Disclaimer: I only own the plot.

A/N: So, I wanted to write some Mizley goodness, but I just couldn't think of anything so I looked at a few one word prompts and this one jumped out at me...At three in the morning...Where the only thing that I could write on was my IPad. I'm sorry.

Review!

Alex liked nights like these the best. The nights were there are no clouds in sight and even the farthest star is visible. The kind of night where the moonbeams gave everything a sort of angelic glow.

A faint smile touched Alex's lips as he watched Mike on the balcony but it was soon pulled away. Mike was a sobbing mess, hunched over the railing, looking deflated as ever. He'd never seen the guy like this before. Alex reached out his arms to hug his friend, to hold him close, but it was a futile effort. His arms just slipped through anyways. Like Mike was made out of fog, except he wasn't. Alex was the foggy one here.

"I miss you so much, Alex." Mike sniffled.

I miss you too, Alex replied softly. His voice only a whisper because it didn't matter how loud he was, Mike couldn't hear him.

"It's almost pathetic how much I miss you." He lets out a sad excuse for a laugh. Mike wipes a tear. "I wish I could just see you one last time.

You can. I'm right here.

"It's not fair. It should have been me." He draws in a shaky breath. "I should have been in that goddamn car wreck. Not you."

Don't say that, Alex cries. Listen to me! Don't you ever say that.

"And all for some beer." Mike shakes his head, "How could I be so stupid, so selfish?"

It wasn't selfish. We were going to celebrate, remember? Please remember.

"And I never got to tell you...I never got to say..." He can't continue the sentence he's crying too much.

What? Say what?

He sighs, "It doesn't matter, not anymore." Mike turns and Alex finally sees his face, stained with tears. Alex stands there, invisible to the man before him. No amount of yelling or crying will ever make Mike see him because Alex is gone.

But then, Something changes in Mike's eyes. Just for a brief moment but Alex catches it. He thinks that maybe, just maybe, Mike did see him. Even if only for a second. But he knows he's wrong when Mike easily walks through Alex's foggy form.

"Who knows, maybe I'll be able to say it to your face soon enough," he laughs pathetically after he realizes what he's said. "No pun intended."

This is when Alex senses something's really wrong. His stomach twists when he notices the empty pill bottle and glass of whiskey in his friend's hand. He screams, knowing no one will ever hear. He watches helplessly as Mike crawled into bed. "Maybe I'll see you soon, my love."

Mike closes his eyes.

A/N2: Yeah, I went there. I told you it was supernatural and angst.
