He was in his third year when he got his first girlfriend. Of course, he would never admit to Moony, Wormtail, and Prongs that she was his very, very first girlfriend. He was Sirius Black. Obviously he had girlfriends before – and many of them.

He had announced it in front of the entire Great Hall and she had blushed a bright, bright, bright red and promptly broke up with him. Ten minutes later she agreed to date him once more.

Her name was Aisha Barack and she was a Hufflepuff in his year. To be honest, he didn't really know her very well at all. In fact, he had never spoken to her. She was – according to those who knew her well – apparently very talkative and hyper around those she knew well and – as he knew – rather aloof to those she didn't. But when she had asked him out (protesting embarrassment as it was apparently a dare, and blushing so much that it showed despite her caramel-toned skin) he couldn't say no. He hadn't really noticed her before but now that he did look at her, he found her very striking. She wasn't exactly typically pretty, but she had the most gorgeous black hair and flawless caramel skin and although her nose was crooked like it had been broken and her eyes were rather small, he found that they were striking and simply added to her personality.

Without knowing it, Sirius Black found himself falling for a girl he barely knew – a girl who didn't hesitate to break up with him when he was too cocky for her tastes.

She liked to constantly remind him that she didn't really like him, that she just asked him out on a dare, but the first time he silenced her with a kiss and she kissed him back, he knew he had found his trump card. Admittedly, he discovered that solving relationship problems with kisses wasn't the best way to go, but it was fun while it lasted.

Years after they had dated and broken up (they were only together a week), Sirius still remembered how he always insisted on holding her hand while they walked through the halls. That's all it was for him – a display. He liked the fact that he could show off his girlfriend to all of his friends. He liked the fact that even after they broke up, he was the only boyfriend (albeit brief) she would consent to having her entire Hogwarts career.

When she broke up with him, exactly a week later (to the second), he was honestly shocked. Why would anyone break up with him? The reply he got from her was no less shocking.

"When I held your hand, it just didn't feel right, you know?" she had said. After that, she had simply given him a kiss on the cheek and walk off.

It's strange how they still remained friends after the fact. Very rarely did that ever work out between ex's (Sirius thought it worked because they were so young when they dated) but he was her friend for the rest of their time at Hogwarts and after. He was even present at her wedding to Joseph Wood ten years after their supposedly tragic breakup.

And, ah, don't mind the name. I'm all election-ed out. And I drank Ouzo in honor of the (re)new(ed) President, so I can't really comment on my steadiness or sanity right now. I'll probably look at this tomorrow and be all "What the hell did I write?" … … … Yeah…
