….

Lin Chung awoke with a jolt. Quickly looking around, he discovered that he had fallen asleep in the hall way, right outside Mystique Sonia's room. The memories of the day's events rushed back to him, and with a sigh, he stood up. Staring at the door, he let his mind wonder.

He had known for a while that he cared about Sonia, but never knew to what extent those feeling went…well at least not until now. He wasn't exactly proud of the way he had let his rage control him when battling the Commander of Darkness. But then again, he wasn't exactly sorry either. That man had kidnapped Sonia, he had hurt her! Just the mere thought of that filled him with anger and anxiety. He needed to see her. But she was probably sleeping now.

"Hmm, checking in on a fellow warrior…Alpha girl couldn't be angered by that," Lin Chung reasoned with himself. And so, the silver haired warrior opened the door slowly, being sure out to make a sound that might wake the beautiful girl within.

Lin Chung noticed curiously that the candle was still burning, but was secretly thankful for the light it casted. Looking down at Sonia, he felt his breath leave him at the sight. With her porcelain skin and ebony hair, she was easily more magnificent than any of his drawings. He found himself kneeling down by her bed, entranced. This trance however was broken as Mystique Sonia's eye opened.

"Lin Chung?" she muttered groggily. Panicking on the inside, all Lin Chung could do was simply offer a small smile and nod. His grin, however, turned into a concerned frown as tears welled up in her eyes.

"Mystique Sonia, what's wrong," he asked, chastising himself silently afterwards. 'After all that's happened to her, you ask "what's wrong"!?' but Sonia only turned away. Before he understood what he was doing, Lin Chung reached over, cupping her face in his hand and gently turning it to face him.

"Sonia, please talk to me," he pleaded.

"He was so gross, and…I was so scared," she sniffled as Lin Chung nodded gently. He was expecting the angered look to cross her face.

"I knew we shouldn't have let him stay! He shouldn't have been allowed in Big Green!" She ranted before her face broke into a pained look of despair. Lin Chung watched in shock as these different emotions swept through her so quickly, but it's what she said next the broke him.

"I just didn't know that I wasn't strong enough to fight him! I let him kidnap me again! I wasn't strong enough," Sonia's sobs were cut short in surprise as Lin Chung suddenly climbed on to the bed, wrapping his arms around her protectively and pulling her to his chest.

"Not strong enough?" he asked incredulously. She was silent. "Not strong enough? Mystique Sonia, you are the strongest woman that I have ever met," he whispered. She shook her head softly.

"That's not true. There's Alpha Girl and Lady Green and…I'm just a pretty face," she sighed. Usually Sonia was more than happy to be a pretty face, she was incredibly proud of her looks after all. But she was also fine with being a pretty face, because she had never question her strength before. Now that she felt like she wasn't strong enough, the thought of being seen only for her looks let a bitter taste in her mouth.

"You are very beautiful yes," Sonia lifted her head, shocked and saddened by his agreement. But Lin Chung wasn't done yet. "But that's not what makes you so magnificent. You have such a big heart Sonia. And you ARE strong. We have fought side by side in First Squad for so long, and each time you battle, you do so bravely and proudly. That's why… that's why… I love you," he finally admitted it. And poof! The effects of Yaksha began.

"You…love me," she whispered to herself, not being able to believe it. The she notices the change. "Oh no my spell! Ah, okay just don't say it again and it will just wear off," she said hurriedly.

"Ah yes! I forgot," he chuckled. "But I did mean it. That's why I was so worried when you were taken, and why I was so angry when I saw you in those dreadful chains," at this, Lin Chung gently took her hands in his, kissing softly at the marks left there. Poof! He grinned at being back to normal.

"Lin Chung I…I love you too!" she said quickly.

"What?" he was surprised.

"What? Did I surprise you?" she grins at him. Lin Chung chuckles and leans his fore head on hers.

"Maybe a little," he grinned back, slowly moving to place a soft but loving kiss upon her lips. They stayed that way only for a few seconds, but it still felt perfect. Lin Chung would have like to continue, but looking back at Sonia, he saw how tired she was. He pushed her down gently to lie back.

"Rest now," he murmured but she gripped his arm.

"Can you stay? Please," she asks, and Lin Chung gladly settles next to her, playing with strands of her hair until she closes those adoring eyes and drifts off to sleep.

(Meanwhile in a jail cell)

"HELLO…HELLO? I UM, WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGIES!" the Commander of Darkness called out hopefully. The night guard, who happened to be a deer on this night, came up to the bars… and swiftly blew out the candle on top of the Commander of Darkness's hat.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

The end! Hope that was enough fluff for ya! Again, reviews are greatly welcomed!
