"Doctor, I brought the epidural for Mrs. Taisho."

Sango turned her head towards the anesthesiologist. She sensed a vile demonic presence within that woman. Something was not right.

"Excuse me, Kagome did not consent for any kind of anesthetics!" She called out, trying to buy time.

"I need it! I need it! This is too painful!" Kagome screamed out.

"Turn her on her side." The mysterious anesthesiologist ordered.

"Kagome, no! You don't need this!"

"Let the woman make her own decisions!"

"How dare you!" Sango stood and lunged toward the woman.

"What are you planning?" Inuyasha questioned, snarling through his gritted fangs.

"Kagome is to receive an overdose of anesthetics, paralyzing her so intensely, she will not be able to push, hence, sending the child into distress."

"You son of a—"

"I have received word that Kagome has preeclampsia. Her pressure is so high she may experience a stroke. The doctors will attempt to perform an emergency C section, but the midwife will delay the process, ultimately killing the child."

Naraku smirked as Inuyasha trembled and Sesshomaru held his arm tightly.

"Once Kagome is sent to recovery, she will receive what she believes is hypertension medication. But in actuality she will receive a high dose of amoxicillin."

"What the hell were you doing in her records?! How did you know—"

"That she has a dangerous allergy to penicillin?" He shrugged. "Just a hunch."

Inuyasha stood and kicked his chair out the window. "I swear to god you better call them off! I swear!" He screamed.

Suddenly, his phone began to ring.

"You should answer that." Naraku said coolly.

"Hello?"

"Inuyasha? I was kicked out of the delivery room."

"What the hell for?!"

"I thought the anesthesiologist seemed suspicious and I attacked her when she tried to give Kagome an epidural."

"Damn it!" He looked up at Naraku. "Call them off! Call them off now! I'll make whatever deal you want.

"Inuyasha don't! Do not make a deal with Naraku!"

Inuyasha hung up the phone on Sango.

"Now. Let us talk business."

Sango turned to Miroku and gave him a deep, passionate kiss.

"What was that for?"

She snatched the gun from the holster on his hip. "I am going to go to jail. Please forgive me." She ran back into the delivery room.

"What are you doing back in here?" A nurse shouted as she approached Sango.

Sango gave her a smug glare and pointed the glock in the nurse's face.

"I want everyone to back away from Kagome or I will shoot you all."

"But—"

"Now!" She screamed.

"Sango what are you doing?!" Kagome shouted out, a pained scream following her words.

"Kagome, I want you to pick one person in this room you trust beside me. Hurry!"

Kagome pointed to a young, frightened nurse in the corner. "S-she went to Fuji with us."

Sango looked in the young woman's eyes and saw honesty and fear.

She sighed and pointed the gun at everyone else.

"You!" She spoke to the nurse. "Deliver the baby!"

"B-but I'm not licensed yet! What if I hurt her or the baby?"

Sango pointed the gun at the doctor and waved her hand for the woman to come forward.

"Walk her through it. Let's go!"

"Hmm...so it seems an unexpected turn of events has occurred." Naraku mentioned, his eyebrows furrowed. "It appears we..." His phone began to ring.

"Yes, Kagura? Is it done?"

"I don't know who the hell you are but you're the only contact in this woman's burner phone. She's dead, by the way." Koga said coldly.

"Oh? Did you kill her?"

"No. Officer Yamada shot her in the head. So here's the deal. We're tracing your number and this is about to be over!"

Naraku began to chuckle. "Not quite, my friend." He hung up his phone and looked over at Inuyasha.

"The deal is off, I'm afraid."

"What?! Why?" Inuyasha questioned.

"Because the circumstances have changed. So I have to change the rules."

Miroku ran into the delivery room and Sango turned sharply, gun pointed in his direction.

"What are you doing in here?!"

The suspicious anesthesiologist used Sango's momentary distraction as an opportunity to attack. She ran towards her, equipping a knife as Miroku, a spare gun in hand, shot the woman in her head.

His jaw dropped as the gun slipped out of his hand. He stared at the twitching body as blood pooled around her head, soaking her cheek. 'I just killed a woman.'

"Miroku! Miroku! Snap out of it! Deliver the baby!" Sango shouted over Kagome's screams.

"What?!" Kagome shrieked.

"Miroku has helped deliver a child before! Just hurry!"

Miroku ran over to Kagome. He glanced at the monitors and realized the child was struggling to survive, but so was Kagome. '160 over 99 is dangerous! How is her pressure that high?!'

"Please forgive me." He said as he lifted the blanket on top of her. He could see the newborn's feet inside her birth canal. 'Oh no…this is bad news. I can't get her to push.'

"Sango, I'm sorry. I can't do this. She needs a c-section."

"Help me!" Kagome screamed.

"Uhh…uhh…" He searched around frantically until he found gloves and slipped them on his hands, and then picked up a scalpel.

The nurse ran out the room, ignoring the fact that Sango was shouting and pointing a gun at her. She returned moments later with a syringe and walked over to Kagome.

"You guys were so nice to me back in high school. I want to help." She said. "Help me turn Kagome onto her side."

Miroku and the young nurse turned Kagome onto her side and she quickly injected a spinal anesthetic into her.

"You need to make a horizontal incision." The doctor ordered Miroku. "Can you do that?"

"No!" He shouted in a terrified tone.

Kagome screamed as her heart rate accelerated and the baby's slowed down.

"Can I come help? Please?" The doctor asked.

Sango nodded and the doctor ran over to put an oxygen mask on Kagome. She then snatched the scalpel out of Miroku's hand and pushed him out of the way.

She watched with a pale face as her best friend was cut open and the baby was pulled out.

Miroku, on the other hand, fainted.

Kagome sighed in relief as she cried. The doctor and nurses rushed over to take the baby and weigh her and check her vitals.

Sango looked down at the woman's body then took her phone out of her pocket. She took a picture of the baby and sent it to Inuyasha.

"5 pounds, 14 ounces! 19 inches! Not bad for a preemie!" The doctor said.

Sango excitedly called Inuyasha.

"S-she is so beautiful. You did it...you got her here safely." He said in disbelief.

"Miroku and I tried our best to make sure they both got here alive. Miroku even made a split decision to shoot a woman in the head."

"Hey, I'll call you back. Let me just...wrap this up."

Inuyasha glared at Naraku. "So, now what? What have you got now?"

Naraku growled angrily, then smirked the moment he remembered the bomb he had attached to Sesshomaru's door.

Suddenly, Sesshomaru's phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Daddy!"

"What's the matter?"

"Hi, Daddy, it's Kenji."

"I know. What's going on?"

"Where's mommy?"

"She's working. Is something the matter?"

"Oh, There's a beeping thing on the house."

"Where exactly are you?"

"We dug to outside when we heard the noises. Ichi said I made a mess but my clothes is clean and he's dirty."

"Where is Jaken?"

"He heard us digging and came and chased us. Now he's scared to talk to you. He thinks you're mad so he gave me the phone. Are you mad daddy?"

"Not at all. Give Jaken the phone."

"Okay!"

"Y-yes, sir?"

"Jaken. Call the police immediately and take the children to Inuyasha's house."

"Right away, sir."

Sesshomaru hung up the phone and cracked his knuckles.

"Inuyasha."

The younger brother nodded as a worried Naraku stared at them in confusion.
