Kakashi was pulling Obito along.

"Why do I have to wear a blindfold?"

"It's a surprise," Kakashi said simply. "Quit complaining. You'll thank me later."

Obito pouted and tried to hide the redness coming to his face. Kakashi's hand was covering his, and the warmth was too distracting.

Kakashi's voice took him out of his trance. "We're here. You can take off your blindfold," he said softly. Obito slowly retracted his hand and yanked the cloth off. He gasped as Hawk took her mask off.

Kakashi felt knuckles connect with his cheek, and he rubbed it gingerly. "What the fuck! You lied to me!"

"It was to protect her."

Obito felt tears sting his eyes. "H-how?"

"I'm here, Obito. It's me."

Rin brought him into his arms. "I'm here."

They talked for hours, and Rin explained her story. Kakashi was silent the whole time, a pillar of support for his friends. Rin didn't hold anything back, and although she expressed her disappointment, she also expressed her love. And that was what Obito needed- finally a chance to be absolved of guilt, a chance to start over.

Kakashi and Obito walked home quietly. Kakashi looked to him a couple of times, but Obito seemed deep in thought.

Kakashi unlocked the door and walked in, kicking his shoes off. He tripped as Obito pushed him against the wall. "Wh-what?"

"I really like you!" Obito blurted.

"I like you too."

Obito shook his head. "No, I like you."

Kakashi pulled down his mask. "I know," he rasped, and he grasped the back of Obito's neck and pulled him in for a kiss. Obito moaned, his knees wobbling. He clutched Kakashi's shoulders in need, and he broke away breathlessly. He leaned against Kakashi, trembling.

"I- I really like you."

"I'm so happy you do."

Kakashi was late, as usual. Sai and Naruto held hands underneath the table. Sakura sat on Yamato's lap as he squirmed uncomfortably. Ichiraku was a little uncomfortable with all the affection being shown, but in the end, he was happy that they were happy.

It was the first time they had a good time together in a long time, but he was glad that chapter of his life was closed. That had been way too much stress. He was much happier with his new team.

As he arrived at home, he was hugged tightly and sloppily smooched on the cheek.

Obito smiled, his scar fading. "Welcome home."

Kakashi returned the smile. "I'm home."
