Once a pirate, always a pirate

Summary: When they get back to Storybrooke there is only one way Hook can think of to get Emma to see him.

Killian knew Emma was avoiding him. It was no secret that they had hit it off on that journey of theirs from his land to hers. She had even been pleasantly surprised when she had learned he had tricked Cora so that they could get to her. So grateful that she had actually kissed him…then pretended like it never happened.

But he was not in the habit of letting things he wanted slip away. If she was avoiding him he was going to make sure she couldn't. So he came up with a rather ingenious plan.

In the early morning when he knew Emma would just be starting work he got up in his room at Granny's then made his way from the Inn to the Diner. He walked over to the cash register, and with something called a 'paper clip' that he had gotten from the inn he picked the lock. Then he purposefully triggered the alarm that he had charmed Ruby into showing him one evening after having gotten a few drinks in her.

Then he waited.

It wasn't long before he heard the sound of police sirens coming his way.

When the door opened he saw Emma with her gun out. There was something incredibly attractive about the way she handled that little weapon of hers. After she noticed him she looked at him in disgust. "You've got to be kidding me."

Hooks lips twitched into a smile. "Hello, lovely."

"I should have known you were going to be trouble," said Emma, as she took out a pair of handcuffs.

"You have no idea how attractive you are at this moment…a gun and handcuffs. Want to play a little before you take me in?"

"Sure. I'll shoot first then you can run." She grinned at him as she strode forward to place the cuffs on him. He didn't even try to escape.

"Well now love, let's not be too hasty. If you shoot me we can't have any fun," said Killian, "besides, I didn't actually steal anything. You can check for yourself."

The handcuffs were already on him but his comment made Emma pause to go look in the cash register. Sure enough, not a single thing had been taken. She stared at him. "What are you up to Hook?"

He stepped forward so that he was as much in her personal space as he could be. Emma stiffened, always the wary one. "To be in your stunning presence," he said. "You and I have unfinished business my dear."

"Look, I already thanked you for helping us stop Cora but-"

"But nothing, you took something from me and I am not in the habit of letting things I want slip away."

She rolled her eyes. "What could I have possibly taken from you?"

"My chance to kiss you first," he said, and swiftly placed his lips firmly on hers. He was pleasantly surprised when she made no move to shove him away, and instead wrapped her arms around him. She fumbled as she tried to unlock the cuffs.

Once his hands were out, Hook picked her up off the ground then placed her on the counter nearby not once pulling away from her. She ran her hands through his hair making him grin into the kiss.

When they finally did part, they were both smiling and out of breath. "You don't really want to arrest me now do you?" he asked.

"Well…I suppose not," said Emma, "you can't buy me breakfast if I do. But you're explaining things to Granny."

"Of course love," he said, then kissed her once more. "You'll keep her from killing me?"

Emma shrugged. "Maybe, but I make no promises…and you know if you want to see me you can't just go around stealing things."

Killian laughed. "I thought we established that I didn't actually steal anything. But I won't promise you anything. After all, once a pirate…"

She sighed, knowing full well that Hook was going to be trouble. But she kissed him again anyway.
