Catch a Cloud and Pin It Down

One minute, she's next to him on the roof; the next, she's flying off of it, screaming, "Wa-hoooo!" as she plummets forty stories down.

Diving over, under, around laser beams on a grid; the sight of her nimble flips and turns brings a smile to his face.

She zooms in and out of air vents, as quick as can be, leaving no trace, as if she was never there.

Paris, Moscow, London; she never stops – If I stop moving, I die

Moving from seat to seat, never content with what she has, until he captures her, puts his arm around her, and makes her sit still. Then she curls up and cuddles into him, content…for now, her deft hands picking a lock – click, open, close, click, open, close, click.

As soon as she's asleep, there goes her foot, tap-tap-tap-tap, as if she's running, running free.

So he pulls her in tighter – Never gonna let go, darlin' – although it only serves to keep her close until she wakes up and dashes off again, a perpetual whirlwind of beautiful, graceful motion.

So he gets up with a stretch, and hurdles along after her, content to chase her if that's what he has to do to be near her.

She slows down a bit to let him catch up, neck to neck, and then she spins out with a grin, wild and free, certain that he'll be there to catch her when she falls.

He is. And for that one moment, she's still.
