Bella watched in horror as the out of control van smashed into her side. She screamed as she felt a few of her ribs and right leg break. She looked on dazed as three Russet skinned men pulled the van off of her.

She looked into the eyes of the one nearest to her, she saw the awe and concern in his eyes before she passed out from the pain.

Paul looked down at the girl who collapsed in his arms. It was a strong feeling that led him to get Sam and Jared to come out to Forks with him. Sam and Jared kept asking him why, he kept saying he didn't know why, just that they needed to be out there.

When he saw the van hit the petite young woman he knew why. The three of them rushed over and pushed the van off of her. They will deal with the questions later, Paul caught her in his arms, when he looked into her doe brown eyes, he felt his world shift on its access and center around her.
