Sakura dragged her feet as she headed toward her certain doom- I mean reunion with her friends. "I'm gonna get yelled at I just know it." As unbelievable as it is many of the captains had become very protective of Sakura, Byakuya and Toshiro especially. Sakura slipped in unnoticed and waited in the shadows for everyone to arrive. She'd gotten very good at dramatic entrances.

Toshiro made eye contact before smirking and taking his seat. When everyone was seated Sakura observed all of them. Her eyes locked on Hinata and Naruto's intertwined hands. She jumped out of the shadows and squealed as she hugged Naruto and Hinata from behind. "I KNEW IT! When did Naruto wake up, huh, Hina-chan? Tell me!" Hinata blushed and released Naruto's hand.

Naruto laughed. "Shortly after you disappeared. Hinata... helped me out." Naruto sent a smile to Hinata's blushing form.

"Captain, we have something to discuss." Byakuya said coldly.

Sakura winced. "You're gonna yell at me 'cause I let myself die before my time just 'cause my Gramps wanted me to right?"

"Absolutely." Byakuya opened his mouth to begin his long and thought out scolding.

"What's done is done." Toshiro interrupted. "I'm more concerned about Aizen's betrayal and the Uchiha currently occupying our cells."

"I also want to know what you ryoka are doing here." Sakura said.

The orange haired boy she'd seen fighting Renji the day before chimed in. "We're here to rescue Rukia!"

One pink eyebrow rose. "Oh?"

"Yes! It isn't right! She only broke the rules to save me! And I'll fight you for her if I have to! She's my friend and I won't abandon her!" The captains and lieutenants stiffened. I leaned back in my chair and studied the determined features of the boy in front of me.

"You remind me of someone." She mumbled, glancing at Kakashi. Kakashi smiled under his mask.

"Will you release her? Please." Ichigo bowed to Sakura.

Sakura stepped forward and made Ichigo look up. "In the ninja world, those who break the rules are scum, that's true, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum. You are not scum Ichigo Kurosaki."

Ichigo's eyes widened. "How did you know my name?"

Sakura smirked. "Trade Secret." Sakura tilted her head. "I can only do this once. If she breaks the rules again, her fate is out of my hands. Do you understand?"

Ichigo nodded and grinned before enveloping Sakura in a bone crushing hug. "Thank you."

Sakura grumbled. "Just remember this when you become a shinigami and you get so strong you end up taking my job."

Ichigo laughed. "Never. I'll never forget this."

Sakura scowled. "Don't get all mushy, I'm a ninja, an assassin. I don't do mushy."

Naruto burst out laughing. "Shut up or you won't live to be Hokage!" Sakura snapped, cheeks burning.

"Kakashi, would you be so kind as to help in the tortu- I mean interrogation of Sasuke and Aizen." Sakura asked.

Kakashi nodded and followed another shinigami out of the room.

When he returned hours later he informed us he got all the information we needed. "It seems Aizen was planning to kill you using hollows. Sasuke was just along for the ride... and your death. Aizen promised him the power to kill his brother."

Sakura looked highly irritated. "You know I bet if I promised him power he'd be my little lap dog too."

Arms circled her waist and Toshiro pressed against her back. "Sorry that position only belongs to me."

Sakura's whole face brightened and she grumbled. "Sneaky little-"

"Ahem. What do we do Sakura-sama?"

"Execute him. Today. You take out the ring leader and whole organizations fall apart. Sasuke however is not dead and not my jurisdiction. He'll have to be taken to Konoha." She ordered.

Rukia bowed before Sakura and smiled. "Thank you my Lady, for your mercy." The two were set apart from the rest of the group. Aizen was executed, eliminating the threat to Sakura's life. Rukia was freed. Now all that was left was for the ryoka and shinobi to go home.

"Ichigo was going to fight me for your life." Sakura explained.

Rukia's eyes widened and her mouth fell open. "But-"

"He didn't have to. I knew some people like him once before when I was alive. One day, hopefully a long time from now, he will join our ranks and rise very quickly. One day, I'd like to see him as my successor."

Rukia gasped. "But Lady Sakura-"

"He is worthy Rukia. Just as Naruto is worthy of the title Hokage, Ichigo would make a fine Head Captain. Not that he'll be higher on the food chain then me, I'll be retired, not dead. If the boy gets outta line I'll just have to knock some sense into him." Sakura grinned. "Go say goodbye to your friend Rukia, and I'll go say goodbye to mine...for now."

Well, that's it for Head Captain Sakura. I never intended for this to be a long story. It was originally going to just be a One-shot, maybe two. Meh, what happens happens.
