Prologue: "Toon Marooned 2 or Total Warners Island?"
At the Warner Bros. Studios lot, the studio executives were thinking of various ways to bring Bugs Bunny back into the animated spotlight. While the beloved stable of Warner characters have seen their fair share of recent projects and underground hits, the studio was hoping to spark more interest into the star leader of the Looney Tunes. Suddenly, the idea clicked in their heads: "Why not have the famous cartoon rabbit serve as the master of ceremonies for an all-star cartoon series?"
However, while the executives thought they would have a smash hit on their hands, they wondered what type of show the jackrabbit would host. Ideas were flying around in the heads of the executives: an improv comedy game show in the vein of Wild 'N Out, an all-star comedy showcase, a talent-based competition series a la America's Got Talent, even a battle rap tournament in the vein of what is seen in the Ultimate Rap League and King of the Dot. After a moment of brainstorming, the success of the Total Drama series popped into the minds of the executives, which led to them thinking, "If it worked for Teletoon, it should work for us, right?"
After all, Bugs served as the master of ceremonies in a similar series titled Toon Marooned, though that one was a mini-series that was more gag-based and character-driven, compared to the other Survivor-based reality shows that tend to be more dramatic and intense with small doses of humor. Regardless, the people at Warner Bros. decided to call up their biggest cartoon star to see if he would be willing to host another Toon Marooned-style series, while sending invitations to the crème de la crème of the Animation Multiverse.
Meanwhile, at a nearby mansion in Los Angeles, Bugs Bunny was busy relaxing at his pool, reading the stories that include Daffy Duck trying to revive his ghostbusting business, Warner Bros. trying to get the production of Space Jam 2 with LeBron James on the road and the return of the Teen Titans. While reading his newspaper, Bugs heard his cellphone ring and saw the number of Warner Bros. Studios show up on his phone. Taking note of the call from Warner Bros. and interested in what they had in store for him, he answered the phone and coolly said in his signature style while munching on a carrot, "Ehh ... what's up, doc?"
On the other line, the Warner executives were busy telling Bugs about their plans for another all-new animated series following the critical acclaim and ratings success of Wabbit. Bugs looked intrigued about this as he said, "So, what project did you guys have in mind?"
The Warner Bros. executives started telling Bugs about their plans for an all-new animated reality series that would be done in the vein of the Total Drama franchise, more specifically, the famed first season that was aptly titled Total Drama Island. Bugs raised his eyebrows with interest and said, "So, let me get this straight: you guys are going to produce an all-new animated reality series featuring 60 cartoon characters from the United States, Canada and Japan, and have them compete for a cool $10 million? You even want me to step in as the host?"
When the Warner executives confirmed this, Bugs started to look a little disinterested about serving as the host of the show, saying, "Eh, I don't know, fellas, I have a feeling that the relevancy and influence of Total Drama might be fading away for crossover stories like these. Besides, I hear that the spin-off series, The Ridonculous Race, is becoming more of everyone's cup of tea nowadays ..."
On the other line, however, the Warner execs mentioned that they had already placed their stake on the series and feel as though it might be a surprise success, seeing as how they recruited world-renowned entrepreneur, rapper, actor, comedian and producer Darius Magnificent, surprising Bugs as he said, "Wait a minute, hold the phone here! You mean to tell me that you guys actually got in touch with Darius Magnificent ... as in, the Darius Magnificent?"
Bugs then turned to the audience and held up a script as he whispered, "Eh, I actually know a thing or two about the guy, but I'm just acting so surprised because it's all in the script."
Bugs then turned back to his phone as he said, "Alright, I guess I'll go ahead and step in as the master of ceremonies for this show on one condition: you guys have to make sure that the location is something that screams 'Warner Bros.!', meaning you have to bring in an all-star chef, have an all-star location and, most importantly, have the biggest all-star cast the likes of which the television world has never seen before! So, do we have a deal or are you guys going to find someone else? I could easily contact Nick Cannon to host this show; after all, the man is hosting everything on television nowadays."
Back at the Warner Bros. Studios lot, the Warner executives were extensively thinking about Bugs' wager: should they heed to their big cartoon star's demands in order to give the cast and the viewers around the world the best cartoon crossover experience in the world or should they just go ahead and find a prominent celebrity to handle this crazy group of cartoon characters they were about to assemble? Finally, the Warner Bros. executives decided to heed to Bugs' request, so he could feel comfortable hosting the show, much to the jackrabbit's delight.
"Excellent," Bugs said with a smirk as he took a bite out of his carrot. "Oh, and by the way ... I prefer to be paid in carrots, if you catch my drift."
Chapter 01 (Episode 1, Week 1) – Season 1: Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' Part 1
The show starts with a scenic view of Camp Wawanakwa in Los Angeles, California, which looked more scenic and more along the lines of a feature film studio compared to its Canadian counterpart. Eventually, Bugs Bunny popped out of his rabbit and walked up to the docks while speaking to the audience, "Well, hello, ladies and gentlemen! We're coming to you live from Camp Wawanakwa in beautiful Los Angeles, California! I'm your master of ceremonies aka your host, Bugs Bunny, preparing to drop the first season of the newest 'cartoon reality' show to hit the airwaves, right about now."
As Bugs walked through Camp Wawanakwa, he continued to address the audience, saying, "Alright, folks, here's the deal ... when we started to work on this show, it was supposed to consist of 22 campers, who signed up and had to spend at least 8 weeks here in this summer camp, which was supposed to be like the one you saw on Total Drama Island. However, this young entrepreneur joined the production team of this show and wanted to spice things up, which included upping the budget and improving the quality of Camp Wawanakwa—only by creating a new, improved and enhanced version here in Los Angeles, California. Even then, when we tried to start this show from the ground up, we ran into production problems that started to hinder on the success of this show. Following the fourth go at the production, we thought of leaving this show out in the cold because of the development problems that plagued us during production, just like what was happening with Space Jam 2 as of late. Luckily, we are going to give this show another shot because, hey, something has to work out in this version, right? Anyway, we are bringing back the idea of having 60 of the world's most-beloved cartoon—and even some anime—characters to battle for a cool prize of $10 million. While they are enjoying the beautiful scenery and relazing here at this camp complex, they will compete in challenges against each other and will have to face the judgement of their fellow campers. Every 3 days, one of these two teams will either win a reward or go down in shame as they watch one of their team members walk the Dock of Shame, board the Boat of Maroons and leave the island ... for good –- well, depending on how things go behind the scenes, anyway."
In the next scene, Bugs took the audience to a bonfire pit where he reveals how the elimination ceremonies will go down, "Each week, all but one of the campers will receive ... a marshmallow. Yeah, no kidding. In the end, only one camper will be left standing and will be rewarded with worldwide fame, rising to the top of animation supremacy, and a beautiful fortune of $10 million! Depending on who the winner is, the money will be invested in more important matters or it will be blown in one week. However, if they want to survive long enough to win the sweet millions, they will have to deal with the wildlife of Camp Wawankwa ..."
Chronos popped in and said, "Like Chronos, the Master of All-Time!"
As Chronos ran off, Bugs just shrugged it off and said, "The works of Chef Gin Rummy ..."
Gin Rummy was cooking in the kitchen, looking at the audience and saying, "What the f**k y'all lookin' at?"
Back at the camp, Bugs said, "... and each other. Who will crush under the pressure, who will be the two finalists of the first season and who will win the amazing $10 million by the end of this season? To find the answers of these questions, grab a chair, grab a bag of popcorn and grab a drink because this season is going to be a doozy! So, without further ado, let's get on with the first season of Total ... Warners ... Island! Alright, maestro, cue the theme music!"
(Cue Theme Song – "I Wanna Be Famous")
After the intro sequence, Bugs Bunny was standing on the docks as he said to the audience, "Welcome back to Total Warners Island, ladies and gentlemen. Before we introduce our competitors for this season, I have to speak on a few key differences for this version of Total Drama Island. First things first, as I'm sure you folks can tell, this will be set in Los Angeles here at the Warner Bros. Studios lot, so that at least explains why this Camp Wawanakwa looks more advanced compared to what you folks saw in Total Drama Island. Second, while we will still have a main winner at the end of this season, the runner-up will also receive a consolation prize for all of their hard work throughout this season. What will be the consolation prize? Well ... you'll just have to wait until the end of this season to find out! Anyway, with all that said and done, let's go ahead and meet the cartoon characters who have been invited to compete on this show through the fine folks of Warner Bros. Animation."
After the explanation, the first yacht arrived at the docks and unloaded the first two competitors, both of whom looked very familiar to Bugs. The first one was an older Warner Brother who wore white gloves and brown pants, and the second competitor was the middle sibling and the younger Warner Brother, who wore a red baseball cap, white gloves and a blue long-sleeved shirt.
"Hellooo, Camp Wawanakwa!" Yakko said in a confident tone as he placed his bags down on the docks.
"Your new champions are here!" Wakko said in a similar tone of confidence as he and Yakko turned to see Bugs Bunny standing on the docks. "Bugs Bunny, is that you?"
"Who'd you expect, doc? Michael Jordan?" Bugs asked in an incredulous tone as Yakko and Wakko walked up to the rabbit.
"Bugs, how'd you manage to get a hosting gig like this?" Yakko said in a tone of interest while raising his eyebrows with a smirk.
"Eh, Warner Bros. called and wanted me to serve as the host for this new series, so—with a few stipulations and requirements—I decided to step up and serve as the master of ceremonies," Bugs explained as he took a bite from his carrot.
As Yakko and Wakko walked to the end of the docks, two other contestants arrived on the island, who were also familiar to Bugs ... maybe even moreso because they were his former protégés from Acme Looniversity. The first of the two rabbits was a blue male rabbit who wore a red shirt and white gloves, whereas the second of the two rabbits was a pink female rabbit who wore a yellow shirt, purple skirt and had two purple ribbons tied on her ears.
"Eh ... what's up, teach?" Buster said as he and Babs stepped off of the yacht, all while they took turns shaking hands with their mentor. "I guess you've reached the next level with this one, Bugs; Warner Bros. decided to give you the hosting gig of this new animated series, huh?"
Bugs just shrugged as he said in a humble tone, "Eh, I guess I needed to serve as a worthy competitor to Nick Cannon at one point or another."
"Well, I can say that hosting this show is a good start, Bugs," Babs said as she and Buster joined Yakko and Wakko at the end of the docks. "Just make sure you can multitask just as good as Mr. NCredible himself."
Bugs could only chuckle in response as he said to himself, "No need to worry, Babs, I think I could multitask just fine ..."
Following Buster and Babs' arrival on the island, Bugs proceeded with the introduction of the cartoon contestants as the next contestant finally arrived at Camp Wawanakwa: a young preteen Asian girl who had pink highlights in her black hair and wore a green T-shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
"Well, hello, Juniper Lee, it's nice to actually see ya," Bugs said with a smile as he and June shook hands.
"Thanks, Bugs, but you can just call me 'June', June said as she looked at Camp Wawanakwa in amazement. "Ok, Bugs, please tell me this is a dream because I'm surprised this camp actually looks so nice!"
Bugs just smiled and coolly took a bite out of his carrot as he said, "Well, it's not a dream, June; this is just one of the many perks that comes from this series being produced by Warner Brothers."
"Wow ... this is awesome!" June said as she continued carrying her bags to the end of the docks. "It's about time I got an actual break from Te Xuan Ze duties for once, so it's nice that I get an opportunity to rest and relax while engaging in some good-natured competition."
As June walked down the docks to join Yakko, Wakko, Buster and Babs, three new contestants have stepped off of the yacht that was carrying them and had finally arrived on the island. The first contestant to step off of the yacht was a tall skeleton who wore a black cloak and carried a mystical scythe; the second contestant was a young boy with a big nose who wore a red baseball cap, a white shirt with a blue stripe in the middle, blue pants and white sneakers with a red stripe in the middle; and the third contestant was a young girl with blonde hair who wore a pink dress with a flower at the center and black shoes.
"Now, getting back to the new contestants, let's welcome Grim, Billy and Mandy to the show," Bugs said as the three contestants walked up to the other cast members of the show.
"Hmm ... this place looks surprisingly top-notch," Mandy said upon seeing the Los Angeles version of Camp Wawanakwa.
"Yeah, you'd think these reality shows would have a setting that's much more rough and rugged, not something that looks like a movie studio," Grim said as he took a look at Camp Wawanakwa.
"Well, honestly, I could care less because I'm going to have so much fun here!" Billy said with a smile. "I can't wait to make new friends on this island! But, to be honest here, it's a good thing this place is clean for once."
Billy turned to see Grim and Mandy look surprised about his assessment of Camp Wawankwa, giving them a look of disdain as he said, "What? I'm not allowed to call out the grossness of our environment because I was the 'grossout comedy dispenser' on our show? Huh?!"
"Billy, you practically did a lot of disgusting things on our show and it takes you appearing on a reality show to speak out against it now?" Grim said in a tone of astonishment.
"Hey, don't judge me, Grim! Besides, I was young at the time and I didn't even know any better!" Billy said in a defensive tone.
Grim just scoffed at this in response as he said, "Yeah, all of this coming from the boy who ate and literally washed his hair with dog—"
Mandy then finished Grim's statement by saying, "Steak sauce."
Billy just shuddered in response as he said, "Eugh, don't remind me. I can't believe it took me until the very end of that episode to figure that out."
Meanwhile, another contestant had finally arrived on the island and, much to Bugs' complete surprise, this contestant was different from the others who have arrived or, more specifically, anyone Bugs has met in his life. This contestant was an actual robot who had the mind of a teenage human girl, had white metallic skin, light blue hair with pigtails, large eyes, a "false nose", an exposed screw for a belly button and she wore a light blue tank top and a mini-skirt. This contestant did not ride on the yacht like the previous ones who arrived; instead, she had flown to Camp Wawanakwa and eventually landed on the docks smoothly.
Bugs looked on in amazement, then he turned to the audience and said, "Heh, I thought I'd seen everything today, but this is the first time I have seen a teenage robot arrive to a show in a style like this. Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to the incomparable XJ9!"
"Thanks, Bugs, but you can call me Jenny Wakeman," Jenny said as she walked up to the other contestants who were staring at her in simultaneous surprise and amazement. "Oh, hi, you must be the other competitors of this series. I'm Jenny and it's nice to meet you all."
"Whoa, you're an actual teenage robot?" June said in amazement.
"Yeah," Jenny said.
"So, you mean that you have the mind and personality of an actual teenage girl?" Babs said in amazement.
"Right," Jenny said with a slight nod of her head.
Suddenly, as if right on cue, the Warner Brothers both jumped into Jenny's arms as they simultaneously said, "Helloooo, Robot Nurse!"
The Warner Brothers started snuggling with Jenny as Wakko said with a sigh, "I like this one, Yakko; she may be made of metal, but she's so comfortable."
"Hey, if we can afford the rent, Wakko, let's stay!" Yakko said while Jenny could only blush at the antics of the Warner Brothers.
While the Warners were flirting with Jenny, the next contestant finally arrived on the island: a pink dog who wore a collar that read the name of 'Courage'. Courage walked up to shake hands with Bugs, then he walked down the docks to mingle with the other contestants.
Suddenly, everyone turned to the yacht when they all heard a voice say, "Alright, you guys have met the teenage robot girl and the cowardly dog just showed up a few minutes ago, but it's time that y'all roll out the red carpet because the Young Prince known as Riley Escobar aka HR Paperstacks aka Pillsbury Doughboy aka Louis Rich has finally arrived!"
Everyone realized that the source of the voice was a young African-American male who had a cornrow hairstyle and wore a white T-shirt, black jeans and white sneakers. Following this contestant were two other contestants: his older brother, who had an afro and wore a brown shirt with a white T-shirt on the inside, blue jeans and black shoes, and one of their close allies, who was a young blonde female, who had two braided ponytails with three long strands of hair on the front and wore a short-sleeved burgundy hoodie, black shorts and white sneakers.
"Riley, why do you always resort to the flashiness and braggadocio every time you appear on live television?" Huey asked while shaking his head in disdain.
Cindy then walked up to Huey and said, "Come on, Huey, why you gotta be a player-hater?"
Riley then nudged Huey as he said, "Man, Huey, stop being such a sucker! You know you gotta make a grand entrance when you appear on these types of shows!"
Huey could only roll his eyes as he said under his breath, "Why did Granddad have us sign up for this show in the first place?"
"To make that goddamn money, Huey, that's what!" Riley said with a smirk as he, Huey and Cindy walked down the docks and walked over to the other contestants.
Bugs just took notice of the antics of Riley and Cindy, then he could only say to the audience, "You know, I kinda feel sorry for that Huey Freeman kid."
Meanwhile, seven new contestants had arrived on the island: the first girl had long red hair and wore a pink ruffle-sleeved top with white, soft pink and blue polka-dots, yellow trim and a blue heart emblem with a puffy blue skirt that had a gold belt and blue heels; the second girl was considered to be the "bubbly blonde" of the group, who wore a teal strapless dress with pink stripes, a pink belt and pink shoes; the third girl had long, light brown hair and wore a pink and green shirt with matching shorts and pink shoes; the fourth girl had long, black pigtails and wore a long, red tanktop, blue shorts and red sneakers; the fifth girl had short pink hair and wore a purple shirt and matching skirt with light purple socks and pink shoes; the sixth girl had dark brown hair with light brown streaks and wore a white headband with lime and pink designs, a light green tank top underneath a pink and white shirt, green capri shorts with a pink belt and a pair of pink sneakers; and the seventh girl had long, pink hair with yellow tips and wore a pink shirt with a blue heart, green jeans and pink boots.
"Well, hello, Winx Club, it's good to see you girls again!" Bugs said as he walked up to the Winx Club and hugged Bloom, who smiled in response and hugged Bugs.
"Aw, thanks, Bugs!" Bloom said with a smile. "Y'know, it's been a while since we talked to each other."
"Well, I know that, Bloom," Bugs said with a shrug. "The Looney Tunes and I ended up encountering another group of magical girl warriors in recent times."
"I think I have a good idea of who that group might be ..." Flora said with a smirk as the Winx Club girls walked down the docks to speak with the other contestants.
Just as the Winx Club girls walked to the other contestants, another yacht had arrived at the end of the docks and dropped off two more contestants. The next two contestants were two beaver brothers, one who had light brown fur and another who had dark brown fur.
"Helloooo, Los Angeles!" Norbert said confidently.
"Your new champion-es have arrive-ed!" Daggett said in a similarly-confident tone with a hint of hamminess.
Following Norbert and Daggett's confident entrance on the island, Bugs just turned to the audience and coolly said while pointing at Norbert and Daggett, "Y'know, for two beavers, they sure do come off as a couple of hams."
Daggett seemed to be put off by Bugs' comment as he jumped up to the rabbit's face and said, "Eh, hams? What do you exactly mean by 'hams', Bugs?! We're beavers, ya know!"
Norbert then rushed to Bugs' defense and tried to calm his brother down as he said, "Hey, cool it, Dag! Listen, that was just a figure of speech—you know, a play on words."
"A play on words, huh?" Daggett said as he cooled down. "Eh, who would've guessed?"
As the beaver brothers made their way to the other end of the docks, another contestant had finally arrived on the island. This contestant had a white hat with bear ears wrapped around his head and wore a short-sleeved blue shirt, dark blue shorts, black socks, white socks and a green backpack. The teen looked around in amazement and said with a smirk, "Whoa ... this place looks a whole lot better than what they were describing in the brochure."
"Eh, what's up, Finn?" Bugs said while taking a bite from his carrot.
Finn then turned to see Bugs and walked up to him, giving him a fist-bump as he said, "Bugs, is that you? What's up? How'd you manage to get a hosting gig like this?"
"You know how it is, Finn," Bugs said with a smirk while shrugging his shoulders. "The fine folks of Warner Bros. decided to call yours truly to serve as the master of ceremonies for this series."
"Really? Well, I guess they made the right choice for this one," Finn said as he and Bugs exchanged high-fives. "I wonder how the other Looney Tunes have taken the news."
"Well, most of them did wish me luck on it, but I did hear from Granny that Warner Bros. did invite at least one of the Looney Tunes to appear on this show," Bugs explained. "I wonder which one of the Tunes will compete on this show, though ..."
"Personally speaking, I'm hoping that it's not the Tasmanian Devil," Finn said as he picked up his bags and walked down the docks to mingle with the other contestants.
As Finn walked over to the other contestants, Bugs took notice of a private jet dropping off two new contestants and their luggage. The first of the two new contestants was a teenage girl who had pink hair who had pink hair that had a daisy in it and wore a yellow dress with a white belt and white go-go boots; the second of the two new contestants was another teenage girl who had purple hair and wore a purple shirt with a skull at the center, a black skirt with purple leggings underneath, spiked wristbands and black boots.
"Heh, I guess you girls must be famous enough to have your own private jet drop you off here on Camp Wawanakwa," Bugs said in amazement as the two girls walked up to the rabbit.
"Hey, those are the perks that come with being a world famous rockstar," Yumi said with a smirk.
Bugs then turned to the audience and said, "Well, I guess that explains a lot, doesn't it?"
Ami and Yumi both looked at the Los Angeles counterpart of the original Camp Wawanakwa in complete amazement, then Ami said after a moment of silent amazement, "Okay, I must be dreaming, but this summer camp looks pretty amazing! Is this really where we are going to be staying or is this all an illusion?"
"This is the real deal, doctresses," Bugs said with a nod of his head. "No smoke and mirrors around here."
"Awesome!" Ami and Yumi said with smiles in unison as they both rushed down the docks to mingle with the other contestants.
Meanwhile, a group of eight teenage girls had finally arrived on the island, all of whom Bugs and the Looney Tunes had become accustomed to in recent times, who were secretly magical girl warriors just like the Winx Club. However, the girls came on the island as two different groups: the main five girls, all of whom were 16 years old, and the supporting three girls. The first of the main five girls was the leader of the team: she had blue eyes and long blonde hair she wore in an odango hairstyle, and wore a light blue short-sleeved hoodie, a white skirt, white socks and black shoes; the second girl had short, yet slightly long blue hair in a bob hairstyle and wore a white short-sleeved hoodie with light blue stripes, cream blue shorts, white socks and black shoes; the third girl had straight, long black hair with a purple shine and wore a light gray formal vest with a white short-sleeved sailor fuku with a dark red ribbon that was tied in the center, a gray skirt, white knee-high socks and black shoes; the fourth girl was considerably the tallest of the main five girls, she had wavy brown hair that was styled into a ponytail held up by a green hair tie and wore pink rose earrings, a black snapback hat, a sleeveless orange jacket with a yellow short-sleeved undershirt, pale blue shorts and sneakers; the fifth girl of the group had blonde hair, blue eyes and wore a big red bow in her hair, as well as a light purple short-sleeved shirt, lime green shorts, white socks and sneakers.
The other three girls, all of whom were slightly older than the main five girls, all followed behind the first five girls and the first of the trio was a young adult woman who had knee-length dark green hair that was in a bun at the top of her head and went all the way down to her hips as well as majestic, red-violet eyes; she also wore a white T-shirt underneath a short-sleeved lavender dress that went down to her ankles and a pair of lavender-white sneakers; the second girl of the trio had short, pale tan hair, dark blue eyes and wore a yellow formal suit jacket with a green short-sleeved undershirt and a golden cross necklace, matching yellow pants and black leather shoes; the third girl of the trio and the last of the eight girls had wavy teal hair that fell just past her shoulders and wore a dark red vest with a white short-sleeved sailor fuku underneath her vest, a green-and-black checkered skirt, white short socks and black shoes.
The appearance of the Sailor Guardians seemed to have the caught the attention of the Warner Brothers as they simultaneously said, "Hellooo, Magical Girl Nurses!"
Yakko and Wakko then rushed into the arms of Usagi and proceeded to kiss her cheeks, much to her surprise and the amusement of her friends. Usagi was initially flustered by the Warners, but she eventually warmed up to them as she giggled for a bit and said, "Easy, Yakko and Wakko! It's nice to see you two again!"
"Do you two always have to do this every time you see any beautiful women?" Rei asked Yakko and Wakko.
Yakko just shrugged his shoulders as he said to Rei, "Ehhh ... just call it a weakness, Rei."
While Bugs took notice of Yakko and Wakko's antics, he just turned to the audience and said to them in a sotto aside, "Personally, they should be lucky that it's the Warner Brothers who are giving them this much attention. I have a feeling that one of the upcoming contestants might try to flirt with all of the girls on this island."
Bugs then walked up to the Sailor Guardians, just as Yakko and Wakko finished kissing Usagi and walked back to the other end of the docks, then he said, "Anyway ... welcome to Camp Wawanakwa, ladies! I was thinking you girls weren't going to show up at any point."
"Oh, come on, Bugs, it's not like we were gonna miss this opportunity to win that $10 million prize!" Makoto said with a smile as she hugged Bugs. "Plus, we were in the mood of a much-needed vacation."
"Hey, at least you girls will get the opportunity to relax here on this island," Bugs said with a genuine smile. "Besides, consider this a 'thank you' gift for helping yours truly, Jimmy Butler, the Looney Tunes and the MonStars defeat the Witches 5 in that basketball game last year."
"Not to mention rescuing you guys from Swackhammer's clutches after he took the Tunes, Chibi-Usa and Hotaru for ransom!" Buster said from afar.
"Yeah, that, too," Bugs said while winking at the young buck.
"Speaking of which, have you heard from any of the MonStars lately?" Michiru asked curiously.
"Y'know, I haven't heard too much from them since April," Bugs said while shrugging his shoulders and taking a bite from his carrot. "However, I did get a chance to talk to Bupkus and he did say that he misses you and Haruka dearly, Michiru."
Michiru blushed in response as Haruka chuckled warmly and said, "I guess he still has a crush on Michiru, huh, Bugs?"
"What can I say? That Bupkus can be quite the charmer," Bugs said coolly.
Riley seemed to be confused by this as he whispered to Huey, "Wait a minute, since when did Bupkus start crushing on Michiru? Wasn't he dating another girl at one point?"
Huey just shrugged his shoulders as he said, "Maybe something changed since the last time we saw the MonStars, Riley."
"Strange, it felt like a long time ago, y'know?" Riley said.
Meanwhile, the Sailor Guardians decided to make themselves get acquainted with their fellow contestants on this new series, but all of a sudden, everyone was distracted by a loud and bombastic, yet very hammy voice saying, "HAHAHAHA! Inferior human scum! You all will not survive a single day on this new series after you have sensed the awesomeness of the almighty ruler that is Invader Zim!"
While everyone else was looking confused at the Irken invader, Bugs just coolly walked up to the Irken and said, "Zim, it's good to see ya, doc! Eh ... Zim, I hope you realize that the producers had chosen you because they felt the show needed some characters who are rather ... 'out of the ordinary', if ya know what I mean."
Upon hearing this comment from Bugs, Zim could only recoil in response as he could look at the rabbit nervously and stammer, "Huh?! Uh, wh-wh-what are you talking about, Bugs? I'm just as normal as everyone else around here!"
"Yeah, right, Zim! If you think you are normal compared to the Warner Brothers, you've got another thing coming!" said the next contestant, who was a teenage boy who had an incredibly large head and wore a pair of black glasses, a black cloak, a blue shirt, black pants and black shoes.
Zim then turned around and recognized the voice as he said, "Well, well, well ... if it isn't my arch-nemesis, Dib. What was the point of the producers inviting you to appear on this show? Don't you realize you are going to lose just as badly as you did in your encounters against me in our show?"
Dib could only roll his eyes and laugh in response to the Irken's bravado as an annoyed Zim said, "Eh, what are you laughing for, Dib? I DIDN'T SAY A SINGLE THING THAT WAS CONSIDERED TO BE FUNNY IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM!"
"Oh, Zim, you are just so delusional, aren't you?" Dib coolly said as he just shook his head, much to Zim's increased annoyance. "You won't even make it past the first two episodes of this thing. I just know it."
"Oh, really?! You wanna bet, you big-headed conspiracy theorist?!" Zim said as he got into Dib's face.
Dib then turned to the audience and said in a sotto aside, "'A big-headed conspiracy theorist'? Hmm, that's a new one."
Dib then turned back to Zim and said in a confident tone, "Alright, Zim, you're on!"
"Step aside, kiddies, why don't you make room for the next contestant of this show?" the next contestant said, who was revealed to be a blonde-haired muscleman who wore a signature pair of black sunglasses, a black shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
The muscleman proceeded to perform a series of flexes and moves to impress the ladies as he said, "For all of the mamacitas, have no fear; your number one charmer-for-hire—Hr! Ha! Huh!—Johnny Bravo, is here!"
Most of the girls seemed to be unimpressed by Johnny's moves, but he seemed to have some admirers in the forms of Usagi, Makoto and Minako, all of whom just sighed at the sight of Johnny ... much to the bewilderment of the other contestants.
"Man, just how shallow do you have to be to be impressed by a guy like him?" Cindy said while pointing at Johnny.
"Simple: just act like looks are the only thing that can help you get through life," Huey said without skipping a beat.
"Honestly, I could understand why Usagi and Minako would fall head over heels for Johnny Bravo, but why Makoto?" Yakko asked himself in a curious tone.
"This tends to be a recurring trend with her," Rei whispered to Yakko.
Yakko and Wakko both turned to Rei, then Wakko said, "Really? Why is that?"
"She often acts like the Serial Romeo of our group," Rei said. "She always references her old senpai whenever she is waxing nostalgia."
"Her senpai?" Yakko and Wakko asked in a confused tone.
"Her old boyfriend, basically," Ami said, clarifying Rei's statement.
As Johnny Bravo walked over to the other contestants and decided to mingle with them, another new contestant had arrived on the island: a female dog who wore a small pink shirt, red jeans, purple platform sandals and a black collar with a silver tag. She stepped off of the yacht while carrying her bags and stepped onto the docks, catching the attention of Yakko and Wakko.
"Well, Miss Brandy Harrington, it's nice to see that you've finally arrived on the show, looking beautiful as always," Bugs said with a smile.
Brandy could only sigh and give a small smile in response to Bugs' comment as she said, "I get that a lot, you know. Wait, I thought you said we were going to be staying at a five-star resort for this show."
"Eh, you realize this is a Los Angeles counterpart to Canada's Camp Wawanakwa, right?" Bugs said in a reassuring tone. "This is nothing like the one that was seen on Total Drama Island, so you have nothing to worry about."
"Well, at least this is better than being stuck in the jungle with that screwy rabbit."
"I take it you're not too fond of rabbits, huh?"
"Actually, I do like rabbits ... at least the ones who aren't anything like Mr. Whiskers, to say the least."
While Brandy carried her bags down to the other side of the docks, the next new contestant had arrived: she was a 17-year-old girl who had red hair and wore a green tank top, navy blue shorts and white sneakers.
"Hey, KP, it's good to see that you made it to the island," Bugs said as he and Kim exchanged high-fives.
"Hey, Bugs," Kim said with a smile. "Thanks for the invite to the show."
"Eh, it was nothin'," Bugs said with a smirk as he took a bite from his carrot. "Besides, it's the least I could do when you and Ron helped Daffy and I stop Marvin the Martian from using his Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator to blow up the Earth. Speaking of whom, where is Ron anyway?"
"Oh, he said he had some unfinished business at that secret ninja school ... well, either that or he wanted to engage in more training," Kim explained while shrugging her shoulders.
"Ah," Bugs said as he coolly nodded his head.
"Oh ... my ... gosh!" Jenny said as she rushed up to Kim. "You're Kim Possible, the girl who can do anything!"
Jenny was quickly joined by Usagi, Ami, Minako, Juniper, Bloom, Flora and even Courage as Kim hugged and exchanged high-fives with each of the contestants, saying, "Hey, it's always nice to see some of my friends and fans."
As if right on cue, another yacht stopped near the docks and dropped off five new contestants: the first was a teenage Frankenstein girl who had black hair with white stripes and wore a black-and-white dress and black shoes; the second contestant was a teenage vampire who had black hair with pink stripes and wore a pink-and-black dress and skirt, and pink shoes; the third contestant was a teenage werewolf who had brown hair and wore a purple leopard shirt with a black jacket, a purple-black skirt and purple; finally, the fourth and fifth contestants were both teenage mummies, the former of whom had long gold hair with black and blue stripes and wore a blue-black sleeveless shirt, blue-black pants and blue heels, whereas the latter had blue hair that was augmented with black and gold highlights and wore a light blue dress with a yellow belt and blue heels.
Bugs seemed surprised and amazed about the contestants in front of him, turning to the audience and saying in a sotto aside, "Well, I never thought there were some teenage versions of the classic Universal Monsters, but this is a first! I have a good feeling that they must've entered the Fountain of Youth."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever!" Nefera said as she walked past Bugs. "Can we just get this show on the road already or what?"
Cleo then walked up to Bugs and said with a sigh, "Sorry about that, Bugs, she tends to think before she speaks."
"She's your older sister?" Bugs asked.
Cleo nodded her head in response as Bugs whispered to her, "Between you and me, I genuinely feel sorry for you, kid."
While the Monster High girls walked down to the other side of the docks, another yacht had dropped off another new contestant, who was a 13-year-old male who had blue hair and wore an orange-brown beanie that had a skull at the center, a long-sleeved white T-shirt underneath a sleeveless black shirt, orange-brown shorts and blue-white sneakers.
"Well, I see that young rockstar Corey Riffin has finally arrived!" Bugs said as Corey stepped off of the yacht in style, carrying his luggage while walking up to the famed Looney Tunes rabbit to exchange high-fives with him.
"Hey, Bugs, what's up?" Corey said.
"Ready to get into the nitty-gritty of this new series and see which of these Toons will win that sweet $10 million," Bugs said. "Are you ready for this competition?"
"Oh, you know it, Bugs! I can't wait to win that $10 million for the band back home!"
"Well, hold on there, doc," Bugs said as he motioned to the direction of the other contestants. "In order to win the prize, you have to make sure you last longer than any of these other characters on this show."
"Hmm ... it looks like I have some stiff competition, but it shouldn't be too much of a challenge," Corey said with a smirk while shrugging. "As long as my supremely-crazy drama queen of a sister isn't on this season."
"Oh, that's where you're wrong, LOSER!" a female voice said from the yacht, much to the surprise of Corey.
As another yacht pulled up by the end of the docks, a 16-year-old girl stepped out of the yacht, who had pink hair that stopped at her shoulders and braces, and wore a white shirt, purple skirt, pink tights, white socks and a pair of Mary Jane shoes.
"Well, I guess I stand corrected," Corey said as he rolled his eyes.
"Enemy of yours, doc?" Bugs asked curiously.
"Not exactly, she's my older sister, Trina," Corey said with an embarrassed sigh.
"So, Corey, I guess appearing on this show is just another one of your lamebrain ideas to make a statement for your loser bandmates back at home?" Trina mockingly said to her brother.
"Yeah, I'll make it further in this competition than you'll realize," Corey said with a smirk.
"Oh, you really think so? Well, you better be ready to eat those words if I make it to the finals, all while I trample over you and the rest of these cartoon dorks for the $10 million grand prize!"
Some of the contestants recoiled at Trina's statement as Riley said in an indignant tone, "Wait a minute, did she just call us 'dorks'?"
"At least I know who is going to be voted off earlier than intended," Makoto said in a dark tone.
"Ed, Edd and Eddy haven't even appeared on this show yet, but we already have a 'Dorks!' reference?" Daggett said.
"Yeah, well not if I make it to the finals first," Corey said in a confident tone.
"Oh, we'll just see about that, geekzilla."
As Corey and Trina walked to the other contestants, Yakko took notice of Trina and turned to the audience as he said, "Well, folks, I can definitely say who is going to become our new 'Special Friend'."
Meanwhile, a 16-year-old African-American male was making his way to the island by riding on a electric circuit board while carrying his luggage. This contestant had a dreadlock hairstyle and wore a yellow shirt with orange sleeves, maroon jeans and white sneakers. Just as this contestant made his way to the island, he easily landed his board near Bugs as he stepped off of the circuit board and engaged in a friendly fist-bump with the rabbit just as Bugs said, "Well, what do you know, folks? It looks like Static Shock has finally made the scene!"
"Hey, that's how you make an entrance, Bugs," Virgil said with confidence as he walked to the other contestants.
Riley looked real excited when he saw the one and only Static Shock in person as he walked up to him and gave him a high-five, saying, "Oh-ho-ho-ho, yo! The O.G. Static Shock is in the house! You ready to win that $10 million prize?"
"You know it, little guy," Virgil said as he gave Riley a friendly fist-bump. "Ready for some good competition."
Meanwhile, two new contestants were just stepping off of a yacht that had arrived on the island: the first new contestant was a tall bluejay and the second was a short, brown racoon.
"Hey, Mordecai and Rigby! Welcome to the show, fellas!" Bugs said as he exchanged high-fives with Mordecai and Rigby.
"Thanks, Bugs, I can't wait to win that big cash prize!" Mordecai said with confidence. "There's like a million things I could buy with that money."
"You mean, like a new relationship?" Rigby said in a playful tone.
"Yeah, like a new rela—" Mordecai began to say until he stopped and realized what Rigby just said, leading to the bluejay delivering a punch to his friend's shoulder.
"OW! What was that for, dude?! I was just kidding!" Rigby said in a defensive tone.
"Oh, sorry, dude, I thought I saw a bug on your shoulder or something," Mordecai said, trying to brush off the punch he just administered to Rigby.
"Yeah ... okay," Rigby said as he and Mordecai walked up to the other contestants.
Meanwhile, another yacht pulled up and three 16-year-olds stepped out while carrying their luggage: the first was a male blonde who wore a skull cap, a beige shirt with a long-sleeved black shirt underneath, dark blue shorts and black sneakers; the second was an African-American male who had a dreadlock hairstyle and wore a crimson hoodie, beige pants and white-blue sneakers; and the third was a female brunette who wore a pale purple hoodie, a white skirt with purple stripes on the side and white sneakers.
"Alright, back to the introductions, let's welcome Jude, Jen and Wyatt!" Bugs said, motioning to the three 16-year-old contestants.
"Hey, Bugs," Jude said as he and Bugs exchanged high-fives. "Loved that basketball movie you did with Michael Jordan."
"Eh, thanks, doc," Bugs said in a tone of genuine appreciation and surprise. "Y'know, I'm kinda surprised that Space Jam managed to leave such a cultural impact the way it did."
"What makes you say that, dude?" Jude asked curiously.
"Well ... I just thought it would be seen as just a generic period piece from the '90s because that was made at the time when Michael Jordan was the face of the NBA," Bugs explained. "Not to mention the soundtrack, which featured tons of people who were really prominent around that time, though most of them have grown to be legends today—Jay Z, R. Kelly, Busta Rhymes, etc., etc."
"Well, hey, you always have to expect the unexpected," Jude said while shrugging his shoulders. "Besides, what happens next might surprise you in the future."
Suddenly, from up in the sky, Bugs and the contestants noticed that the WOOHP private jet was descending to the end of the docks, carrying Sam, Clover and Alex, the top three spies of the WOOHP corporation. As the girls stepped out of the private jet, they used their respective X-Powders to switch into their civilian clothes. Sam was a girl who had long red hair and wore a blue dress and pink heels; Clover was a girl who had blonde hair and wore a red shirt, pink pants and red shoes; and Alex was the youngest of the trio who had black hair and wore a yelow shirt, purple skirt and purple boots. Bugs took notice of the three spies and said with a smile, "Nice entrance for a trio of spies; welcome to the show, Sam, Clover and Alex!"
"Thanks, Bugs, we're so stoked to be here," Clover said with a smile. "Y'know, I'm kinda surprised that you were going to be the host of this show."
"Really? Why is that?" Bugs asked while raising an eyebrow.
"Well ... I thought you would've been hosting something bigger than a show like this," Clover said while shrugging her shoulders.
"Ah, I see," Bugs said. "Well, it's the least I could do on behalf of the folks at Warner Brothers. Besides, they requested my services to host this series, so—with some stipulations I laid down before we started shooting—I had to step up to the challenge."
"Oh, please, Bugs, they should've asked me to host this show over such an uncouth character like you," another voice said, revealed to be a brown coyo—wait a minute, scratch that, a brown super-GENIUS coyote.
Bugs rolled his eyes in response as he said with a heated sigh, "Oh, brother ... welcome to the show, Wile E. Coyote."
Wile E. Coyote stepped off of the yacht as Sam, Clover and Alex walked to where the other contestants were standing. Wile E. then pulled out his card and gave it to Bugs as he said, "Do you always have to give me your business card every time we encounter each other?"
"Well, Bugs, it's better to make sure you are always aware of my super-genius ways ... in case you forget one day," Wile E. said as he walked to where the other contestants were standing.
Bugs just rolled his eyes again as he put the card in his pocket and said to the audience, "Oh, brother, the more I encounter the super-genius version of Wile E. over the years, the more braggadocious he gets."
Luckily, for Bugs, the next two contestants were nothing like the super-genius coyote as they were two members of Sector V from the Kids Next Door, both of whom were 10 years old: the first one was a male who had a bald head and wore black sunglasses, a red long-sleeved shirt, beige shorts and brown shoes, and the second one was an African-American female who had black hair braided into a ponytail and wore a red baseball cap, a blue shirt with white stripes and white sneakers.
"Well, Numbahs 1 and 5, welcome to Camp Wawanakwa!" Bugs said to the two Kids Next Door operatives. "Can't wait to see how you two are going to liven things up around here with the competition."
Both Numbahs 1 and 5 looked at the competition Bugs mentioned to them as Numbah 1 turned to Numbah 5 and said, "I honestly don't know about this place, Numbah 5. It's literally crawling with teenagers."
Numbah 5 just said in a reassuring tone to Numbah 1, "Oh, come on, Numbah 1, you gotta play it cool. Besides, I'm sure they all came here for the purposes of going on summer vacation. After all, some of these teens around here look like they don't even know about how the teens treat us in our universe."
"I guess so," Numbah 1 said with a sigh. "I just hope we make it far enough in this competition to win that $10 million grand prize for the Kids Next Door."
"What do you think we are going to do with all of that money anyway, Numbah 1?" Numbah 5 asked.
"I haven't thought about it yet," Numbah 1 said. "Hopefully, something comes up as the show goes on."
Just as Numbah 1 and Numbah 5 joined the other contestants, everyone took notice of the yacht that was making its way to the end of the docks as they all heard a voice say, "All aboard the money train, Camp Wawanakwa! Your true Season 1 champions have finally arrived!"
Bugs took notice of who was on the yacht and saw that it was three boys who were coming from the cul-de-sac. The first of the group was the tallest of the three boys, who wore a green jacket on top of a red and white-striped shirt, blue jeans and black shoes; the second one was of average height, who wore a ski hat, a red shirt, purple shorts, red socks and blue shoes; and the third was the shortest of the trio and the self-proclaimed 'leader', who had three hairs sticking out on top of his head and wore a yellow shirt with a purple collar and a red stripe on the right side, blue pants and red shoes. Two of the boys stepped off of the yacht in style, but the other one was busy carrying a refrigerator.
"No introductions are necessary, Bugs," Eddy said proudly as he shook hands with the rabbit. "You can save all of the pleasantries for the end of the season when the guys and I are in the final three! Right, Ed?"
"Yep, because pedigrees are best reserved for the doggies of the world, Eddy," Ed said blankly, leading to an annoyed stare from Eddy.
Eddy then turned to Double D carrying the refrigerator from the yacht, then Double D said as he caught up with his two friends, "Riddle me this, Eddy, why did you want us to carry a refrigerator with us for the show? I have a feeling you two might not get a chance to use it if Bugs decides to put us on separate teams again."
"Ah, get real, Double D!" Eddy said, waving off the possibility. "Besides, it's an updated version of this Total Warners Island stuff. I highly doubt the writer of this thing would let us be on separate teams again, right?"
Double D could only sigh in response as he said, "Eddy, I hope you realize what I meant when I told you to never over-promise anything in this world."
While Eddy and Ed decided to mingle with the other contestants, Double D was still struggling with the refrigerator, causing him to yell out to Ed and Eddy, "You know, a little help would always be appreciated, gentlemen!"
Bugs was going to step up and help Double D carry the fridge, but Juniper and Virgil walked over to the ski hat-wearing Ed boy as Juniper said, "Hey, Double D, I hope you don't mind if we helped you carry this thing down the docks."
"Oh, no, I don't mind," Double D said with a smile. "Thank you, Ms. ... uh, what's your name?"
"Oh, my name is Juniper Lee, but you can call me 'June'," Juniper said with a smile.
"The name's Virgil, Virgil Hawkins," Virgil said as he gave a friendly fist-bump to Double D.
"Pleased to meet you two," Double D said. "My name is Eddward with two D's, but you can call me Double D if you want."
As June, Virgil and Double D carried the fridge down the docks, June took notice of Double D, Ed and Eddy, then she thought to herself, "I don't know what it is, but those guys seem really familiar to me."
Eventually, the celebrity guest yacht had arrived and a 21-year-old African American male stepped onto the island. This 21-year-old had a dreadlock hairstyle akin to Virgil Hawkins and wore a short-sleeved red hoodie, black shorts and white sneakers. Bugs walked up to the 21-year-old and shook hands with him as he said, "Ah, Mr. Darius Magnificent, it's nice to see the new executive producer take some time out from his busy schedule to visit the cast."
"Well, I just came down here to make sure nothing is too out of the ordinary on this show," Darius explained, then he looked around for a bit and turned back to Bugs, saying, "Just between you and me, I had mixed feelings when it came to serving as the executive producer of this project."
"Really? Why is that?" Bugs asked curiously.
"Honestly, I initially thought about turning it down because I thought it was going to be hosted by Chris McLean and, while I understand that the man has served as the host of the Total Drama series since the beginning, I wouldn't even bother putting my name on a show that had a confirmed sadist who started acting like he just stepped out of the looney bin and takes it out on the characters who had nothing to do with his downfall," Darius explained.
"You sure you weren't just talking about Daffy when you were saying the last part of your sentence?" Bugs said while raising an eyebrow.
Darius could only snicker in response as he cleared his throat and said, "Anyway, Bugs, you see where I'm coming from here? So, I guess you could understand why I feel comfortable seeing that you would be the host of this show because you wouldn't resort to those same levels of depravity, right?"
"That depends," Bugs said. "How long you think this show will run?"
Darius could only shrug his shoulders as he said, "Who knows? Depends on how well this first season does with the audience ... and how much the cast enjoys it."
Darius then took notice of the cast of characters who were chosen for this series and said in amazement, "Wow, Bugs, I see the folks at Warner Bros. decided to bring in some serious star power for the first season of this show. How did you manage to get in contact with Sailor Moon and her friends anyway?"
"Eh, we've been close friends for a few years now," Bugs said. "Plus, I decided to give them a 'thank you' gift for helping us win that basketball game against the Witches 5 last year."
"Ah, I see," Darius said as he pulled out a digital camera and handed it to Bugs. "So, Bugs, what do you say we get a group photo of the cast?"
"You read my mind, D.M.," Bugs said as he called for everyone to gather for the group photo. "Okay, gang, stand at the end of the docks, so gather around and strike a pose!"
The contestants all got into their signature poses and all looked into the camera. Bugs and Darius were both smiling as Bugs said, "Alright, everyone, it's time for the big shot! On the count of three, everybody say 'Warner Brothers'! Alright, one ... two ... three!"
"Warner Broth—WHOA!" The contestants all said as Bugs snapped the picture.
Once Bugs took the picture, he decided to show Darius the photo he just took, but Darius noticed that most of the contestants, aside from Jenny, Virgil, the Sailor Guardians and the Winx, were all drenched in the water. Bugs finally realized this as he said, "Wait a minute, what the? How did the dock just break like that?"
"Don't look at me, Bugs, I had nothing to do with this," Darius said while shaking his head.
Soon, both Bugs and Darius turned to see it was actually Daffy Duck who pulled the prank on the unsuspecting contestants. Bugs could only roll his eyes in response as he said, "Daffy, how did you manage to get on this show? You weren't even a contestant!"
"I know, Bugs, I know, but come on!" Daffy said as he smirked at the rabbit and the 21-year-old producer. "Can't a duck have some semblance of fun on a show like this, even if it's just for a quick cameo appearance? Whoo-hoo! Hoo-hoo-hoo!"
While Daffy was bouncing around like a maniac, Bugs decided to push the duck into the water while he was in his own little world, much to the amusement of the contestants. However, Daffy seemed unfazed by this as he said to Bugs, "Ah, you don't have to worry about me messing around on a show like this, Bugs. Besides, I'm just a crazy, darn-fool duck! Whoo-hoo! Whoo-hoo! Whoo-hoo-hoo!"
Suddenly, Daffy started bouncing around again and left Camp Wawanakwa playing around in the water. Bugs just gave a look of annoyance for a moment, then he chuckled warmly as he said, "Oh, that Daffy, he sure will find a way to liven things up on any animated program he appears in."
Darius laughed warmly as well as he looked at the contestants and said, "Alright, everyone, dry yourselves off and meet us at the campfire pit in a few minutes!"
Moments later, the contestants were sitting in the campfire pit while Bugs started to address the contestants, saying, "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome ... to Camp Wawanakwa, your new home for the next couple of weeks. Basically, the overall DNA of this series will be the same as what you may have seen in the six seasons of Total Drama and the parody series, Toon Marooned—old series, long story. Anyway, the characters around you will be your cabinmates, your competition—heck, maybe even your friends and allies. The contestant who manages to outlast the others on this show—without getting voted off even once—will win $10,000,000 by the end of this season!"
The contestants all exchanged looks of amazement and interest as Bugs turned to the audience and said, "Eh, what can I say? It's Warner Brothers."
"Hey, Bugs, what are the sleeping arrangements going to be like?" Yakko said in a sly fashion as he rushed over to Rei. "I wouldn't mind bunking under one of these beautiful ladies around here."
Rei looked rather flustered about Yakko's advances as she said to Bugs, "Uh ... the cabins aren't co-ed, are they?"
"Nah, of course not," Bugs said in a reassuring tone. "The girls get to have one side of the cabin, the guys will get the other."
Bugs then pulled out a list of the teams as he said, "Alright, when I call your name, stand on the left side of me because you will be forming the first team of this show: Babs, Buster, Yakko, Wakko, Usagi, Rei, Haruka, Michiru, Clover, Norbert, Stella, Tecna, Wile E., Cleo, Nefera, Draculaura, Ami, Yumi, Numbah 5, Zim, Trina, Riley, Cindy, Johnny, Billy, Mandy, Layla, Roxy, Ed and Eddy."
Once the aforementioned contestants stood on Bugs' left side, Bugs picked up a large flag and passed it to Wakko, who unraveled the flag to reveal a picture of the Road Runner as Bugs declared, "From this moment on, you will be officially known as ... the Zooming Road Runners!"
"Well, what do you know? I'm a Road Runner!" Wakko said with a smile.
"As for the rest of you, when I call your name, stand to my right because you will be forming the second team of the series," Bugs said as he read another list of names. "Bloom, Double D, Virgil, Mordecai, Rigby, Courage, Frankie, Clawdeen, Musa, Flora, Brandy, Jenny, Dib, Jen, Finn, Grim, Wyatt, Sam, Alex, Ami M., Makoto, Minako, Setsuna, Jude, Huey, Corey, Kim, Juniper, Numbah 1 and Daggett."
Bugs then picked up another flag and passed it to Bloom, who then unraveled the flag to reveal pictures of Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny standing around the famous Warner Bros. logo as Bugs declared, "From this episode onward, you all will be officially known as the Looney Screwballs!"
Bugs then turned to the audience and said, "Redundant, I know, but we had to come up with something!"
Bugs then turned to the contestants and said, "Alright, folks, if you have any semblance of passing knowledge regarding these reality shows or if you have any genuine idea of what 'medium awareness' means, I'm sure you all realize you will be filmed all over this camp."
"I assume we will be filmed in a confessional, right?" Haruka asked while raising an eyebrow.
"Of course! Two of said confessional trailers are located near the mess hall and ceremony site, and another one is located near the trailers—for what reason, I don't know," Bugs explained, pointing out three of the aforementioned confessional trailers. "In each of these trailers, you will be able to share your innermost thoughts on tape through these video diaries. Y'know, giving you a chance to let the audience know what you're thinking or just get something off of your chest. Go ahead and give it a whirl!"
(Confession Cam: Where your thoughts are revealed to the public and the show's budget is being drained)
Babs: "You know, I was having some mixed feelings about competing on this show because Buster, Plucky and I tend to make a lot of jokes about how cheesy and ridiculous these reality shows are. Now, here I am, getting ready to compete in one while Plucky is going to make jokes about Buster and myself! Well, I hope it'll all work out in the end."
Grim: "Alright, I know what you folks at home are thinking: 'how did Grim get stuck in a lifelong friendship with Billy and Mandy'? Well, 17 years ago, I challenged those two to a little wager that would've had the life of Billy's pet hamster at stake. However, they managed to one-up me in a game of limbo by using that little rascal against me, so I'm stuck being their best friend forever. However, we did come up with a little bet before arriving on the island: If I beat them or even last longer than either of them, I shall regain my freedom! Be prepared, Underworld, the Grim Reaper will be back in full force sooner than you know it!"
Ami M.: "It's nice that Bugs decided to invite us on this show as a gift for helping him and his friends in that intergalactic basketball game against the Witches 5, though I am rather cautious about how Makoto, Minako, Setsuna and I will fare on this show, seeing as how Usagi, Rei, Haruka and Michiru are all on the opposing team. Well, at least some of the characters on our team seem rather friendly. That little pink dog looked kinda cute."
Double D: "This should be a rather invigorating experience for all parties involved, but I'm surprised I still managed to be on a separate team from Ed and Eddy. I have a feeling Eddy might be more miffed at the fact that Bugs considered the refrigerator to be Looney Screwballs property."
Eddy: "I don't know how this still happened in this updated version, but it must be some sort of tradition for the writers of these Total Drama crossover fics to have Ed and I on the same team, while Double D is separated from the both of us. Ah, at least I came up with an alliance with Ed and Double D before we came here. I can't wait to get that $10 million grand prize if I make it far enough! Maybe I should keep my promise to Double D and buy him a new hat ... I hope Ed doesn't ask for gravy if Double D or I end up as the winner ..."
Numbah 1: "Well, here we are: the first episode. Numbah 5 and I have successfully infiltrated this new animated television program, so we can commence our plan to take it down from within ... Maybe that was something I shouldn't have said ..."
Jenny: "I can't believe it! I'm so excited to get far in this competition! Mom, Brad, Tuck, Sheldon, I made it on TV!"
Pesto: "Hey, I'm not even playing a role in this stupid series! What am I even doing here? Squit, did you have something to do with this?!"
"Alright, docs and doctresses, allow me to introduce you to your new living conditions for the next couple of weeks," Bugs said as he led the contestants to two medium-size cabins.
After walking a short distance, the contestants finally made it to their cabins as Bugs said to them, "Road Runners, you all will be staying in the east cabin; Looney Screwballs, you guys have the west cabin."
As both teams walked up to their respective cabins, Bugs then explained to the contestants, "Oh, and, as you can see, the interns have brought your luggage to your respective cabins, so feel free to walk inside and get yourselves unpacked. Make yourselves comfortable and meet us in the mess hall in a few minutes."
(Road Runners' cabin)
As soon as the contestants tried to get comfortable in their new cabins, Trina and Numbah 5 tried to enter the girls' side of the Road Runners' cabin at the same time, but they got stuck while doing so.
"Hey, don't you think you coud watch where you're going, girl?" Numbah 5 said as she tried to push her way into the cabin.
"No! Now, get out of my way, you little snot-nosed brat!" Trina snapped.
"Oh, a 'snot-nosed brat', huh? As if I didn't hear that one before," Numbah 5 said in a half-annoyed, half-sarcastic tone.
The two continued to push and shove each other until Usagi ended up forcing them through the door, bumping into them unintentionally.
"Oops, sorry about that, girls," Usagi said as she chuckled nervously. "How about I help you two up from—"
Trina then slapped Usagi's hand away from her as she stormed to her bed while saying, "Don't touch me, you rabbit-headed dork!"
Cindy walked inside to see what the commotion was all about, then she turned to the other girls and asked, "Yo, what's up with the hormonal pink-haired chick?"
"Don't look at me, girlfriend," Numbah 5 said while shrugging. "I just bumped into her."
On the boys' side of the cabin, things were running a bit smoothly as the guys were getting settled into their bunk beds. Eddy was busy relaxing in his own bed, drinking a cool bottle of soda as he said, "Yep, this is the life, huh, boys? An entire summer vacation full of sun, fun ... and endless scamming."
"Ehhh ... I hate to burst your bubble, Eddy, but how do you plan to pull off these scams?" Yakko said. "You know, most of our time is going to be used for competing in these challenges Bugs has in store for us, right?"
"Yeah, yeah, I know that, Yakko," Eddy said, then he rushed up to the Warner Brother and smirked at hiim, saying, "However, you know that most of these guys and girls around here have some major dinero on them, so why not liven things up by creating a couple of scams around here?"
"Hmph, I know that's going to be tough on your part, Eddy," Riley said as he settled into his bed, listening to his iPod. "Besides, your main man Double D is on the opposing team and he was considerably the brains of the outfit."
"Ah, I'm sure we'll still do well without Double D for the time being," Eddy said. "Besides, I've still got Ed right here and, once we make it to the merge, the Amazing Eduardo Brothers will be back in business, baby!"
Yakko and Riley just exchanged looks of confusion as Wakko popped in and said, "I hope he isn't planning on coming up with that circus show scam again ..."
(Screwballs' cabin)
Meanwhile, with the Looney Screwballs, things were actually getting off to an easier start, compared to what was happening with one-half of the Zooming Road Runners, as the guys were getting situated into their own beds.
"Okay, seriously, what made you think the soul of a sick hamster was worth putting your freedom on the line to become friends with two mere children?" Dib asked Grim, who was busy unpacking.
"It ... was a fatal flaw on my part, Dib," Grim said with a sigh. "I should've put such high stakes on my freedom, just for a kid's pet hamster that would ultimately be used against me ..."
"Sounds like fate has played a cruel joke on you in that one, Grim," Mordecai said.
"Trust me, Mordecai, that was only the beginning ..." Grim said under his breath.
On the girls' side, things were more relaxed and civilized as the girls were unpacking quietly while engaging in some idle chit-chat.
Soon, Bugs eventually walked up in front of the cabins, then he said, "Alright, ladies and gentlemen, if you have finished unpacking, meet in the mess hall for your first meal of the season."
"ALRIGHT, EVERYBODY, LISTEN UP!"
A tall, muscular Caucasian with a cornrow hairstyle wearing a chef's outfit, combined with the unmistakable voice of Samuel L. Jackson, was standing behind the counter. While looking at the contestants, he began to address them, saying, "This is the food that will be served to you while you stay here at Camp Wawanakwa! I make this delicious food three times a day and you will eat it three times a day! So, grab a tray, get your food and sit your butts down NOW!"
The contestants actually became aware of the food that was going to be served to them, which was basically a bowl of lumpy oatmeal, leading to Trina saying, "Ugh! Like, there's no way I'm eating this loser food!"
"Y'know, I gotta agree with the mean girl here," Eddy said. "Couldn't you have ordered a pizza or something to that effect?"
However, the response Eddy ended up getting was Gin Rummy grabbing him by his shirt and saying, "Listen, three hairs, I will get to making the good food once y'all start getting comfortable! For now, either you eat this lumpy oatmeal or you will get nothing for dinner tonight!"
Eddy just gulped and chuckled nervously as he said, "Uh ... on second thought, I wouldn't mind eating this lumpy oatmeal."
"Same here," Trina said in a frightened tone.
(Confessional Cam: Front-row seat for high-budget thoughts)
Eddy: "Sheesh, that Gin Rummy guy has such an attitude. Kinda reminds me of me ... scratch that, my big bro. It just freaks me out if I think about it more. Wait a minute, how did I know his name was Gin Rummy?"
Trina: "Man, that guy's a total freak! I need to hurry up and create an alliance that I could take with me to the Final 5! I think I know who I can use as a team co-captain ..."
Just as the contestants were being served the oatmeal by Gin Rummy, Wyatt said under his breath, "Sheesh! How can anyone eat this stuff?"
"Well, at least it looks somewhat better than what they have Chef Hatchet cook the contestants on Total Drama Island," Buster said with a smirk.
Much to the surprise and disgust of the contestants, Ed actually ate two bowls of Gin Rummy's oatmeal as he said, "Yum! This stuff isn't so bad once you get used to it, guys."
"At least someone around here appreciates the oatmeal," Gin Rummy said with a smile.
Eddy and Double D just looked on in surprise as they saw their friend eat a second helping of the oatmeal as Double D said with a small smile, "Leave it to Ed to go overboard on the first day by eating whatever they serve him. The lovable oaf ..."
"Hey, Double D, how are things going with your new teammates?" Eddy said.
"To be honest, Eddy, things have been going pretty smoothly," Double D said. "I've already gotten close to two of my teammates earlier."
"Really? Who are they?" Eddy asked curiously.
"Oh, Juniper Lee and Virgil Hawkins," Double D said.
"Juniper Lee? Why does she sound so familiar to me?" Eddy said while rubbing his chin. "Wait a minute! Double D, isn't she the girl who—"
Before Eddy could finish his sentence, Ed jumped in between the two and said, "Are you sure you guys don't want a second helping of Gin Rummy's oatmeal? It's actually delicious!"
"Thank you, Ed, but I'm content with the current serving I have, thank you," Double D said with a smile.
Suddenly, Ed and Eddy felt themselves being dragged away by Nefera, who said, "Uh, excuse me, boys, but we can't fraternize with the enemy!"
"Hey, my friend Double D is not a type of fat!" Ed said in a defensive tone.
"She said 'fraternize', stupid," Eddy whispered to Ed.
"Sure am, Eddy," Ed said with a blank smile.
Double D just stood there, confused as to what just happened, then he walked over to where his teammates were sitting as he said, "Best not to question this, I suppose."
(Confessional Cam: Insert sarcastic one-liner here)
Eddy: "I don't get it. Why did Nefera have such an issue with Ed and I just talking to Double D? Since when did we start setting boundaries on this stu—who am I kidding? This is reality television! I should be savvy about this stuff by now."
Once the contestants got situated at their respective tables, sitting with their teammates, Trina then approached Nefera and said, "Hey, Nefera?"
"Oh, hey, you must be, uh ... Trina, right?" Nefera said.
"Yeah," Trina said while nodding her head. "Listen, I want to form an alliance, four people I wanna take to the final five. I want to join and serve as the team co-captain."
Nefera could only smirk at the possibility as she said, "Really? Well, it looks like someone is ready to prove her worth to the other losers around here. So, who else did you have in mind?"
"Well, I was thinking about getting that ski hat-wearing kid and that cowardly dog, but they are on the other team," Trina said.
"What would be the point of getting those two?" Nefera said. "They're practically the weakest links on their team!"
"Yeah, yeah, I know," Trina said. "Hmm ... maybe we should see if we could recruit that blonde fairy princess, your sister and that other blonde girl."
"Oh, I hope you're not talking about that Cindy McPhearson girl!" Nefera said in a melodramatic tone.
"No, of course not!" Trina said in a reassuring tone while shaking her head. "I'm talking about Mandy!"
"Good, you really had me going there," Nefera said. "So, when do you wanna try and recruit the three girls?"
"Wait until the next challenge after the first one," Trina said as a devious smirk appeared on her face. "I want it to be a surprise ..."
"Excellent," Nefera said as a similarly-devious smirk appeared on her face.
(Confessional Cam: The animated counterpart to Regina George's diary from Mean Girls)
Nefera: "Y'know, I actually like this Trina girl. She's actually got a lot of moxie and a good sense of attitude. Maybe I'll be willing to ride this alliance thing for a while and see where it really takes us."
Trina: "Perfect! One down, three more to go."
"Damn, man, I know I'm cool with Rummy and all, but this is seriously the best he could do?" Riley said as he examined the oatmeal.
"Who knows? Maybe the food will actually get better," Yakko said.
Eventually, Bugs walked into the mess hall and said, "Eh, what's up, docs and doctresses? How's the first day in the mess hall?"
"Seriously, Bugs, you couldn't have told Rummy to order a pizza for our first day?" Minako said.
"Really?! I have all of this great food just begging to be cooked and you guys are still hung up on this oatmeal?" Rummy said in an indignant tone.
"Cool your jets, Rummy! Besides, I told you to give them something delicious for their first day, not something that was generic!" Bugs said.
"Ah, what do you know, Bugs?" Rummy said as he went into the kitchen.
"Anyway, folks, once you finish your food, go back to your cabins and take a 30-45 minute break, then meet me up at the mountains in your swim attire for your first challenge of the season," Bugs said.
Moments later, the contestants were standing on top of a cliff in their bathing suits, looking down to see their first challenge in front of them.
Bugs took note of the mixed reactions of the contestants, then he turned to the audience and said, "Eh, I think you folks better wait for Part 2 ... I think I gotta wait for the contestants to make sense of this situation."
"That's all, folks!"
Chapter 1 Completed
Well, this was the longest chapter I had written since ... whenever I actually had to write a long chapter. All jokes aside, the DNA of the series will be the same as before, but there will be some changes: the Inner and Outer Sailor Guardians from Sailor Moon, Cindy McPhearson from The Boondocks and Finn the Human from Adventure Time will be competing in this version, taking the places of Dot Warner, Dexter, Blossom, Bubbles, Penny Proud, Rocko Wallaby, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester J. Pussycat and Sabrina Spellman; the runner-up of this season will receive a consolation prize for their efforts at the end of the season; the characters will be in character for the most part, but they will slowly change as the story progresses; and the elimination order will be different compared to the original version of this fanfic. Another note: due to these new changes, the other chapters will receive an update to reflect the changes in this version.
Also, here are the lineups for both of the teams for the first season:
Zooming Road Runners: Babs, Buster, Yakko, Wakko, Usagi, Rei, Haruka, Michiru, Clover, Norbert, Stella, Tecna, Wile E., Cleo, Nefera, Draculaura, Ami, Yumi, Numbah 5, Zim, Trina, Riley, Cindy, Johnny, Billy, Mandy, Layla, Roxy, Ed, Eddy
Looney Screwballs: Bloom, Double D, Virgil, Mordecai, Rigby, Courage, Frankie, Clawdeen, Musa, Flora, Brandy, Jenny, Dib, Jen, Finn, Grim, Wyatt, Sam, Alex, Ami M., Makoto, Minako, Setsuna, Jude, Huey, Corey, Kim, Juniper, Numbah 1, Daggett
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter of this series and there will be more to come in the near future!
