Hello and welcome to my story, Two Worlds, One Family! I hope you will love reading this as much as I loved writing it.

Disclaimer: I own my OCs, the plot and everything else that you don't recognize. The Transformers belong to their respective owners.

EDIT 23.09.2014.: Hello to you all! This story has been an amazing ride, with many, many tears and laughter. This story is, blatantly put, an emotional roller-coaster! I am only going to edit some of my mistakes and misspellings, but the story and its plot stay absolutely the same.

"Uncle Will, do you have to go?" I asked him again. He was leaving for Qatar for 5 months. Whenever I thought of him leaving, I would feel my stomach twisting uncomfortably.

He gave me a smile, as if going to Qatar was the most normal thing in the world, as he ruffled my hair and kissed me on the forehead. I was his only niece, and we were very close. "Yes, Mel, I do. Now, go get Annabelle, my ride's going to be here any minute now." He turned his head around, waiting for a car to pick him up just in front of the house.

I hugged my uncle and went into his house, intent on getting Annabelle. As I went upstairs, the wooden stairs softly creaked at my steps. My uncle's house always had a special atmosphere to it, from the wooden floors and stairs, to the wall that have seen much of my shenanigans from when I was a kid. Smiling at the memories, I walked into Annabelle's room, which had walls colored in a soft shade of pink, and gently took her from her pastel white crib.

"Come Belle, you gotta see your daddy before he goes on his trip." I cooed to her gently, rubbing her soft, small cheek with my finger, as I heard soft footsteps behind me. I turned around to see my aunt, Sarah, leaning against the door threshold, arms crossed.

"You know, Melissa, one day I think you'll make a great mother." She said in her gentle voice as she slowly walked over, and I let her take over Annabelle.

"It's a bit too early for me, Sarah." I blushed at the thought. Sure, kids are nice, but not when they scream and throw tantrums and not when you are only 17.

"True, you still have to finish that high school of yours and go to college." She picked up Belle by the armpits and brought her close to her chest. With a silent nod, she and I went downstairs and just as we got out through the front door, we saw a matte, dark green colored Humvee parked just behind uncle Will. At this moment, I remembered that I forgot to give him a special something.

Rushing back into the house, I ran up into my room and got a folded drawing for him from a drawer in my desk. This was a drawing that I spent a lot of time on, since I loved to draw and saw it as an escape for when times got tough. So what I did, I drew our family. My mom, my dad, uncle Will, aunt Sarah, Annabelle and me. I hoped that this drawing would give him strength in hard situations and keep him going, so that he comes back to us alive and safe.

I exited the house in a rushed manner, just in time to see him kissing Annabelle on the forehead and then Sarah on the lips, Annabelle in Sarah's arms. Jogging up to him, I hugged him tightly and gave him the folded piece of paper. He started to unfold it, but I stopped him.

"No." I shook my finger. "Open it when you get there." He gave a short laugh and smiled at me, and hugged me again.

"Be good, my girls." He said as he waved at us.

I felt my throat tightening from him going away. If he could just not go, if he could just come back sooner…

Uncle Will got into the passenger seat of the military Humvee, and soon, the vehicle got off the gravel in front of his house and sped off on the driveway. As the vehicle was driving away, it was only becoming a smaller dot in the horizon, until we could see it no more.

My heart was already aching for my uncle to come back. I hope this mission will go well.

Quiet sobs broke the silence, and my fixed gaze at the Humvee, which was no longer there. I turned around, seeing hot tears dripping down Sarah's cheeks.

"Oh, Sarah…" I came up to her and hugged her. "It's going to be okay. Will is the Captain, he's going to be alright." I soothed both her and myself at the same time. She stopped sobbing and whispered a 'thank you' as I silently nodded and took Belle from her arms. Both of us went inside the house, as Sarah turned left and went through the dining room to get to the kitchen to make dinner for us. I went upstairs carefully, as to not trip and hurt Annabelle.

Once I got to her pink room, I gently put the newborn into her crib. She yawned, stretching her little, fatty arms and going to sleep. She was so cute to look at. I caressed her small, warm cheek and smiled. She was such a little angel. I always thought babies would be crying left and right, but Annabelle didn't seem so mischievous. I covered her small, warm body with a pink blanket up to her shoulders, smiling.

Sarah seemed to be in very good post-birth shape. Annabelle was brought to this world only 3 days ago, and sadly, this was their first day out of the hospital. I don't think Will event had the chance to hold Belle yet.

After putting Annabelle to sleep, I went into my room. Although technically it wasn't mine, but during the holidays, my parents would bring me here and the room was reserved for me. It was the perfect escape from my bustling city, the school, and boys. There was so much peace, quiet and tranquility here.

I found my phone on the bed table, charging. I took the phone and flipped it open as I sat on the made up bed. I had 2 messages from my parents, who were back home in Texas.

'Sweetie, better start packing! Dad's going to pick you up tomorrow morning.' Mom's message said. I opened up the second message, this time from my dad.

'Honey, mom's sending me to pick you up tomorrow.' Dad's simple message stated.

"No time like the present, I guess." I said to myself. Packing wasn't really the number one thing I wanted to do now, but best to be done with it. I left my phone back on the bedtable, and pulled out my suitcase from underneath the bed. After that, I took my clothes from the closet and packed them neatly into the suitcase, leaving a clean shirt and spare jeans for tomorrow's road trip back home. I also left a plastic bag in which I was going to put the clothes I was wearing now. Mom will have a lot of fun washing my clothes from this vacation.

"Melissa, dinner's ready!" Sarah's voice echoed, but it wasn't loud enough to wake up the young but heavy sleeper in the next room, and by that I meant Annabelle. As I went downstairs and into the kitchen, the chef of the house didn't even have to tell me what to do. I reached for the cream colored wooden cupboards and took out the silverware, putting the forks, knives and bowls on the table. Once the table was prepared for dinner, Sarah put a spoonful of soup into our plates and we sat down.

We ate in silence as the TV was turned on, but nothing special was on it. The TV remote was always on the table, so I took it and flipped through the channels while I kept looking at the screen. I found the MTV channel and listened to some music with Sarah. After we finished eating the soup, Sarah brought out some mashed potatoes, fried chicken and peas. I absolutely loved her cooking and her passion for it. She really was a master of the culinary arts.

"Dad's coming to pick me up tomorrow." I informed Sarah as we continued to eat.

"Do you need any help with packing?" She offered.

"No, I'm already packed. I just don't want to leave." I said and took a bite of my fried chicken. It was so delicious.

"You'll be here soon again." Sarah smiled at me.

"I can't wait." I said with a smile. I would be sad when I got back home. Not just because of school and all of that, but because Sarah would be alone here with Annabelle and she would fret over Will on the daily.

And then, the heavy sleeper upstairs woke up and started wailing from lack of attention. I offered to take the plates so that Sarah could take care of her baby girl. After I put the dishes in the dishwasher, I went back into my room, put my phone to recharge again and crashed on the bed, too lazy to change into my pajamas. I was really tired and blue.

Slipping under the duvet, I muttered out a silent prayer before I fell asleep. "Good night, uncle Will. Please be safe."
