In that case, how many times do I need to say it?
That I love you.
She knows that he loves her. He told her once before. A few months after they start dating. And she's not that kind of needy girl that needs to be told the words "I love you" everyday. Once is enough for her.
Or so she thought.
Karin threw the female waiter a dark glare as she watched her sauntering away from her table after she shamelessly flirted with her man. Yeah, she realized that her so called man can be call handsome but seriously? Why flirted with a man just because he's good looking? There are a lot of other qualities that made a man, handsome.
Sighing, she turned back to looked at Toshiro who is now engrossed with his book. The reading glass that he had put on earlier, slide down his nose before he pushed it back almost impatiently. He let out a small snort at something that he read and without a word wrote a comment at the side of the page. Well, if you think that he is good looking, you should wait until he starts talking. Or better yet, talk to him when he's in one of his moody mood.
She gave a small smile when she noticed him stop reading and threw her a questioning look.
He must have sense something from her smile because he closed his book and sighed.
"Is it about that waiter?"
Blushing, she shook her head. Like hell she's going to admit that she was jealous over a waiter. Fidgeting under his stare, she pretended to looked at the menu in front her before giving a comment here and there never mind that comment made no sense at all. Decided to play along, he gave his two cent in support of her opinion. By the end of their little game, she was laughing along him. Gasping for breath, she grinned.
She really, really loves him.
Not for his look or his wallet. But for his very own personality, the small gesture that he shows her every day.
"I love you" she whispered softly, grinning when she saw him redden.
"I thought you would never tell me that"
At that, she blinked her eyes, disbelieve written all over her face. "What? I told you before right?"
"Nah, you just said – I like you. You even have the nerve to look reluctant as you told me that." Toshiro answered her, shooting her a murderous glare.
She grinned sheepishly. "In that case, how many times do I need to say it? That I love you."
"Just once will be enough for now."
"Why?"
He cupped his face in his palms as he mumbled something.
"Ha? Say it properly Toshiro."
With tips of his ears burning red and face still burry in his palms he mumbled it, "Next time, it will be said as our vows"
True enough, the next time they said those words, it was at the front of the nave.
And she never been any happier.
