He gazes into her blue eyes, wondering when they became so dazzling. The thoughts she senses running rampant through his mind astound her. Could it be, Emma wonders, that Sean is just too dazed from being resurrected that he hasn't gained control of his own mind yet? But then his thoughts continue their silent revelations, and she knows much more.

He's cursing himself as he turns from her, cursing himself for a fool for keeping his pledge to Moira when he hadn't loved her for years before they died, calling himself an idiot for never acting on the true feelings in his heart for Emma and determinedly quieting them down every time they arose. He kept silent and never told her how he really felt. When he died, his one regret not involving his daughter was he'd never acted on those feelings.

Her eyes aren't just dazzling now. They always were. He should have told her, but he didn't. He stayed silent and never allowed any one to know she was the one who he really loved. He kept the truths silent, and now there's nothing more he can do. He no longer has a chance or the right to tell her how he feels because there's a ring on her finger now, a ring claiming her hand and herself for another man, a man who he once called friend but for whom now he feels nothing but hatred.

Emma slips her ring off and slaps Scott in the chest with it. He's startled, but she can't help Warren succeeded in resurrecting her true love before Scott's. She's not wasting another moment. She grabs her Irish man and kisses him senseless, and for the first time, as Scott stands gasping, Sean's glad the woman he loves is a mind Witch.
