a/n;; confusing omake, but basically, it's a completely inaccurate outlook on Big Brother France trying to keep the FACE family- Francis trying to end the war before relations between America and England/Canada were torn forever.

enjoy and r&r, please :D

Omake

Civil wars often took a heavy toll on the main personification of the nation. Your heart felt like it was tearing at two, and in some cases, most nations fell into deep comas where they would awake after the bloodshed or revolution had ended. Many of the older nations had gone through years of turmoil between their own people, and could understand all the pain it caused.

But this was a war between family and loved ones.

France inhaled the salty water air as his men began to set sail across the pond to assist the American rebellion.

It is only right, he thought to himself.

Many, many years ago, it was Angleterre and himself that had sailed in their rivalling boats toward the New World to discover all that was to be found. He had been there when the baby nation, soon to be named the Thirteen Colonies, had picked the English empire over him. Those baby blues held trust and idolizing hope, and it was the beginning of a beautiful bond. The two short-haired blondes became family.

France might have been bitter, but he soon got a protégé of his own, petit nouveau France, a mirror image of the Thirteen Colonies. In some twisted way, France, The Thirteen Colonies, New France, and England made a weird family, assuming the North American duo were brothers. And yet, Francis had been shattered when the Empire had seized New France, and named him British North America, but at the time, the Empire could support the colony better than France could.

They were still family- France agreed to hand over New France. BNA would always call France Papa.

But now, England had gone too far. He had literally pushed his charge to the point of war.

I am Big Brother France.

France would not let his family be torn by war.

When the American had sent word pleading for Francis's help, of course the nation could not just hand over so much money and soldiers, but Francis had a long persuasive talk with his King, and here he was, sailing off to assist his (unofficial) younger brother.

If England were to win without France's help, odds were favourable to Thirteen Colonies forever hating his older brother. Maybe not physically, but mentally, the family would be shattered. Even if Alfred did choose England over France, France knew that the two loved each other. If Alfred were to win, England would be heartbroken but it would make Alfred happy. Francis could foresee an amicable future maybe a century or two away.

Poor New France had to fight his brother at England's request.

There went another brother relation torn at the battlefield.

France noticed the boat was sailing quite rocky through the water. He gripped the sides to steady himself.

England would be absolutely furious, but France knew he was an intelligent caretaker. He raised New France well- albeit the boy was so shy!- and he would make sure that this war end quick so the relation between the two English-speaking nations were not at the verge of collapse. He needed his family as a whole. Maybe not now, but eventually England would see that his colonies in North America held trust and care in Big Brother France as well.

It was going to be France and America versus England and Canada.

If all went according to plan, it would be nothing more than an equal and small family tiff.
