Wow it's been a long time. Uh... I think what I'm going to do with this story is finish and then rewrite it with more detail because when I first started it I was a bit of a novice. So providing that I do actually finish it, keep checking up on it.

Anyways so I sort of got inspired again. I'm currently working on an independent story which doesn't have anything to do with fan fiction, its a whole new story. So if you are interested some time soon I will post the first chapter on Wattpad. Same username and the story is called "Silence".

So enough of my ramblings and on with the show...

"I'm sorry what?" I stuttered, completely stunned at his change of tone and composure.

"Walk with me." He repeated. His voice was soft, laced with something that could have been kindness and still I wasn't sure what to think. He may have sounded kind but his eyes, oh those eyes, were nowhere near anything that might have vaguely resembled kindness. However in my current state, and with Luke, Tibbs and The Doctor all in the hands of very strong soldiers, I didn't think it was wise, regardless of what his eyes looked like, to disobey Knylock.

Gulping audibly I stepped out of the grasp of the twins. Knylock nodded, a small smile played on his lips.

"A wise decision Jiparta girl" he uttered as Manicale closed the door behind us, the trail of soldier women and his brother.

"It's Rose actually" I muttered through my teeth. Knylock ignored me, he strode off down the corridor, his robes billowing as his long strides carried him along. One of the twins prodded my shoulder to push me along. I growled softly and started walking hastily, so as to catch up with Knylock.

"Did my imbecile of a brother tell you why I brought you here?"

"Uhhh" I stammered. Even after all of the crazy things happening to me, I still hadn't really had the time to contemplate why.

"I'll take that as a no then. I think on Earth you have some saying about how knowledge is powerful."

"Knowledge is power. Yeah."

"Well in my culture knowledge is everything." I raised an eyebrow quizzically. "Literally everything. Learning is a part of our DNA. We live to absorb new information and possibly some day record all the knowledge in the universe. We pass it down to our offspring at our death. What we learn is our will. Its everything we have."

"But why? Whats the point? Sure its cool to know stuff and yes knowledge is power but if you'll never see the end of it, if you'll never actually know everything whats the point of going out of your way to acquire information?"

"That's our purpose. Our life long quest. To just...know. It has been lost in time, over millennia what led us onto this path seeking knowledge, but regardless this is what drives us forward. As much as I understand it, human's have this desire for knowledge as well. But they also want to explore. To see the universe. A quest for wonders, one might say. But most people on Earth don't even know that they aren't alone in the universe." he let out a chuckle. "But more to the point. Or more to you, should I say, since this is where you come in."

"M..me?" I stuttered after a few seconds of opening and closing my mouth like a goldfish.

Knylock didn't look down at me, "The Jiparta civilisation was a truly remarkable one indeed. Much more technologically advanced and aware of other life in the universe than humans. Also their brain, your brain should I say, has remarkable qualities. Are you aware of why you don't remember anything from your past?"

"Yes but what has that got to do with information retriv..." but Knylock cut across me.

"Inside your mind, you amazing mind, you have information that has been lost. Your planet and most of your people are gone and you, my dear, possess what we know to be as the last record of the knowledge from your planet in that fantastic head of yours." he tapped my head lightly.

"But I don't know any of it! The Doctor says its gone, that my mind got rid of it"

"Not gone, just blocked. Like a floodgate, sealing off this rush of memories and information from your planet. Its all still there, it just requires the right piece of equipment to retrieve it." Knylock smiled coldly down at me. "And you might be intrigued to know, my dear, that this particular piece of equipment just so happens to be in my possession."

I stopped walking. Jaw slack and mouth dry, I managed to utter; "are you suggesting that you unblock my memories for your own personal gain?"

"That is exactly what I am suggesting."

"But you can't! I'll die!" I yelled, unbeknownst to the fact that my voice was rising.

"That is none of my concern. This information could be vital to the survival of my species and I will stop at nothing to get it." he nodded at Manicale and Bildius behind me. They stepped forward and grabbed my arms, one on either side, lifting me off my feet. I screamed, partly out of rage and partly out of fear.

From somewhere in his pluming mass of robes, Knylock pulled out a thin silver bangle. He handed it to one of the twins who promptly clipped it around my wrist, and it sealed with a soft hiss. Intrigued at the silver thing around my wrist, I closed my mouth and watched Knylock silently rummaging through his robes again. This time he pulled a black cube from the folds of fabric. Turning it over in his hands for a moment, he examined the surface until his mouth twisted into a sly smile.

He pressed down on the top of the cube and a blue light emitted from where his finger had touched. I turned back to my wrist and saw the same light emitting from a point on the bracelet's silver surface. There was a slight pain on my wrist now. I winced.

Something flowed in from the bracelet, some sort of drug. It drained into me, leaving a numbness as it spread. Knylock took a step forward so he was only a few inches from my face.

"Listen carefully. It is important you understand this. I cannot extract the memory block in your brain, consequentially releasing your memories, unless you agree. I can't do this forcefully. However if you do not, I won't hesitate to kill all of your freaky little friends in front of you." Darkness was threatening to envelope me, drifting across my vision. I was fighting, but I was losing.

"You do not have to agree to anything, but your friends' lives depend on your decision. Choose wisely." The darkness clouded my vision and I was left with the memory of Knylock's blue face, twisted into a sinister smirk. I knew that he wasn't lying. And I knew what I had to choose, even if my decision was technically already chosen.
