Chapter 8: The Demon Trident and The Death God Pt 1

Shibusen

"I'm being promoted to a two Star Meister?" Black Star said blinking in surprise at Sid as the two had move to a empty class room and sitting on top of a desk.

"That right, keeping the blueprints of the Demon Tool from falling into the wrong hands and bring it back to Shibusen is certainly something that can't be over look." Sid replied sitting down in front of him with one had on top of the other as he spoke to Black Star.

"So me and Tsubaki are now two Star Meisters! Sweet!" Black Star grinned pumping his fist and jumping to his feet.

"I'll go tell Tsubaki that right now!" Black Star said ready to run off and do so.

"Hold on there Black Star!" Sid call out stopping the boy in his tracks.

What now?" Black Star ask wanting to get to Tsubaki as quick as possible.

"It about the mission you went on, under order from Shinigami-sama you and Tsubaki are not to say anything about what happen on your trip to the abandoned asylum..." Sid stated freezing Black Star in place.

"What, why?" Black Star ask as Sid look at him.

"Right now I can not say but Shinigami-sama has made it clear that other then Naruto and Tsugumi not a word of it is to be leak to any other student in Shibusen, It to be kept quit or you will be punishment." Sid told him and for once Black Star was left speechless.

"But why? Why would Shinigami say that and why are Naruto and Tsugumi able to hear when everyone else can't?" Black Star ask as Sid got up as well.

"That is because they will also be give a gag order in regard to their mission as well as being promoted to two Star students." Sid said walking to the class room door but stop as he grab the handle.

"One more thing Black Star, if you do not comply with this order... Tsubaki will be punishment as well for being your partner." hearing this causing Black Star's eyes to widen.

"I know you like to show off a lot but for Tsubaki's sake please just do as your told just this once." Sid said leaving the class room and Black Star alone with his thoughts.

Amusement park

"Lightning King Drill!" OX-kun voice came out almost cold-hearted and robotic as he charges lightning on the tip of Harvar while in his lance form that was a gold-colored spear, with the spearhead shaped in the zigzag pattern of a lightning bolt, before rushing at Maka moving in a motion that is reminiscent of a lightning bolt, (Wait a minute...! He's really aiming to kill me!?) Maka thought with wide eyes before a foot slam on top of the lance stopping OX-kun in his tracks!

"The hell are you doing?" Naruto ask with his hands in his pocket's in a bore tone while keeping his foot on top of the spearhead as OX-kun stare at him with no expression on his face, not far from them a young lady wearing a long-sleeved sailor outfit with the symbol of the star sign 'Scorpio' as a small emblem, located on the visible portion of her vest beneath her sailor collar. This collar has two stripes running across it, one that goes along its entirety and another that terminates partway across the front long-sleeved sailor outfit watch the three student's in amusement.

"OH-HO-OH! This one seems to be combat able even without a weapon. Time to start test two of my rings then." the woman said as her unusual iris flash brightly causing OX-kun to pull his weapon out from under Naruto's foot and start spinning it in the air over his head then slashing it down words at Naruto who merely side the attack, following through with high attack OX-kun spin on his feet and sent several stabbing strikes at Naruto who easily dodge each and everyone.

"The difference in skill is way too clear, the only ones able to fight this well without a weapon are Naruto, Black Star, and Kilik." Maka mumble knowing OX-kun couldn't win, this was proven when Naruto back handed him into the ground head first.

"I don't know what his deal is but that should take care of him until we get him back to Shibusen." Naruto huff only to blink in surprise at seeing him raise back up off the ground with no trouble what so ever.

"What the hell!? That should have knock his ass out!" Naruto gasp as Maka look on from her spot behind him. (Something's not right, maybe it's time to have a closer look.) Maka thought as her eyes flash from activating her Soul Perception and gasp at what she saw.

"Naruto quick! Use you Soul Perception, something is wrong with OX-kun soul!" Maka yell, the young lady watching from a far had her smile disappear and raise an eye brow at this turn of events. Doing what Maka ask Naruto's eye's wide at seeing Ox's soul it his trademark hairstyle of two pointed horns as well as four lightning bolts emblazoned on it, that he saw coming but what he didn't coming was the large Scorpio tattoo wrap around it.

"Why do I get the feeling that doesn't belong there." Naruto grunted as Maka ran up behind him.

"Whatever that Scorpio thing is, it seem to be coming from the ring on his right hand." Maka stated seeing the tail of the Scorpio wrapping around his arm and going onto connect to the ring on his index finger. The frown on the woman's face deepen at hearing this (Soul Perception? The ring leave my icon on the soul that can be seen by someone with Soul Perception?) a scowl grace her face at not having seen that coming but then smirk.

"It doesn't matter, my rings are now able to control Meister's and their weapon as long as their holding them, so it was a good test but I better get rid of this one. He's lost his usefulness." the woman's eye's flash gold suddenly, the next moment Naruto can be seen side stepping attack before spinning around to behind the possessed boy and elbowing him into the ground only to watch him shaky stand back up.

"This is getting us no where, Naruto that ring has to be the cause of this, get rid of it!" Maka call out hearing this Naruto agreed right away and was about to do just that when OX-kun halt his attack on Naruto and Maka causing them to pause.

"What he doing now?" Naruto mutter really worry for the boy now, moving the arm that is still holding the transformed Harvar blade form. OX-kun
seems to be shaking though as he moves the blade up to his neck causing Naruto and Maka's eye's to widen as all kinds of warning bell's went off in their head.

"Wait minute what the hell are you doing!?" Naruto yell now way past calm.

"Stop him! He's trying to attempt suicide!" Maka cried however before either of them could move a shadow appear behind OX-kun wrapping arm cross his neck an using the other to reach down and grab his and taking hold of the blade and the hand with the ring on it.

"Eternal Feather!" Maka gasp seeing her old pig tail friend though her hair was now done in a single pony tail, without saying a word Eternal Feather holding his weapon arm in the air by the hand and yank off the ring on his hand in a very painful manner causing OX-kun to gasp before passing out. (That person is!?) the woman before was complete taken back by the new arrival before licking her lips in glee.

"So one of my old experiment manage to live even after her usefulness had ended? interesting..." she grinning backing back into the shadows and vanishing. As the fighting had stop Harvar transformed back to normal but was pass out as well while Maka ran up to Eternal Feather who was still holding the ring before to their surprise it suddenly burst into flame's causing her to drop it to the ground before it burn her anymore then it already had.

"Are you alright, here let me see." Maka said grabbing her hand without waiting for a replied, looking at the ring Naruto slowly walk over to them as it burn to nothing.

"Tch. And to think this started out as such a good day and what the hell was that ring anyway." Naruto grumble while keeping an eye on OX-kun and Harver in case they wake up as Maka bandage her friend's hand.

"Hey Maka, whose the new girl?" Naruto ask causing the two girl's to turn to him.

"Oh right this an old friend of mine and Tsugumi's, Eternal Feather." Maka replied.

"Ah, name's Naruto, nice to meet you." Naruto grinned but on the inside thought she had a weird name, she just smile and nodded back she was a relatively tall girl appearing to be slightly older than Tsugumi. She was also wearing her long pony tail that hang behind her head, and also had on glasses. Her uniform consists of a wide white collar held by a lace ribbon and a long black robe-like dress going down to her ankles and black low hills.

"Anyway Eternal Feather, how did you know taking off that ring would stop OX-kun." Maka ask changing gearing and quickly getting back to the matter at hand, hearing this Eternal Feather begin moving her hand's in patterns much to Naruto's and Maka confusion.

"Huh what are you doing, is there some reason you can't talk right now?" Maka ask, Eternal Feather sigh and nodded before pulling down the white cuff over her neck and cause the two to gasp at seeing a very nasty scar running along side her neck. The reason why she wasn't talking... was because she couldn't.

Deathbucks Café

"Here your drink..." Succukey said handing a young lady her tea.

"Thank you." Anya replied with a smile taking it as Succukey stood up to go before someone caught her attention.

"Ah, your boy friend is back." Succukey cheer, Anya was just taking a sip of the tea when she heard that, her eyes went wide and the drink came spraying out from her lips as she turn to see Black Star heading their way and blush.

"Y-Y-You got it all wrong! We're just friends, and we just mat." Anya exclaimed but Succukey just smirk.

"If you say so, but when your ready to stop being 'just friends' let me know and I'll give some pointers." Succukey grinned winking at her and dash off leaving a red face Anya behind as Black Star reach the table and raise an eye brow.

"Hey you sick or something? Your face is all red." Black Star said taking a seat across from her but she wouldn't look him in the eye's and just push his drink to him.

"I'm fine but here, I made sure no one touch it." Anya replied hoping he'd just drop his question.

"Thanks." Black said drinking the cool coffee.

"So what did Sid-sensei want to talk about?" Anya ask trying to forget about what Succukey said, Black Star thought about it for a moment and figure it couldn't hurt to tell about his promotion as long as he left out the details of how he got it.

"Well your truly has just made it to being a two Star Meister!" Black Star grinned surprising her, Anya new Black Star was one of the more promising student's but was amaze at the fact he had been promoted to a two Star Meister already.

"That great! I'm very happy for you, before we began the training we should celebrate it." Anya said before she could stop herself and quickly cover her mouth when she realize whet she said.

"Great idea! There a movie I've been wanting to see for a while now." Black Star spoke before she even had a chance to take it back, Anya blink a few times processing what she just said and what he just said.

"Ehhhhh!? Just the two of us!?" Anya gasp as Black Star hop out of his seat with a grin.

"Yeah, and since I'm the man who will surpass god one day, It'll all be on me!" Black star smirk even as he walked over to the other side of the table, somehow noticing how red her face had gotten.

"Eh but that make it seem like a date!" Anya immediately replied, even as he was helping her out of her chair. "It fine, if people ask we'll just say it was your idea."

"NOOOOO, DON'T SAY THAT!"

On the road less then a mile from Death city Naruto with Maka in the front seat was making his way back home, Maka who had been quite for a while heard a groan and look to see Eternal Feather's glancing down at the awaking Harvar nervously causing Naruto to hit break as Harvar open his eye's to see he had been tie up.

"What- What going on?" Harvar ask looking from Eternal Feather's then spotted Ox-kun to the left of him knock out as well and gasp.

"Hey! What did you do to my partner!" Harver yell as Maka quickly spoke up.

"Harver please calm down, I know you have a lot of questions but-"

"No buts!" Harver yell surprising them.

"Tell me what going on right now or so help me I'll-" -Snikt!- "Huh!?" Harvar's eye's widen at seeing a large blade appear out of no where across his chest.

"What the hell!?" Harvar gasp looking down at the blade.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Everyone let's just calm down for a moment and talk this though!" Maka exclaimed try to stop a fight from starting.

"Harver look, the reason your all tie up is because after what happen back their at the fair we thought it was safer for us that way." Maka stated, Harver on the other hand gave Maka a odd look, not that she could tell with his visor on though.

"What are you talking about, what fair?" Harver causing a look of surprise and unease to wash over everyone.

"Harver... what the last thing you remember?" Maka ask getting a raise eye brow from him.

"The last thing I remember? Well me and Ox-kun were at the fair and I lost track of him for a moment than when I found him he ask me to turn into my weapon form to see something and when I did...?" Harver stop talking as he try to recall but was calling up with a blank.

"I-I can't remember, After I change and Ox-kun take a hold of me... everything is a huge blank!" Harver said actually losing his generally composed expression in a little panic at not knowing what was going on.

"Please calm down, We'll be reaching Shibusen soon and I'm sure Shinigami will know what to do so just bare with things for now." Maka told, Harver tried to do this but for some who so proud of his studious and logical thinking this was a new situation he found his self in and didn't much like it!

Back at Shibusen Tayuya was brought into the library by Sid with a frown as he than show her a mess of books every where.

"Okay, so what am I doing here, dead fucker?" Tayuya ask placing her hands behind her head, Sid turn and glare at her.

"That mouth is why your here, I've been getting complaints from a lot of people about your potty mouth so maybe a little punishment will help you clean it up!" Sid growl getting an annoyed look from her.

"So what, some pussy who too much of a bitch to come to my face went whining to you?" Tayuya snarled, Sid nearly slap forehead face at her continue use of profanity and give the girl a hard look.

"Tayuya that kind of language is what getting you in trouble so some punishment is in order, I'll come back when you done and hopefully singing a new tone." Sid told her walking off as Tayuya look like she wanted to kill him. Truth be told he had been planing on making Black Star do this but after what happen in the abandoned asylum he and Tsubaki went to, Sid was willing to gave him a break, this once.

"Dead ass son of bitch could have stay behind and help ya know." she grunted looking at the mess around and decide on what to next. At the front of the library ten minutes later Death the kid walk in with his hands in his pockets and began making his way to the back in the artwork section only to find Tayuya sitting in a chair with her feet prop up on a reading desk on top of a pile of books and leaning back in the chair with a book covering her face completing the image of a slacking student and snoring away.

"Hey there no sleeping in the library!" Kid yell waking her and causing her to fall over and land on her head first.

"What! What happen- I'll!? Oh you that Shinigami punk, What do ya want OC bitch?" Tayuya yawing getting up a little tick off at being awake, Kid blink at the red head a few time wondering why she call him that but shake his head letting it pass.

"I was looking for books of artwork, those you had your feet on seem about right." Kid said walking to them and picking one up Tayuya look over his shoulder at the book and furrow at eye brows at what it said.

"Excalibur? what that?" She ask as Kid look at her.

"It seem like it's a sword that's called the legendary holy sword." Kid said opening the book as Tayuya scowl at hearing another weapon being call legendary.

"And what so great about it!?" Tayuya bark.

"You have to take it from the ground.. and the one who pulls it out is called 'hero' and will be forever be admired." Kid spoke, his eyes starting to shine.

"In the past those who were kings have succeeded is what I've heard. Like King Arthur." Kid now had stars in his eye and was shining brightly at what he read but Tayayu on the other hand just snorted at hearing what she thought of as nonsense.

"Oh please, The greatest weapon of all time is right here! I'm way better than some shitty sword call Excalibur!' Tayuya exclaimed as someone walk up behind them.

"Ah... Excalibur, huh?" turning around Kid and Tayuya saw the mad Stein walking up to them.

"What's up Professor Nut job, Sid send you to check up on me?" Tayayu ask and Stein actually seem amuse by her nickname for him.

"No not really." He answer.

"Do you know something about the holy sword? Kid ask.

"Seiken Excalibur... it was impossible even for me..." Stein told them shocking the two.

"What you went after this piece of shit blade!?" Tayuya gasp, (So even the Professor couldn't pull it out?) Kid thought amaze.

"Seiken Excalibur..." Kid said in wonder and even Tayuya gain a interested look now.

"Ah so their here at last." Shinigami said with Sid standing next to them him watching Naruto's jeep pull up, Naruto and Make were the first to get out of the car follow by Eternal Feather's who was carry Ox-kun by the shoulder then lastly Harver who immediately felt like Shinigami was glaring at him from at the school door, walking to them the four kid stop a foot away Shinigami and Sid.

"Shinigami-sama, Sid-sense." Maka said as she and Eternal Feather's gave a slight bowing while Naruto just wave, then Sid spoke.

"Maka, Eternal Feather's, Naruto... good job on handling the situation." Sid told them with his arms cross.

"Thank you, about the police?" Maka ask wanting to know if there would be any problem.

"They weren't happy with handing over a killer but Shinigami-sama pull some string and we'll be aloud to handle the investigation." Sid answer not messing the flinch Harver made when he heard the words Killer.

"Harvar D. Éclair, I hope you have a good explanation as to what happen!" As Shinigami spoke that last part was said in a rather darker tone making it clear he was unhappy, Harver gulp at not knowing what to do! He could remember anything and knew that would only make things worse for him and Ox-kun, they had told what happen but none of it made any sense! How could he and his partner kill a man, attack people he went to school with and then remember nothing at all! Suddenly Eternal Feather's, raise her hand bring their attention as she show off the scar on her index finger then pull up Ox-kun right hand to show the same burn mark of his hand.

"That is!?" Sid gasp in dismay and though they could see his face they could feel that Shinigami was unhappy about this from the his body tense.

"Eternal Feather's-chan, are you sure?" Shinigami ask and she nodded, Naruto, Maka, and Harver look at one another wondering what going.

"Shinigami, what is are you talking about, what was that ring on Ox-kun's hand?" Maka finally ask, Shinigami and Sid look down at her and Naruto for a moment.

"Later, for now just leave the rest to us, buy once again, good job on how you handle the situation." Sid said pulling Harver along as Shinigami told Eternal Feather's to come as well leave Naruto and Maka more then a little worry.

Shibusen Library

"Ummm, OC bitch? Can I ask you something?" Kid left eye twitch at the name Tayuya kept calling him, he and her stood outside a tall cliff alongside the waterfall.

"What?"

"Well... why is the oh so great Excalibur cave only TEN FREAKING MILE! Away from Death city!?" Tayuya ask, Kid was about to say something but stop as the Question suddenly made it way into his mind and he too had to admit it was odd.

"Don't really know, but it seem we have to make our way to the top... by the way why Did you come too?" Tayuya look at the boy than shrug her shoulder's.

"Bored, plus I want to see if this weapons all it crack up to be." Tayuya mutter, Kid guess this was just the way she was, Kid then summon a skateboard with red wheels and a green deck with a picture of two skulls connected symmetrically at the jaw spawn from his hand. Dropping it on it's wheels Kid hop on as the wheels rotate 90°, so that they point downwards and shot jets into the air and flying Kid to the top of the cliff annoying Tayuya.

"Hey OC bitch! We're suppose to be working together ya dumbass!" Tayuya yell jumping a good ten feet into the air then planting her feet onto the side of the cliff sweat dropping as she stay there, looking down at the glowing blue energy her feet was giving off.

"I really wish I knew how I did this." Tayuya mumble then race off up the cliff as if she was running on flat ground. Reaching the top, Tayuya saw the entrance to the cave, marked by a tall waterfall spouting fresh, clean water.

"Now where's that little punk go." Tayuya said to herself, looking left and right.

"Tayuya..." Kid call causing Tayuya to look to her left an up.

"AH! There you are and... What are you doing up on that thing?" Tayuya ask sweat dropping at seeing Kid hanging from a rock formation that was shape almost like a tree... that that was possible was lost to her

"There's mud down there, I can't get down... my shoes will get dirty..." Kid said in fear causing her to sweat drop even more, (This is a Shinigami?) She thought.

"And what do you want me to do about it?" Tayuya ask.

"Carry me."

"HELL NO!"

Later

"I don't believe this." Tayuya mutter walking down that tunnel, the ground being muddy from the water (In the anime, the ground is flooded up to the knees with water) and water also dripping from the stalactites from above. The cave walls, in contrast to the outside, is a dark blue.

"This is truly what you call teamwork, you dealing with the muddy ground, while I protect us from the water dripping from the top!" Kid said being carry on Tayuya's left shoulder as the arm of shoulder kept him in place. "It would be impossible for only one person to do this alone."

"Your gonna want to stop talking now." Tayuya told him not in the mood as the only reason she was bothering to bring him long was the off chance she needed a Meister to meet Excalibur.

"Still I must say, to be carrying me so easily your strength is rather impressive." Kid comment causing Tayuya to blush a little (Did he just compliment me?) she thought until he added.

"Too bad this strength added with your foul mouth make's it seem like you should have been born a boy." Tayuya stop in her tracks when he said, than faster than Kid could react she slam her fist into just below the belt causing Kid eye's to pop out, in surprise.

"...Daddy!" Kid's squeaky voice cried in little more then a whisper as he held the place she just hit him in.

"Say something like that again and I'll hit you next time." Tayuya mutter and continue walking, (The words Next time should only be use if you didn't hit me this time... and why the balls!?) Kid thought trying to stop the tears as she kept moving until they reach the end of the cave. A great chamber awaited them with a hole in the domed ceiling, letting in the sunlight and amongst the sunlight a blade stuck in the ground on a stone platform was seen.

"That has to be it, what a flashy place for this damn sword to be in." Tayuya said setting Kid down on the dry ground.

"Yes, it seem we can't go any further than this." Kid said having recover from the little mishap, both he and Tayuya look to the center and gasp. A radiant golden broadsword, comprising of an unblemished double-edged blade and a precisely ornamented cruciform-shaped hilt, engraved with various regal inscriptions along both its guard and pommel. The very presence of this blade seem to be making the air in the immediate vicinity vibrate.

"Wow!" Tayuya whispered as they slowly move to the weapon, stopping right in front of it. "Hey.. isn't that the sword?"

"Hmm...can't be wrong. It's the Seiken Excalibur!" Kid said looking at the book he seem to pull out of nowhere.

"Wo... wow... the air is vibrating the closer we get to it." Tayuya stated as a drop of sweat ran down her forehead, (So this is a legendary weapon power is this much without even holding it.) Tayuya thought as Kid started shaking a little.

"It seem what this book says is true, that the one who acquires the seiken will be called a hero and gain glory for eternity." Kid was becoming more and more excited.

"And look... the precise ornamentation on the body of the sword that doesn't even have one scratch... beautiful! it deserves to be called Seiken!" Kid's eyes were shining brightly now, taking a singly step 'POP!?' and the sound of metal being pull out of sand ring in his ear! Kid's face went white when he saw Tayuya holding Excalibur!

"The fuck! I thought only hero's could pull this thing out." Tayuya mutter swinging the sword around as Kid began pulling out his hair.

"That impossible...! There has to be something wrong! Your fit to be complimented by being called hero!" Kid yell in shock, Tayuya for her part just turn to him with a bore look while shouldering the blade.

"NO SHIT! Even I know that so why was I able to pull it out?" Tayuya mumble.

"I don't know, but can't we do it over? Let me do it this time." Kid cried, Tayuya sigh "Fine." and place the sword back in the ground and back away from it, Kid walk up and shakily raise hand to it but then pause as a thought hit. Tayuya raise an eye brow as he kneel down.

"What are you..." Tayuya started.

"Hold on, I don't know who's touched it until now." he stated bring out a rag and giving it a wipe down.

"Just hurry up and do it dick head!" Tayuya shouted wanting to hit him again, Kid stood and place his hands around the blade and pull, watching it come out of the ground easily.

"I pull it out too." Kid said confusing Tayuya even more but before she could say anything, "You've come far, young one!"a loud voice spoke out surprising the two as the sword flow from Kid's hands.

"Sorry for the late introduction... I am the one called Excalibur." a bright light over came the sword covering it and nearly blinding them, than die down in less than a second. Showing a anthropomorphic creature, it facial features comprise of bulbous eyes and an upturned snout while the remainder of its small white body displays slender limbs and feet strangely akin to those of a rabbit. a white top hat that nearly equals him in height stood on it head and a similarly colored shirt with a frilled ruff, worn under a white jacket... and he was holding cane. Kid and Tayuya were speechless... but not in a good way.

Shibusen Library

"Maka why did you drag me here with you?" Naruto ask sitting at a table with and watching Maka look though a list f books she had Naruto sneak for her out of the three Star section.

"Sorry but I need you around to get books out of the section I don't have access to, mister two Star Meister." Maka said that last part bitingly and Naruto groan, they had just found out he and Tsugumi had been promoted. Maka was more then a little miffed by them being promoted before her.

"Whatever, anyway tell me what your looking for?" Naruto ask.

"I had before gotten but a year ago something like this happen before... Anya and Eternal Feather!"

I like to start off by saying sorry for taking so long on my updating by my job have left me VERY LITTLE time to my self lately. I'll be trying to get out as many chapters on this story and the other ones now that things have slow down a little. Trust me haven't give up on any of my fics, it just I haven't been given much time to myself.
