"Well that's just awesome," Dean grumbled. "She'll know we haven't been released! And when she comes this way she's bound to see us. We're trapped here, Sam."

Sam looked around quickly, scanning the room. "I might have idea, but it's risky."

"Well, what is it?" Dean asked, making rapid arm gestures.

"We go back and take the suits of the agents we knocked out up there. That way we could pass off as FBI agents. She might not give us a second glance if we're in uniform," he replied.

Dean glanced behind the wall to check on Dr. Brennan. She had stopped at the reception desk to check in, but that would only take a minute of her time. Then she would be on her way over. He pulled back and looked at the stairs where they'd come. "What if we hid on the stairs? Hopefully she'll take the elevator and we won't even run into her."

Sam nodded quickly. "Let's go, she'll be here any second."

The two brothers half-ran half-walked back to the stairs. They went up to almost the second level, careful to pick a place where they could see both up and down but not be seen by the doctor. Crouching down, they watched the first floor intently. Brennan came into view and went straight for the elevator. Sam let go a breath of relief.

"That's them! They knocked out three agents!"

On the second floor a group of agents stood, one of them pointing towards Sam and Dean. It was the psychologist - Agent Sweets. In a heartbeat guns were drawn and they were running towards the stairs. Half a second later Sam and Dean were scrambling down the stairs, back to the first flight. Brennan looked up and her eyes widened.

"You're not supposed to be down here. Sweets was going to take you to the other interrogation room," Brennan said as if it would make the brothers go back upstairs.

"Sorry Dr. B, but we have to get out of there to catch this killer," Dean said. He glanced back at the agents. The first ones were rounding the corner and aiming to fire at them. "And it looks like you're gonna be our way out of here."

Against Sam's protests, Dean advanced on Brennan. He pulled out a knife from G** knows where, despite having been searched. Brennan kicked her leg out, but he grabbed it easily and pushed it back towards the ground. She stumbled from the force. In her moment of weakness he got his arms around her, putting the knife an inch from her throat. Unable to do anything, Sam ran behind his brother.

"Don't shoot! They have Dr. Brennan!" Sweets called, putting a hand up to signal the agents. The guns remained raised, but no one fired.

"Alright, this is how it's going to work. We're going to walk out of here with Dr. B and no one will follow or she gets hurt. Got it?" Dean said it as more of a statement than a question. He forced Brennan to start walking with them as they made their way towards the doors.

"We'll get you back, Brennan," Sweets said solemnly as they exited the building.

Brennan was dragged along by the elder brother. She was very aware of the knife that stayed close to her throat even while they were out of the building.

"Sam, you need to find Bobby! If we don't get out of here quick they'll have snipers on the roof and then we're both dead."

Sam ran into the parking lot, desperately looking at the parked cars for signs of this "Bobby" person. Brennan went along with Dean, intent to escape the moment it was possible.

"Dean!" Sam shouted, waving his arms a few rows down. He was next to a car that had an older man in a weathered baseball cap sitting in the drivers seat. Dean pushed her towards the vehicle.

He opened the back door and moved the knife to force her inside. The instant the knife was gone she kicked back, landing a heavy kick to his shin. Dean winced and uttered a "son of a b****."

Brennan took several steps back, putting her fists up defensively. Sam and Bobby exited the car.

"What the h*** are you boys getting yourselves into?" the older man asked grumpily. He looked between Brennan and Dean sternly. "Why don't you just let her go and we can get our ***es out of here already?"

Sam sighed. "She might be useful in finding the rugaru. She's been working directly with the FBI, so she knows all the facts about the case."

"Confidential information. Information I do not intend to share with anyone that is kidnapping me to go after something so... ludicrous." Brennan replied. Her gaze switched between all of them. There was a chance she could take them all if she had to, but they seemed smart. That together with the fact that they were all bigger than she was meant that she'd have to catch them off guard. Maybe separate and incapacitate them.

Sam moved forward, approaching the doctor. "If you come with us we can prove to you that the rugaru is real. The thing your chasing is no longer human, Temperance."

Dean gave him a weird look. "Temperance?"

"I did research," Sam said simply. "C'mon, we need your help in finding whoever did this to our friend."

He was continuing to take steps closer to her. In a moment he was only a few feet away.

"I'm not going to aid you in your lunacy," she snapped. Without any other warning she kicked again, this time hitting the tall man in his privates. He groaned heavily and fell to his knees in pain. Dean winced at the sight.

Bobby moved forward, pulling out his gun. She grabbed his wrist and twisted. His grip on the gun was loosening.

Then Dean came up behind her and whacked her with bat he'd gotten from the back of Bobby's car. She crumpled to the ground. He looked at Bobby, who began rubbing his wrist, and Sam, who had his teeth clenched tightly.

"Let's get her in the car. Bobby will drive and I'll stay back with her." He leaned down and hefted her over his shoulder. Once Sam could stand again they all entered the car and were off.
