Isis frowned, she was injured, jittery and most of all extremely exhausted. She made her way out of the building and into the ruins of the camp that Jacob had created.

Her hair fell into her blood stained face, watching the fires in the cars expand and some of the residents who originally lived there scatter out for their lives. She was too tired to go on but right now, she ran on nothing but pure adrenaline. Her gray eyes were dull and dark as she attempted to stay awake long enough to get out of the camp.

Corpses of bodyguards lay everywhere. She merely passed through them and knelt down once she got back to her exit. Weakly, she pulled back the sheet of metal covering the opening and crawled through.

She looked up to be welcomed by the dark forest again – only to meet a large amount of walkers. Her eyes widened and her heart raced, leaping into her throat. She quickly pulled herself halfway out before her rifle got jammed through the opening. One walker noticed her and then another two and that's when she immediately began to scrape and pull at the ground, rushing to get herself unstuck but it was useless. The walkers who noticed Isis snarled at her, falling to their knees, literally crawling to be able to get to their prey.

Isis whimpered, quickly slipping out of the rifle strap and she pulled out a knife from her boot. She shrieked when the first walker grabbed a hold of her though she snatched the walker by its thin hair and she plunged the sharp metal deep into its brain. She rolled on her back and pushed the body off her, quickly stabbing the second walker, pulling its rather heavy body off her, sapping more of her strength. She huffed, getting to her knees, unhooking her strap of the rifle from the metal fringe. She felt faint and halfway passed out, though she caught herself by falling to the wall. Her breathing was shallow and her vision – blurry. She blinked and started her quick trek deep into the woods. Though the walkers immediately caught onto her and followed her path.

Isis was beyond her limit of exhaustion and she fell to the leaves under her, too tired to do anything, she watched through her blurred vision as the dead bodies shuffled closer and closer to her. She gripped her knife but her arm would not move. A sharp sound of a gunshot was heard, which startled her.

One walker down. . .

Another one, and then another one. Isis watched as the walkers were being picked off one by one, she could only lay there, though before finally succumbing to her exhaustion she heard a voice.

"I gotcha girl. I gotcha. Relax. . ."

Daryl caught up to the group and met them halfway.

"Where's Vixie's sister? Shane?"

Rick stopped for a breather as well as Glenn and T-Dog. "He went back for her, she was gone too long and he was more than eager to go and retrieve her."

"Tried to stop him, but the bastard refused and urged us to go on since the herd of these walkers are beginning to multiply." T-Dog finished, wiping the sweat from his brow. Daryl frowned, he did not want anything to happen to Vixie's sister though he did not want to send everyone back out to get themselves killed when obviously they still have a problem at hand.

"Dammit. I'm sure he will come back with her. Right now we need to get Rick back because Lori and Carl are stressing out big time. Vixie is already there and Hershel is looking after her but we have to go, this herd is getting bigger and us standing here ain't gonna make it any better." Daryl reiterated, readjusting his crossbow.

"We have to get moving, these walkers are multiplying by the second." Glenn muttered, backing away when the walkers came closer to them.

Rick ordered them to leave Shane so they could get home in time so they could evacuate everyone. The pushed through the woods, listening to the evil snarls of growls of the animated corpses deep in the woods. The only thing driving them was their own families and just mere safety in general.

Glenn was not paying attention and he tripped over a log, thus making it easier prey for the walkers. His yelp alerted the group and they came running back to help him, immediately afterward, they continued forward until they reached Hershel's farm, though it was in chaos.

Walkers surrounded the farm home, the large barn was on fire and Lori was screaming for Carl. Rick's eyes grew wide and he sped off, screaming his wife's name. The others stood in horror. There were too many walkers to count and there was only Hershel and the girls.

"Oh my God..." T-Dog muttered, wiping his sweaty face with his large palm. Glenn's eyes widened, leaving the redneck and black man to find Maggie.

Daryl and T-Dog quickly stopped themselves from staring too long and headed down to get the others to safety. T-Dog picked off the closest walkers who were near Andrea, and vice versa when walkers were behind him.

"Where's Vixie?!" Daryl hollered at Hershel who was loading his shotgun, stepping down the steps of his home to protect it.

"She should be in the house still, dammit!"

Daryl growled and pushed the screen door open and went into the living room, rounding the couch and into the hallway to the room where he laid her there. He burst through the door and she was gone. He snarled and looked to see the window wide open.

"Goddammit!" He cursed, leaving the house in a panic, wondering where in the hell she could have gone. Once he got outside everyone was huddled up, grabbing weapons out of the bag.

"Vixie's missing ya'll, she ain't in her damn room!" Daryl growled, alerting everyone else.

"What? Where could she have gone to?" Maggie asked, she was watching Vixie most of the time and she was out the last time she had seen her. Glenn frowned and was surprised when Maggie cocked the shotgun.

"It serves her right, we can look for her after we get everyone else rounded up, we have to get this farm under control first. We can use the cars to lead the rest of the walkers off, kill as many as we can..." Andrea muttered, leaving as well as T-Dog to start off the killing spree.

"This herd is getting bigger! Right now, we have to hurry up and get this shit under control!" T-Dog warned them all, hopping in the truck, Glenn along with the Shepard puppy and Maggie hopping in the Tuscon. Daryl frowned, he knew they were right, he would use his bike to circle around the place and find her, she couldn't be far.

Vixie headed towards the burning barn, her vision was double but she knew she heard someone screaming, and it was not the walkers. She grunted, her holster wrapped around her hips, her wild hair blew in the wind as she squinted her eyes and shielded herself from the now hot air due to the flames.

"Help! Help me! Dad! Mom!"

Vixie pulled out her gun and tried her best to keep focus, she knew that voice. It was Carl. Her heart raced and she saw a handful of walkers at the barn door but it was shut. She made her way around the back, there was an RV in the back, walkers were ravaging whoever it was in the back, she heard more screaming and she knew she had to hurry up.

"Carl! Carl! Honey! I'm here!" She called out to an opening at the top of the barn, quickly climbing to the roof of the RV, her loud voice alerted the walkers and she snarled, she had to lure those things away from Carl so he wouldn't be afraid to get down. She stomped on the RV and hollered for the walkers to come towards her.

"Vixie?" Carl was near the window now and he saw on the RV, the dark haired girl. "Help me please, Vixie!"

"I'm here, Carl! Stay near the window and I will get you out! You stay there okay? Vixie screamed, taking in deep breathes so she could figure out her next move to get the poor boy out.

Carl finally felt at ease though he was still panicking because the flames were getting out of hand now. He watched as Vixie held out her arms for him to jump, he knelt down and took a breath, hopping from the window and landing on the RV roof, Vixie quickly pulled him into her arms, brushing his hari out of his face.

"Oh baby... Oh my goodness Carl, what were you doing up there?! How did you set that whole barn on fire?" She muttered to him, ignoring the walkers for a second to see how Carl was. The boy was shaken and had a few minor burns on his arms but other than that he was fine.

"I went out to look for dad and the others... I was so scared because they never came back with you. The walkers were getting bigger so I thought I could lure them here and set them on fire..." Carl panted, clutching closely to Vixie as he caught his breath. "I'm sorry...I thought I could come back safely with everyone..."

Vixie closed her eyes and held the boy tighter, shushing him. "Hush, don't apologize... now lets hurry and get out of here."

Carl stayed close to Vixie as she pulled out her gun, walking towards the end of the RV, she quickly picked off the walkers that were there and jumped down, quickly reaching for Carl to get down as well. Once they both made it, they saw how quickly the walker numbers were growing...

"Oh My God..." Vixie muttered under her breath, holding Carl's hand as they rushed towards the house, but it was too late... the cars were leaving, Hershel was gone, Daryl, Lori, Andrea... everyone...

"NO!" Vixie screamed, "NO!" She fell to her knees, utterly exhausted, Carl had tears streaming down his face as he saw the dust from the cars leaving...

What were they to do?

Rick and Hershel parked at the Highway where it all began...where they lost Sophia. Rick stopped and laid his head down on the steering wheel. He had to go back...his wife...his son. He couldn't lose them...but he had no choice. He had to get off that farm before he was killed. Both he and Hershel...what would be the point of him looking if he were dead?

"We have to go back." Rick declared, staring at the vacant cars ahead of him. Hershel was quiet for a moment until he finally spoke.

"Now Rick..."

"No Hershel...we have to go back. My...my son... Lori; my wife is still out there somewhere...even your girls. We have to go back and look for them." Rick reiterated, he was getting ready to start the engine again when the former vet stopped him and shook his head.

"Rick...it's suicide going back...let's wait here until they come...they just might be alive...give it some time before we go back out there..." Hershel tried to comfort the former sheriff, he got out of the car and placed his hands in his pockets, looking around at the eerily quiet highway.

"How can you say that? What, you just want us to wait here and die as well? This place isn't even safe!"

Hershel closed his eyes and sighed, he was a man of God, but he was so confused on how things were now turning out... he wish he had known the answer but he didn't... "If you're that eager...please be safe and keep a clear head when you go, but I'm staying... I've lost my wife, my farm and possibly even my daughters... if a walker gets me, so be it."

Rick paced back and forth, wondering what he should do. He still had no idea where Shane was and even Vixie's sister... he knelt down and tried to contain the sob that wanted to exit his aching heart...

"Lori, Carl..."

Suddenly, he heard the roar of a motorcycle. Then the Suv followed, then the blue truck...his eyes widened as he watched the vehicles one by one followed each other towards him and Hershel the both shared a glance and smiled at each other.

"Rick!" Lori hopped out of the car and hugged her husband, Maggie and Beth sprinted towards there father as Glenn, T-Dog and Daryl looked on. Carol smiled as everyone reunited and hugged but something was missing...

"Where's Carl?" Lori quickly asked, and Rick's face fell...

"I, I thought he was with you..." He murmured, looking around at everyone, expecting for their son to pop out.

"What? No, I thought he was with you... I...I couldn't find him... he left the house and..and I thought maybe you would have found him!" Lori's voice broke and she backed away from Rick... beginning to panic.

"We have to go back and find my boy!"

Shane, Vixie and her sister aren't here neither." Daryl muttered gruffly, looking away as his chest began to hurt. He pictured Vixie with her sly smile and his heart began to clench tighter. "Man, we gotta go back... who knows where they are..."

"Andrea?" Glenn asked, Carol shook her head...

"She saved me,"

"Then the walkers got her, took her down when we tried to get her in the truck." T-Dog finished.

Daryl hopped on his motorcycle and started his engine, "The hell are y'all standing around looking crazy for? We HAVE to go back!"

Just when Lori and Rick were going to agree with the redneck, the incoming sound of a car was heard. They all turned to the left to see a red Dodge ram truck making its way towards them as it skidded to a stop. Rick narrowed his eyes and pulled out his gun, as the windows were tinted and they couldn't see the person in it. Daryl, T-Dog and Glenn did the same. But just as quickly, Carl popped out from the passenger side of the truck, hollering for his mother and father.

"Mom! Dad!"

"Oh Thank God!" Lori met her son halfway as well as Rick, though he continued to pay attention to the person who was driving the truck, and was relieved when he saw Shane coming out. He kissed his son's forehead and headed towards his best friend. They both clasped hands and hugged.

"Where did you – ?" He started to ask but Shane finished it.

"Don't thank me man, thank Vixie...picked her up when I saw her barely limping along with Carl on the side of the back roads. Oh, and look who I found... Come on out Isis," Shane called out, letting his friend go to help her out.

The group huddled together to see who Shane was babbling about, and they all gasped when Vixie hobbled out of the car, but she looked so...different. Her hair was a bit shorter and straight...not wild and untamed. She had cuts over her face with splatters of blood, she held her arm over Shane's shoulder and huffed, limping towards the group with hostile eyes.

"Shane...what happened to Vixie?" Lori asked, pushing her boy behind her. The man shook his head and smirked.

"Lori, this isn't Vixie, it's her sister... can you believe it? They're identical..."

Isis smirked at Rick and attempted to stand on her own. "Told ya I'd be right behind you." Rick smiled and shook his head, walking towards her and giving her a hug.

"Crazy girl..."

Daryl was happy that Isis was fine but... "Where is she?" He asked her.

Isis nodded her head towards the truck. "She's alright, just really exhausted, as am I." She walked towards the others but her knees buckled under her and she collapsed, still exhausted and weakned from her injuries, she was caught by Shane and he sighed.

"I'm going to put her back in the truck, both sisters need rest right now."

"Mom, Vixie was incredible. She found me at the barn and she saved me...we were too late to catch up to you guys so we had to walk for a while...she protected me along the way...but Shane found us just in time...she was so tired... about time we put her in the truck, she passed out." Carl explained quickly to his mother, letting her know that Vixie watched over him and she greatly appreciated him.

Daryl walked towards the trucked and carefully opened the back door, he quickly caught the unconscious girl before she fell out. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and stroked her cheek, brushing her hair out of her face. "Fucking hell, Vixie..." He murmured under his breath.

Everyone was grateful that they were safe except for Andrea who was killed trying to protect Carol...

"We had better get out of here. This place isn't safe for any of us..." Rick finally said, heading to his car as well as the others.

Carol frowned as she rode with Daryl, looking back at the sign they wrote for her daughter, Sophia. . .

Safety huh?
