Violin

It was quiet all around until suddenly. Prussia hopped through the window and did a dramatic pose.

"Specs! The Awesome-Me has-!" Prussia stopped and looked around the empty room, "-arrived."

Prussia glanced around the room, surprised, and the at the Austrian's piano; he looked at his wrist watch. One on the dot. Austria was always playing his piano at the one, when the sun would be on his back from the window and his music was lit.

Prussia huffed and ran his fingers through his hair with a pout. "Well this is un-awesome," he muttered annoyed.

Suddenly, Prussia's eyes landed on Austria's violin, a rare sight. Austria usually hid it after Prussia had accidently broken the last one trying to kill a monster rat (tiny mouse). Prussia looked around to assure himself before walking over to it and stroking the strings; how he'd love to play a piece.

Why not? Austria and Hungary weren't home so no one would hear him. With that reassurance, Prussia lifted the violin to his chin and put the bow on the strings.

Austria sighed tiredly as he dragged his feet through the house; his boss had called him in for a stupid reason and right before his Music Hour! Now Austria was free though, he would march into that room, sit at his piano, play Mozart and Beethoven and he would not let Prussia stop him.

Austria paused outside the room in surprise; someone was playing a violin, probably his. He listened closer and with glee realized it was the 'Flight of the Bumblebee'; the musician was going exceptionally fast, the fastest he's ever heard, and was playing it very well. Though it was amazing, the violin sounded lonely; it needed a partner.

Determined to play with this person, Austria opened the door and froze in shock; it was Prussia! Prussia had his eyes closed and was swaying as he played the fast tempo; unaware of the Austrian watching him. Soon the piece was done and Prussia relaxed his tense posture before he began to pant; he couldn't help but hold his breath when he played 'Flight of the Bumblebee'.

"You play?" Austria asked in shock.

Prussia jumped and almost dropped the violin but quickly got his grip on it and turned around to see his shocked friend/enemy. "Uh- ju-just a little," Prussia replied shakily.

Austria walked over. "Why didn't you say?" he question; for some reason it hurt.

Prussia frowned and blushed. "Because it's an un-awesome hobby," he huffed; though it was a lie. Prussia was famous for playing loud rock music; how would others think to see him play a quiet violin?

"You shouldn't let what others think decide what you do in your spare time," Austria chasted and then sat on the piano bench. "Play with me," he commanded and then began the duet for 'Flight of the Bumblebee'.

Prussia was surprised at first but then began his part and they played the duet perfectly. They spent the rest of the hour, enjoying the music and each other's company; but most importantly, what they loved.
