PLEASE READ: So, this is the final chapter of 'Fall Into Me' and I really hope you all like it. I don't really have another story planned out, but if anyone has an idea of a story that they'd like to read feel free to message me about it. I have a few outlines, but nothing is really jumping out at me and I'm always open to stepping stones to get an idea going. Of course if it's something I think I can portray well I give full credit where credit is due. So, like I said if you have an idea for a story that you'd like to read message me. :) Anyway, thank you all for your patience with me on this story. These last few chapters just weren't coming together easily for me for some reason, but I'm happy with this final chapter and I hope you all like it as well.
Also, thank you for all your reviews and as I always say, please let me know what you think!

Epilogue
Ten Years Later
"Look, Evan, if you don't get those parts we ordered here by tomorrow morning, I'm going to have to take the next steps that I don't want to take. We've already paid you for them and we expected them almost a week ago now," I said in what Jacob had taken to calling my 'bitch voice.' Jacob and I had worked with Evan Mitchell since we opened up our shop five years ago, ordering the parts and supplies we needed from his business just outside of Seattle. He had offered us the best competitive prices and for four years he'd been great. However, over the last year we've hit a few bumps in the road with him and it was finally coming to a head.
"Aurora, I just need some more time," Evan said, his voice sounding almost desperate. Part of me wanted to cave, give him the time he said he needed, but the parts we had ordered were two weeks overdue and I couldn't give him anymore time. I already had a new supplier lined up and ready to get us the parts in the morning if Evan wouldn't be able to deliver, and it looked like that that was the route I was going to have to take.
"This is the fourth time you've screwed us over in the last year, Evan," I said, my tone going softer. "I've kept working with you because I know you need the business, but I can't do this with you anymore. I'm cancelling the order and I want you to send me back the money we gave you for the parts."
"Aurora, I can get you the parts," he said and I sighed.
"I'm sorry, Evan, but we're going to have to go with a different vendor. If you don't send me the money back within a week, expect to hear from our attorney," I said.
"Aurora," Evan started, but I didn't let him finish.
"Good bye, Evan," I said before I hung up the phone on my desk and sighed heavily as I sat back in my chair, took off my reading glasses I was now forced to wear sometimes thanks to hours spent reading and staring at the computer, and rubbed at my eyes. I was tired and mildly stressed thanks to the endless phone calls that I had been making that morning, but I knew that later tonight after a relaxing dinner and a few mindless hours of watching TV with Jacob that the world would tilt right again.
"I'm guessing it's a good thing that I decided to stop by and see if you wanted to go out for lunch. You look like you desperately need a break," a friendly and more than welcome voice said from the doorway of my office. I lowered my hands from my eyes and smiled at Melody who was standing there dressed in a pair of jean shorts and a loose pink blouse that was perfectly fitting given the unusually warm late June we had been experiencing. Her hair was longer these days and it was presently up and twisted into a loose bun on the back of head, which had been her almost everyday hairstyle since her kids came along.
Paul and Melody had gotten married the summer before Melody's senior year of college in a small summer ceremony on the beach in La Push. It had been a simple wedding, small and intimate with only Melody's parents, Paul's parents, the packs, and Gina of course. Melody had no more graduated and was settling in to her nursing job at Forks Hospital when she found out she was pregnant. Seven months after that Andrew and Andrea Lahote came into the world and not even two years later little Hannah joined the family. Andrew and Andrea were due to start kindergarten in the fall, and it was hard to believe that they were already five years old. Hell, it was hard to believe that ten years had passed since we had graduated high school. I wasn't sure where all the time was going and it definitely didn't seem to be slowing down any.
After I had finished my two years' worth of courses at the community college, Jacob had been working for a year and a half at the auto shop in Forks gaining the professional experience he would need in the long run. However, after I had finished school Jacob had hung up his tools for four months and the two of us had spent those four months traveling. Our first strop had been to visit Carol, Margaret and my siblings in London for two weeks before we hit the ground running. While in the UK we went to Scotland and Ireland before we moved on to France, Spain, Italy, and Greece. After touring a small bit of Europe we went to Sydney, Australia before venturing to New Zealand. We had even visited Jacob's sister Rebecca and her husband in Hawaii, which had been nice. However, my favorite part of our travels was thanks to Carlisle and Esme.
Carlisle and Esme had given Jacob and me the privilege of spending the last two weeks of our traveling time together on the very same island off the coast of Brazil that Edward and Bella had spent their honeymoon. At first, it had been a little awkward (at least for Jacob) but the two of us had quickly taken to the fact that we were completely and utterly alone aside from the two planned appearances by the couple that maintained the house and things for Carlisle and Esme. It had been the perfect place to unwind, relax, and just enjoy each other with no distractions or places to go and things to see. It had just been the two of us in easily one of the top five most beautiful places I had ever been, and we hadn't wasted one second of our time there. Now, we were a happily married couple with responsibilities that included managing our business, maintaining our home, and other things that came with becoming a full-fledged adult. However, we still took regular vacations and enjoyed ourselves just not for extremely long periods of time.
"Don't you usually like to spend your days off spoiling and loving all over your kids?" I asked jokingly with a tilt of my head and Melody laughed lightly as she walked further into my office and sat down in the lone chair that I kept on the other side of my neat desk.
"Usually, but Paul's mom has that covered today proclaiming that she needed some grandma time, and I could use some time with my best friend today," she said and I laughed lightly.
"Well, in that case fancy lunch at the diner down along the pier?" I asked. "I'll buy," I threw in with a grin, which earned me a laugh from Melody as the two of us stood from our seats.
"Of course you will, and I know you only want to go there so you can gorge yourself on their onion rings and curly fries," she said pointedly.
"Hey, I can't help it that the little human being growing inside of me makes me crave them," I said as I pointed to the small protrusion that was now my lower stomach. I was only five and a half months along, so, I wasn't exactly huge but there was still plenty of time for it to happen. "Besides, I eat healthy ninety-five percent of the time. I'm allowed a little indulgence here and there, and my indulgences happen to be onion rings and curly fries. At least it's not prunes and cream cheese. I'm still trying to figure out how that is even a remotely good combination that little Hannah made you crave." Melody laughed again as she shook her head and shrugged her shoulders.
"It tasted amazing at the time," she said and I smiled at her as I grabbed my purse before the two of us made our way out of my office. "Since you're paying, I'll drive," she said and I smiled at her before I nodded and gestured towards the door that led to the garage.
"I'm just going to pop into the garage and tell Jacob that I'm going to lunch with you," I said and she nodded before she walked around the reception desk and out the front door.
I usually worked the front desk during the day, but since it was a slow day I had taken the opportunity to make several calls that morning, which was why I had been in my office. I opened the door that led into the rather expansive garage and smiled at Roy, one of the two mechanics that worked for us, and the slightly older man chuckled as he nodded his head and continued to wash the grease from his hands at the sink. I weaved my way to the older Chevy that Jacob was working on that day. He had the car raised and was working on something when he looked my way and smiled as he lowered his arms from above his head.
My traitorous heart skipped a few beats in my chest at the smile that was on his lips as he stepped out from underneath the car. Jacob hadn't changed much over the last ten years. Granted he looked older but he was still just as muscular and broad as he had been when we first met. He was relatively clean, which led me to believe that he likely had just started working after inspecting what the problem could be, and the coveralls he wore fit him far too perfectly in my opinion. Thanks to my roller coaster like hormone levels if Melody wasn't waiting outside for me I would have pulled Jacob into my office for a few minutes alone with the door closed and locked.
"Mel stopped by and we're going to head down to the diner for lunch," I said as he came to a stop in front of me. He nodded before his right hand reaching out to rub across my stomach gently as he leaned down slightly and caught my lips in a chaste kiss. Of course I kissed him back, but he pulled away after only a few seconds and I sighed in mild disappointment, which had him smiling again. "It still isn't fair when you do that to me, you know. Especially now," I whispered, which earned me a chuckle from my husband of four years as his thumb rubbed along my stomach.
"Sorry," he whispered back, grin in place, and I smirked as I raised an eyebrow in doubt. "I am," he argued quietly before he kissed my forehead. "Have fun with Mel."
"I will," I said as he lowered his hand. We shared a parting kiss before I left the garage through the open garage doors and made my way to Melody's small SUV. The warm breeze that was blowing was welcome and it fluttered the skirt of the sundress I was wearing. I smiled at Melody as I climbed into her SUV and the two of us were on our way.
"Jacob, I've been thinking," I said as I walked out of the bathroom that was attached to the master bedroom of the two story, three bedroom house that we had built on a piece of land we had purchased not far from our secret spot along the shore.
"That can't be good," Jacob teased as he took the shams off our rather large bed and began to turn down the blankets.
"Ha, ha," I said dryly as I moved over to the bed and helped him before he quickly pulled his white t-shirt off and climbed into bed dressed only in a pair of checkered boxers. "It's kind of a big thing, Jacob; at least I think it is." That made him pause in getting himself situated in our bed and he furrowed his brow slightly as he looked at me.
"What is it?" he asked after his dark eyes scanned my face and he sat up fully. I sighed before I shook my head and ran my fingers through my shoulder length hair.
"Nothing bad, I promise," I said before I untied my robe, tossed it onto the foot of the bed and climbed up in next to him. I sat next to him and he was quick to lace the fingers of his right hand with my left. "I've just been thinking about the baby and possible names for him or her. I know what I want to name our baby if we have a girl." Jacob and I could have found out if we were having a boy or a girl last week at my ultrasound appointment, but the two of us had decided we wanted to wait. Well, I decided that we should wait and after a small battle of wills with me Jacob caved and agreed to wait. We'd given Dr. Greyson a good chuckle during our little squabble, and jokingly the man had told Jacob it was probably wise to give into his hormonally charged pregnant wife.
"Already?" Jacob asked, sounding truly surprised. "We still have over three months before the baby is even due." I shrugged my shoulders and Jacob chuckled before he kissed my left temple. "Okay, what do you want to name our daughter?" he asked.
"Sarah Elizabeth," I said, my blue eyes holding his brown, "for your mom and mine." His expression changed to a tender one as he looked at me and he gave me a small crooked smile before he leaned in and placed a chaste kiss on my lips.
"I love it," he whispered against my lips before he kissed me again. I smiled into the kiss, relieved that he liked the idea before I let go of his hand and moved so I was straddling his lap with my arms around his shoulders. He chuckled, which resulted in our kiss breaking as his hands found my hips and he looked at me. "What if our first baby's a boy?" he asked.
"I was thinking maybe Edward," I said jokingly and Jacob scowled at me before he growled quietly and tickled up my sides, which made me laugh before I pressed my body as close to his as I could manage with my slightly larger stomach.
"Not funny," he ground out as he held me close and I giggled before I kissed his chin.
"I thought it was," I whispered, and got an eye roll out of my husband.
The Cullens, and Seth, had moved to Alaska shortly after Seth had graduated from high school. Jacob had let Seth go with the promise to keep in touch, and Seth never failed to call and check in not only with us but with Sue and Charlie and even Leah and Liam every week. I missed them all terribly, but I talked to them on a regular basis and they had come down for Jacob's and my wedding; which had been a small and intimate ceremony much like Melody and Paul's. However, Carol, my siblings, and Margaret had made the journey and instead of taking place at the beach our wedding had taken place in the backyard of Charlie's house (which had been remodeled over the years) with reception taking place inside given the relatively small number of people attending.
"In all seriousness I was thinking that if we had a boy, we could make him a junior," I said and Jacob raised an eyebrow as my right hand slipped into his short hair. "I thought we could name him after you and call him JJ to limit any confusion."
"You really want to do that?" he asked and I nodded. "Okay," he said after a beat and his smile returned. However, I didn't let it stay in place for too long because I laughed quietly before I pressed my mouth over his and kissed him hard.
The days trickled by and before long summer was over and fall had just arrived. With October quickly approaching, the weather had changed and my body right along with it. I now looked like I carried a rather large basketball around under my shirts and I actually waddled slightly, but I wasn't going to complain. I had had a surprisingly easy pregnancy and I was thankful for it. Melody had been on bed rest during the latter months of her pregnancy with the twins and even Leah, who's first pregnancy seven years ago had been a shock and pleasant surprise to everyone, had had severe morning sickness during her first trimester. Needless to say I had received many jabs over the last few months from my female friends who had had rough pregnancies, and I took them all in stride because I was well aware that not all pregnancies were the same; and when Jacob and I had another baby there was a chance that I would not be as lucky.
I hadn't slept all that well the night before, so, Jacob had headed off to the shop alone that day; pretty much forcing me to stay home and rest since I hadn't rested well during the night. I normally wasn't one to perch myself on the sofa, in front of the TV, and not move for long periods of time; but I had gotten comfortable on our large and extremely comfortable sofa with my pregnancy pillow and a blanket in tow and I had barely moved. I did, however, get up to use the bathroom a few times and of course that would lead to a stop off in the kitchen to grab a snack of some kind before I made my way back into the living room and my little nest.
At one point in the middle of an episode of one of those terrible daytime talk shows I had fallen asleep only to be woken up a few hours later by a familiar deep chuckle. The scent of motor oil hit my nose as I woke up, and the touch of Jacob's hot and calloused fingers gently brushing across my forehead as he pushed back my hair made goose bumps race along my skin as I opened my eyes to see his smiling face as he squatted in front of where I laid on the sofa.
"Evening, sleeping beauty," he said quietly as his hand remained on my face and he rubbed his thumb along my cheek. I smiled slightly at him before his words sunk in and I furrowed my brow slightly.
"Evening?" I questioned, my voice heavy and laced with sleep, as I blinked at him and he chuckled once more.
"Yeah," he said. "It's six-thirty."
"Dammit, I was going to have dinner ready for you since I was home all day," I said as I sat up, forcing his hand from my face, as I pushed off the blankets and struggled to get off the sofa. However, Jacob was quick to stand before he put his hands on my shoulders to calm me and I looked up at him.
"Baby, relax, it's fine," he said. "I just threw one of casserole dishes in the oven that you put together on Sunday and froze for during the week. I've got dinner covered." He grinned and I sighed, which made him chuckle once again as he let go of my shoulders and sat down on the sofa next to me. Thankfully, he was oil and stain free thanks to his coveralls so I didn't have to worry about anything getting on our nice dark brown micro fiber sofa. It would garner plenty of stains when the baby came. He wrapped his left arm around my shoulders and pulled my body into his before his right hand found my stomach and he gently ran his thumb along it. "How are you feeling?" he asked and I sighed softly once more as I rested my head on his shoulder and covered his right hand on my stomach with my left.
"Exhausted still and I don't know why," I said. "I've barely left the sofa all day and I just slept for hours."
"Well, like you've said before it's been a pretty easy pregnancy, maybe it's finally catching up to you," he said and I chuckled as I twisted my head to look at him, and sure enough he was smiling as he looked back at me.
"Maybe," I said before I felt the overwhelming need to go to the bathroom again, which made me sigh heavily yet again.
"What?" he asked, his smile still in place.
"I have to pee for about the two hundredth time today," I said, which earned me a full fledged laugh from my husband before he kissed my lips chastely. He pulled away from me and stood from the sofa before he grabbed my hands and helped me to my feet. "Thanks," I said and he, still chuckling by the way, nodded before I let go of his hands and started to waddle my way to the bathroom on the first floor of our two story house. However, I had only stepped into the foyer when I felt a sharp pain that forced me to stop walking. I gasped and grabbed at my lower stomach, which resulted in Jacob running to my side.
"What's wrong?" he asked, all humor and teasing aside as concern took over his emotions.
"I don't-," I started to say when I felt another pain followed quickly by a popping sensation before I was suddenly peeing my pants. However, I knew immediately that it wasn't pee and my heart started racing. "My water just broke," I whispered as I looked down and saw my gray sweatpants darkening as the fluid continued to flow.
"What?" Jacob cried out, his voice going up an octave and echoing off the walls of our house. I looked up at him and saw a look of pure panic settle on his face. "You're not due for another three weeks."
"Yeah, well, he or she wants to arrive early because I did not just pee my pants, Jacob," I said, my voice shaking and Jacob looked down.
"Shit," he said before he looked back up at my face. "We don't have your hospital bag ready. Hell, Rory, we don't even have the crib together yet!"
"I know, but the baby doesn't care," I said. Part of me wanted to laugh at the look that was on Jacob's face, but I kept the desire at bay. I was about to have a baby and I needed to focus. "I'm sure we've got time. We'll just throw some stuff in a bag and we'll he-," I made to continue, but a sharp burning pain ripped through my lower abdomen and wrapped around my entire body before settling in my lower back. I couldn't hold back the scream that had ripped from my throat because the pain had been sudden and intense, and I was certain that Jacob had nearly had a heart attack as he grabbed me by the upper arms while I clutched my stomach.
"You okay?" he asked once the pain passed and I was panting and trying to do the relaxation breathing Melody had taught me. I looked up at him and nodded.
"It was just a contraction," I said. "I wasn't expecting it. I wouldn't have screamed otherwise. Sorry." Jacob pursed his lips before he took a deep breath through his nose and let go of my arms.
"I'm taking you to the hospital," he said as he turned and went to the coat closet. He grabbed my light jacket along with the slip on shoes I'd been wearing given that my feet tended to swell the last few weeks.
"I need to change my pants and grab a towel so I don't leak on the seat of the truck," I said and he shook his head.
"Your sweats are fine and I'll clean the seat," he said as he took my hand and pulled me out of the small puddle that had formed around my feet before he helped me into my shoes and then tugged my jacket on.
"Jacob, I'm scared," I admitted once my jacket was on and he was pulling out his keys. He paused and looked at me, his brown eyes meeting my blue, before he leaned down and kissed me chastely.
"Me too, but you're going to be fine and so is the baby," he said. It was weird that with that little admittance Jacob seemed to become the picture of calm while I was panicking, and I had a feeling it had to do with the imprint connection. There had been many times over the years when I'd been afraid or nervous about something and Jacob was as solid as a rock. I knew that he hadn't lied when he said he was scared, but thanks to the whole wolf thing he was able to push aside his fears and focus on being strong for me. That usually made me uncomfortable, but I was glad for it at that moment because I was no longer the rational one as my fear of failing at what was to come took over.
"What if I suck at being a mom?" I asked rather randomly and he smiled at me then.
"You won't," he said before he took hold of my hand. "Now, let's go."
"What about the mess?" I asked as I glanced over my shoulder at the mess I had left on the nice treated wood floor.
"I'll call Sue once we get to the hospital and ask her to come by and fix up a bag for you," he said and I looked at him. "I'll ask her to clean it up." I nodded absently and it felt like the next thing I knew I was in Jacob's truck and we were flying down the road with Forks Hospital as our destination.
"You know, you really didn't have to give your mommy such a hard time," I heard Jacob whisper quietly as I slowly woke up from a deep and heavy sleep that had been brought on my nearly twenty hours of painful and rather rough labor. The grueling delivery of Jacob's and my baby had more than made up for my relatively easy pregnancy, but hearing the baby's first cry had holding the baby to my sweat dampened chest for the first time had been more than worth all the stitches and pain that came with the baby's arrival. I kept my eyes closed as I listened to Jacob continue his one sided conversation with our baby and held back the smile that threatened to show.
"She took good care of you the whole time and when it's time for you to make your debut you fight her on it even though you insisted on coming early." In the quiet of the room I heard a soft coo and a sigh, which I knew belonged to our baby, which was quickly followed by a chuckle from Jacob. "Well, you already got my stubbornness so I guess mommy was right in wanting to name you after me. Don't you think, JJ?" he sked our son and I smiled then as I opened my eyes to see Jacob sitting in the small hospital chair beside my hospital bed with a tightly swaddled Jacob Ephraim Black, Jr., settled in his arms.
JJ was not a small newborn despite being a little less than a month early; he was twenty inches long and weighed in at nine pounds four ounces; but in Jacob's impressive arms our son looked almost tiny. He already had a bunch of ink black hair and now that he was no longer covered in blood and everything else he had been the first time I had seen him I could see that his skin tone was just a little bit lighter than Jacob's. Of course to me he was the most beautiful baby in the world, but I had a feeling he was going to take after his father and if that was the case we were going to have our hands full with teenager JJ in a few short years.
"I'm always right," I said quietly and Jacob lifted his dark eyes from our son and settled them on me with a grin coming to his lips.
"Of course you are," he agreed with a teasing glint in his eyes that made my smile widen before I glanced around the room. "Charlie, Sue, and Dad went home shortly after you fell asleep," Jacob said and I looked back at him. "The others are going to come by tomorrow in shifts to visit." That was probably a good idea because given the number of our friends I highly doubted the hospital would be all too pleased with all them coming to visit at once, and I told Jacob as much and he laughed quietly before he nodded in agreement. "However, there are a few people that just got here," he said and I frowned as he looked towards the door and I followed his gaze only to see Bella, Edward, Rosalie, Emmett, Alice, Jasper, Renesmee, and Seth all make their way into the room.
Renesmee smiled brightly at me before she let go of Seth's hand and rushed to my bedside. I laughed as she hugged me tight, and was momentarily blinded by her dark coppery curls before she pulled back from me and remained perched on my bedside.
"When Jake called and told Mom that you were having your baby, we drove as fast as we could down from Alaska. We were going to fly, but our plane was delayed because of a storm in Seattle," Renesmee said, her bell like voice soft and gentle, and I laughed.
"I'm glad you guys came," I said as I covered her right hand with mine before I looked at the others. "I'm happy to see all of you."
"Carlisle and Esme are here as well, but they're going to wait to visit until you're released from the hospital," Edward said and I nodded in understanding. It was possible for them to come to the hospital without question because while they still looked young, they dressed differently and could pass for people in their late twenties. Carlisle and Esme didn't have the luxury anymore of passing as the ages people in Forks believed them to be.
"May I hold him?" Rosalie asked, excitement in her amber eyes, as she walked over to Jacob. As I expected there was a very slight hesitation on Jacob's part, but he smiled at Rosalie before he stood and carefully handed off JJ to the blonde. "He's beautiful," Rosalie said as she looked down at JJ before she looked at me. "What did you name him?"
"Jacob Ephraim Black, Jr.," I said. "We're going to call him JJ for short." Rosalie continued to coo and fuss over JJ for a bit longer before he was soon passed around. It didn't take long though for him to end up back in my arms because it was time for him to eat. It was a little awkward at first, but I had a blanket covering JJ and myself and soon the conversation was once again flowing.
An hour after JJ had been fed everyone save for Jacob had left, promising to visit again once I was released, and JJ was soon sleeping in his little bed the nurse had brought him in from the nursery. I was lying back in my bed with Jacob lying beside me and playing with the fingers of my left hand. My engagement ring sparkled slightly, catching the light that was on above our heads. It wasn't a grand ring, but the simple small solitaire diamond on a yellow gold band had been the ring that Billy had given to Jacob's mother when he had asked her to marry him and it was the most beautiful engagement ring in the world. At least to me it was.
"Why do you still wear this?" Jacob asked quietly as his fingers moved down to my wrist and toyed with the weathered braided bracelet that rested there.
"Is it bad that I do?" I asked and he shook his head.
"No, I'm just curious. I would have thought you'd stop wearing it when we got married," he said.
"I like it and I'll never stop wearing it because every time I look at it I remember everything you said to me that night and how I felt being with you up on the cliff," I said. "And only one thing about the way I feel has changed since that night, Jacob."
"What's that?" he asked his brown eyes intense and I smiled at him.
"I love you even more," I said quietly and Jacob smiled at me in return before he leaned into me and pressed his lips to mine in a slow heat filled kiss. I was left breathless as he pulled away with a quiet curse. "What's wrong?" I asked softly.
"It's going to be a long six weeks," he said with a serious expression on his face and I laughed quietly before I raised my right hand to his face and ran my thumb along his cheek.
"Maybe, but we'll be too busy with JJ to think much about it," I said and Jacob grinned.
"Rory, I'm a guy. Sometimes that's the only thing I think about all day, even when I'm working," he confessed and I laughed under my breath as I rolled my eyes. However, he silenced me with another kiss that I happily participated in.
No one had a perfect life but mine was about as close to perfect as it could possibly be, and it was all thanks to a chance meeting along a deserted two lane road in the middle of nowhere where I literally ended up falling into the arms of my future.
