The fact that shop was strange, it was just something that people passed and no one in the most cases even knew it was there. It made no sense that he found his way there, he saw the two children guiding him into a room, the red haired Samurai just stood waiting as if wondering if he was going to be ambushed.

Sitting very quietly, Yuko smiled a little as she looked up at him, it was a strange meeting, her eyes were on the bowl of water that one of the children brought her Maru who brought up the disk, and waited, then was dismissed. "You came for a reason, I can tell," her eyes were down, she looked grim. "You suffered a great loss," she pointed to his left cheek and sighed.

The Samurai touched his cheek and nodded. "Is there a reason I felt I had to come?"

"You wonder if you are will suffer or find another?" she brought up her hand and sighed. "I cannot tell you this, but there is one thing I will tell you, the strings of fate are wrapped around your fingers, she and you are unaware of each other." Her smile was actually encouraging. "I do ask for one thing in return, something you treasure that you may want to part with."

He turned his eyes down. "The one I treasured most has passed away, I have nothing to..." he blinked and turned his head. "Would a name be enough?"

Yuko shook her head and then touched his face. "I will not take your name, Kenshin-san, but I ask for one treasure you will come to love. The payment will be a lock of hair." She brought up a small knife and cut off a bit of his hair, then quickly it caught fire. "Our payment is done. Do be on your way, for the one you love has set this path for you, she wants you to find a true love."

True love? He turned his head and noticed that someone was standing in the shadows behind Yuko but in a flash she was gone.

When the young Samurai had left, Yuko turned her attention to the shadow. "This lover is quite the trouble maker," she whispered and sat down on her cushions. "Tomoe, you guided him for a reason, is it to see him or reassure him?"

"I want him to find a true love," Tomoe looked sad. "I have mine, it is now time for his. You tied the strings pretty well on his fingers."

Yuko smiled and laughed a little. "Fate strings will always guide him to who he is intended for, the thing is who believes the strings will be strong enough for him. Kenshin's fate is tied pretty tightly to many people, and these will guide him to what he's supposed to do."

Tomoe smiled a little, her eyes moving to the dark mirror that leaned on the wall. "Yuko-san, you said once as a child, that I would meet a sadness in my life, and learn to want to hurt the one who caused it, but find that he needs to be guided to a light to save him. That I would die in his arms, and change his fate for good, were you talking about my beloved Kenshin?"

"Was I?" Yuko smiled and looked up a little, she reached for a sake bottle and sighed. "Hiko-san is late again, I really should share a drink with that fool."

Tomoe smiled again as she vanished. "I'm just hoping my beloved understands."
