"Alice,"

Alice looked up to see Carlisle standing close to where she was sitting. She looked around the room and noticed they were the only two there. "What is it, Carlisle?"

Her father figure frowned lightly, gently, with the same kind of smile. "Can I sit with you?"

She looked at him before looking at the space next to her; she could hardly say no. . .it was his house after all. "Of course."

"There's something I want to talk to you about." He said and without giving her chance to say anything he continued. "Ever since the Volturi came and left. . .you have been acting. . differently, towards me I mean. I would like to know why, please, I do not like how things are between us right now, it upsets me to think that you-,"

"That I what, Carlisle?"

"That you are holding something against me, or that you do not wish to be here with us –with me- anymore, I just don't understand, Alice." He told her. "Are you angry that we let the Volturi go without a fight? Is that it?"

"What!?" Alice snapped and shot to her feet. "You think I wanted you to fight? That was the last thing I wanted! I don't ever want you near them again!"

Carlisle frowned. This time confused. "Alice, I don't understand."

"You. . .y-you think I wanted. . .you to fight?" Alice couldn't control her voice. It was impossible for her to cry, but her voice sounded as if she were. "Y-you fool! Carlisle, you stupid fool!"

"Alice," Carlisle stood up, holding his daughter's arms. "I don't understand."

"You should tell him, my dear."

Carlisle looked past Alice to Jasper, who must have been listening and heard the distress in his mate's voice. "Jasper?"

"Tell him, Alice."

"You died for me!"

"What?"

"If we had of fought the Volturi. . .you would have died to try and save me. They were going to take me away, Jasper couldn't get free and you ran at them without hesitation or thought for youself or any of the others. . .you tried to save me, but Aro got to you first and-and-an-,"

"Alice, look at me," Carlisle said taking hold of her face gently. "did you die?"

"What?"

"Even though I did not survive, did you?"

"Y-yes."

"Then I would do the same thing again should the need to ever arise." He told her truthfully, looking into her wide eyes. "You are my daughter, Alice, just as the others are my sons and Rosalie and now Bella are my other daughters. I love you. And I would die for you, I would die for any and all of you."

If Alice could cry, she would be crying a river. She threw her arms around Carlisle's neck, clinging to him tightly. "I never thanked you, Carlisle. Thank you for dying for me."

Carlisle smiled and hugged her back, just as tightly. "I would always try to protect you, I would always die for you."

Jasper smiled and turned to leave, but stopped when he saw the rest of his family standing further down the hall listening in. He knew they had all been worried about his wife and their father. . .but now they knew, just as he did, their relationship was stronger than ever.

Okay, seriously, how epic was Breaking Dawn part 2? I loved it, am so chuffed with how they did it but totally sad it's over :'( ...I would have loved for Alice to say thank-you to Carlisle for dying for her though :') just think it would have been so sweet.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed my quick written one shot ;') and know I've been away for months...but am hopefully going to be uploading again! :)
