Lily doubled over, clutching her stomach, tears of mirth pouring from her eyes. "James, stop it! Stop!" she cried.

"No!" he laughed. He was enjoying this game. His strong hands sought out her sides again and he continued to tickle her relentlessly. She squirmed, laughing loudly against her will.

James, no!" she giggled. "I will get you for this!" she exclaimed in between bouts of chortling. She wiggled and squirmed, trying to get away from his hands. With one last heave, she finally did, and ran down the deserted corridor away from James, laughing, knowing he would follow.

She hid in a broom closet she passed on her right, breathing heavily, and pressed her eye to the keyhole, waiting for him to appear. She didn't have to wait long: less than a second later, he rounded the corner, his cheeks flushed and hazel eyes gleaming, and looked around, confused.

The corridor ahead was too long for her to have run already, but he could see the whole way down and she wasn't there. He looked behind, wondering if she'd slipped back past him. Nope. Lily's eyes gave her away. He spotted a flash of green behind the keyhole of the cupboard beside him, and knew she was there. Lily bit her lip, begging herself not to giggle again, or make another sound. She didn't need to. He knew where she was anyway.

"Lily, you suck at hiding. It's the only cupboard for miles," he smirked to the cupboard, and Lily somehow found herself sticking her tongue out to a door. James pulled open the cupboard, and instead of pulling her out, joined Lily inside, and closed the door behind him.

Lily looked up in the darkness into his eyes, and smiled. He leaned down, kissing her lightly. She entwined her arms around his neck, pulling her closer to her in the enclosed space, and he wrapped his arms around her petite waist, backing her up against the cupboard door. Neither had any idea how long they were in there, until they were forcibly pulled from their bliss, when the cupboard door against which they were leaning was yanked open by one of the prefects. Who, just because that was their luck, happened to be Remus, for some unknown reason, accompanied by Sirius.

Lily fell onto her back with a thud, James almost falling on top of her, but having the foresight to put his arms in front of him at the last minute to (sort of) break his fall onto his girlfriend.

"Aaaarrggh! My eyes!" Sirius shrieked, shielding his supposedly innocent gaze with his hands. Remus rolled his eyes, not even bothering to comment, and dragged a flailing Sirius back down the corridor away from the now re-entwined couple, still horizontal in the middle of the corridor, but now they had somehow rolled over so James wouldn't crush Lily so much before they had finished making out.
