Sakura was going to walk through and suddenly his nerves kicked in. Soft music began to play and the room chatter ceased. Ino began down the aisle first followed by Hinata. When the music changed for Sakura's entrance he held his breath as the crowd rose.
A flutter of movement was seen by the doorway but then it seemed to retreat back. He let out the breath he didn't know he'd been holding. There was this feeling beginning to settle in the pit of his stomach. Glancing at Ino she met his gaze reading the question on his face because she gave a small shake of her head a quick shrug before she leaned over and whispered something to Hinata. Panic began to build in him. Is she ok? Did she change her mind? What would he do if she changed her mind?
A hand came down on his shoulder and gave a squeeze. He hadn't even noticed he'd closed his eyes or that his breathing had increased until his gaze shot up to meet Gai's smiling face. Motioning his head towards the door he gave a wink. Snapping his head in the direction there was Sakura. Walking towards him looking absolutely stunning. The air caught in his lungs and their eyes met. Oh how he loved her. He really had to be the luckiest man alive.
Something flickered across her face and she came to a halt just five feet from him. Anyone could tell she was forcing the smile on her face and panic rose again in his chest. Was she really getting cold feet? Should he go to her? As he fought internally her expression softened and changed to apologetic. It was a good thing she started walking again cause he was only seconds from closing the distance and snatched hold of her. Not that she could outrun him while so pregnant but it would be just like her to make him work for it.
Coming to finally stand next to him they faced each other. The love he felt for her at this moment he could not even put into words. Taking her hand in his he couldn't help but to bring one to his lips for a kiss. Before he was able to get their hands lowered her grip tightened. Not just tightened, but damn near began cutting the circulation off in hands. He was doing his best to not show the pain on his face when he snapped his gaze to hers to give the 'what the hell look' but seeing her expression nearly stopped his heart. Her eyes were wide and she was taking deep breathes through gritted teeth. In that moment he knew something was seriously wrong.
If he seriously hasn't figured out by now what the hell is going on then he's an idiot. Sakura cursed inwardly as the pain was beginning dull away. The concern and question he left unsaid were written all over his face. Vaguely she could hear the officiate speaking but the words weren't quite registering. It was good the ceremony had started at least. Hopefully it would be over soon because she was pretty confident these babies were coming out sooner rather than later. She's been trying to mentally keep track of the timing between contractions but she was having a hell of time without a clock.
He gave her hands a gentle squeeze bringing her attention back to him. Concern was etched across his face. She pursed her lips. Ok he didn't understand. Glancing down towards her stomach than back to him with a 'that's the problem' look on her face would hopefully get the point across. Concern changed into confusion and she held in the sigh. She was trying to act as normal as possible here, that thought reminding her to smile again. Making it through this ceremony was her only concern. Glancing again twice this time trying her best to keep the irritation off her face. He glanced down at her stomach then back at her slowly understanding dawned on his face. First with wide eyed shock then full on excitement. He looked like he was about to announce the new found news to entire room but with a glance at the officiate complete understanding finally crossed his face. She was in labor and it was in the middle of their wedding.
"Honestly Sakura what is wrong with you?" Ino scolded her as she open the double doors leading into the hospital. "Why didn't you just say something?"
"Because" Sakura was breathing through another contraction. "I was getting married."
"Why are you laughing?" The blonde woman turned her irritation onto Kakashi who was carrying his now wife.
"No point in arguing. Once she decides to do something she's gonna do it." He couldn't even hide his pride for his wife. And here he had been worried she was going to run off. Never in a million years did he think he would get married and hold his newborn sons for the first time in the same day. He didn't even feel bad when he scooped her up rushed out without fully explaining what was going on. Just a quick 'babies hospital' was thrown over his shoulder making a mad dash out.
"Hurry up and get me to a room" Sakura bit out the contraction beginning to fade. "Is Tsnuade already here?"
"Yes" Ino tossed back to them as she steered them into a vacant room. "I'll go get her."
"Can you put me down and help me get this dress off?" She asked seeming already exhausted.
Doing as she asked he put her down. "Are you ok to stand?" He hesitated letting her go in fear she might fall over.
She nodded just before another contraction hit and she reeled in pain. If Kakashi hadn't been there to hold her up she would have been curled up on the floor. As soon as the contraction faded he helped onto the edge of the bed. "Let me grab the hospital gown and we'll get you changed."
Sakura continued to breathe. She had been present during childbirth before and has even delivered a baby a time or two. But nothing in this world could have prepared her for this level of pain. A new respect for her mother and mothers everywhere formed in her heart. Another pain ripped through her and she laid back on the bed. This was happening far faster than she anticipated. "Ka...Kakashi"
"I'm right here Sakura" Appearing next to her taking her hand. Wincing only slightly when she squeezed his fingers. Reaching with his free hand towards her legs his intention was to lift her legs on the bed.
"Don't touch me." Her harsh tone stopped him dead.
Concern etched his face. "Are you ok?"
Emerald eyes flashed anger at him. "Do I look ok to you?" His brow knitted together in both concern and hurt and just like that she felt guilty. "I'm sorry." The contraction finally easing.
"It's ok." He smiled to reassure her. "I just feel helpless right now. I don't know what I can do for you."
"You can help me into bed now." He did just that as Tsunade walked in.
"Are you delivering in your wedding dress?" She mused while putting on a pair of gloves.
"I got her gown but we haven't made it that far." Kakashi pointed to the said gown he tossed on the side table to come to her aid.
"Well let's take a quick look first shall we." The blonde woman helped shimmy her panties off before draping a blanket over her lap. With Sakura in position, her legs up and spread another contraction hit and she swore under her breath. "How far apart are the contractions?" Tsunade asked flipping the blanket up enough so she could get her hand under there to check how far along labor has progressed. Kakashi offering the estimated time. The older woman's eyes widened then she leaned down to look under the blanket.
"What's wrong?" Sakura panted fear gripping her.
The woman took far longer than Sakura had liked to answer. "Nothing." Tsunade withdrew and grabbed the stool nearby coming to the end of the bed. "You're just not going to make it out of that wedding dress. Shizune hurry up! On the next contraction Sakura I'm gonna need you to push."
"Seriously? Can't I have something for the pain?" Tears welled in her eyes.
"There's no time Sakura. These babies are coming now."
"You can do this Sakura. I'm right here with you." Kakashi wiped the tears from her cheek before wrapping her hand between his. "Soon we'll get to meet our sons." She smiled through heavy breaths. His 'I love you' was drowned out by another contraction and Tsunade ordering her to push.
