Fate: All Riders.

Chapter 12: Right on time.

The teams had been set up, Lancer, Saber and even Assassin stood in plain view in a ruined shopping district. From what they could gather the place was the battlegrounds for Caster and Rider. A few more extra broken buildings wouldn't be missed in this place and the ruins that were already here as a result of that battle provided convenient cover for the Masters to hide. Both Saber and Lancer felt uneasy, though they were heroic spirits they still knew fear.

In Saber's case he feared for the safety of both Emiya and Iri. He didn't approve of the Magus Killer's methods of course but the conversations he had with his wife rendered him unable to hate the man. If what she told him was true then Emiya was feeling the most pain of anyone in the war. Then of course Saber feared for his friend Ankh. He knew the homunculus was capable but against a monster like Berserker you could never be too sure.

Strangely he also feared for the other Servants. They were all heroes, ones on the side of justice as far as he could tell. Though they were ultimately enemies Saber could not help but feel a sense of something approaching understanding between them all. Perhaps in another life they would have been friends, comrades in arms. Tonight was just a taste of that camaraderie, a temporary truce to face an infinitely more powerful threat.

Lancer feared for his Masters, his family as he had come to think of them.

Kayneth was at their secret hideout recovering from the other day's exertions. Even though his ability to possess his Masters would boost their physical stats it was ultimately draining on them. Sola Ui however was the one in most danger right now but at the same time was possibly the most safest of all the other Masters. Lancer at that moment was in her body, if he died so would she. None of the other Masters knew this of course but it was likely that everyone had their suspicions.

After all he did show them that he was able to possess bodies before.

The trick here however was that he was hoping that they would believe he was using Kayneth's body and that Sola Ui was somewhere else helping to set up the ambush.

It was unlikely that they would believe the lie but as a heroic spirit Lancer had the strange ability to magically convince them that he was telling the truth (to varying degrees of success). His legend was built on false words, it was no wonder that as a Servant he would receive an ability based on such things.

Assassin also feared for his Master, however his fear was for a different reason. The Servant Berserker was powerful of course but he had no doubt in his mind that with the combined efforts of all the Servants gathered here they would ultimately triumph. It was what would happen after that frightened him.

The man known as Emiya was a threat, who knew what sort of trap he had set up. Not only that but there was the presence of Archer that unnerved him.

Who was Archer? How did he know who IXA was? How did he manipulate the power he had? What were those cards? Too many unknowns, too many risks. Assassin vowed to keep an eye on Archer.

Archer, the final Servant had no doubts on the coming battle. He knew that whatever happened would only benefit him. As a Heroic Spirit summoned into the class of Archer he had superior eyesight, not that his eyesight was anything to scoff at when he was mortal mind you. Being a gunman and a thief generally would keep any individual sharp so he simply assumed that if worst comes to worst he could find Berserker's Master and kill him from the shadows.

In fact he was almost hoping that the other Heroic spirits would perish from the coming battle with the crazed Servant. Still Saber did interest him, he himself had no recollection of the hero despite obviously being a Kamen Rider. The universe was endless and the fact that he had met a future version of himself ensured that little could surprise him these days.

The other masters were all hidden, even from each other. Despite their alliance they still didn't trust each other. Officially it was so that if one of them caught the attention of Berserker they wouldn't run to another Master for help putting them both in danger. It was such a flimsy excuse that no one had bothered to refute it, something that Saber disliked immensely.

However that didn't mean that they didn't know where the others were.

Emiya had a series of cameras, completely mundane and thus undetectable by magic. In addition he also had Maya work as a tracker and scout. The plan was that he himself would be perched in such a location that could only be seen from certain locations allowing Maya to reduce her own search area. Because of this method finding where Kotomine was stationed was rather easy.

The idea was that if any other Master could see him it would be in an area that could be easily scanned. Any other direction was blocked off by another structure or another part of a building. There was of course the possibility that the others could see through walls but if they could any gambit to hide at his disposal would be just as pointless.

Kirei found out about Maya almost instantly. His own invisible Servant being Archer having superior eyesight was able to pick up where she and Emiya was. Because of his own extensive research on the Magus Killer the existence of Maya was not hidden from him.

Kayneth was nowhere to be found, when Lancer had fought Archer a female voice was heard when issuing the command seals. This meant that it was most likely Sola Ui being possessed, Kayneth must've been setting up an ambush somewhere else. Perhaps it was a ruse, it was possible it was the other way around now.

It was possible that Kayneth was once more possessed by Lancer while Sola was the one setting up the traps.

Emiya of course knew better. No Magus could survive his origin bullet without being magically crippled for life. This meant that the ownership of Lancer had shifted. Most likely to his fiance.

It was simple logic really.

Upon announcing the grail war any mages within the confines of the city would have fled by now unless they intended to participate or risk getting caught in the crossfire. Considering that Sola was in the park the other day with her fiance on seemingly good terms this meant that they were allied.

Who better to give your command seals and Servant to after your own magical circuits ceased to be usable?

One of the most important things to a magus after all was a heir and by extension the person who would produce it. Kayneth was an exemplary example of a Magus both negative and positive, pompous, arrogant, intelligent and powerful.

However there was one thing that placed him outside the norm.

He actually had feelings for the one who would provide him with a successor.

Normally speaking such arrangements were simply just that. Arrangements, purely business in all sense of the word. True, it was common for both parties to have an amicable relationship with each other but it was rarely love that would drive the union.

The Magus Killer of course planned to use this information to it's full potential where possible. One idea involved kidnapping the woman to use as blackmail against Kayneth. Where most other practitioners of magic would give up their wife for a chance at the grail (and thus the root) he assumed that in this case, Lord El Melloi would give in to his demands.

Narrowing his eyes Emiya dispelled the idle thoughts from his head. He had a job to do.

Re-aligning his sniper rifle he continued to scan the area, the sudden movement at the corner of his vision quickly caught his attention and what he saw confused him.

A mass of greyish, white miasma moved through the streets towards the other Servants and to his mind it was obviously Berserker. Saber, Lancer and Assassin had realized the danger and prepared their weapons but it was too late.

What confused Emiya however was not the Servant's brazen attack but rather it's appearance. It still had the strange grey fog about it but this time it was for a lack of better word bigger and faster.

Focusing his attention on the fast moving object Emiya realized what he was looking at. The sounds that came with Berserker lent credence to his theory. As strange as it was Berserker was riding a motor bike.

Another Heroic spirit from recent history then.

The roar of the engine came closer and closer blasting right past the other Heroic spirits somehow managing to knock them all over creating sparks where it had passed.

"After him!" Saber had shouted, the first to recover due to his superior endurance..

From thin air they all materialized bikes of their own. Emiya was aware that Saber had possessed one after his wife had spoken with him about his capabilities but to see the other two Servants with their own vehicles was surprising.

It was strange.

Rider of course had a bike, that was revealed the night that the Heroic spirit entered the battle back at the docks.

Besides Archer it seemed every participating hero left in the war had a bike.

In fact from what he knew Archer used a pistol, with this revelation the Magus Killer quickly realized the it was possible that none of the Servants were older than 700 years.

In terms of Heroic spirits they were all infants.

Their armored forms still smoking from the damage they had received the Servants raced after Berserker, their job was to distract him after all.

However already did the Magus Killer consider this plan a failure.

Attacking them using a bike? It would be akin to a Berserker using a fighter jet.

This was outside the norm and Berserker class heroes were nothing if consistent, what was happening here was part of someone else's plan.

Still he did not warn Saber or call him away from his Quarry. To do so now would alert his opponent that he realized that something was wrong.

Kariya Matou was a naturally talented man but a tactician he was not. Whatever was going on was most likely caused by an outside influence, a third party perhaps.

It was possible that Kariya had allied himself with someone else, it was also possible that another master had already killed him and was simply controlling Berserker.

Was it possible that Kotomine had him under his control and was using this entire plan to lead the Servants away?

It was possible. The Servant Archer was famed for having legendary sight, finding the other Masters in hiding would allow the priest to find his competitors and eliminate them easily enough.

However predicting what would happen and over analyzing a possible future was a dangerous thing to do.

Best to work with what you knew and what you had. Plans were all well and good but the ability to adapt was far more valuable. Having Ankh with him in that regard was a blessing. The floating hand apparently had superior senses and claimed to be the reason why his partner Saber had the very same eyes he did.

If Archer were to approach his position then he would be informed quickly enough.

Then a streak of white and gold not on a bike caught his view.

This was the first time that Saber had gotten a good look at Berserker. The last time he had encountered him he was too distracted with keeping Iri safe and when Stronger revealed his reality marble it gave him little chance to focus his vision on the crazed Servant.

Now that his sight was focused squarely on Berserker certain details were making themselves slightly more clear.

He could see the segmented pieces of armor, the bulky chest piece and the bike that seemed to match.

The helmet that Saber wore gave him enhanced sight to the point where even invisible enemies would be unable to hide. Everything he saw right now matched the image of the pink and white monster that killed Stronger.

Even so the image was blurry. It wasn't as if Berserker was concealing himself. It was as if his own eyes were trying to reject the existence of such a thing. A part of his brain could not understand, could not comprehend the sight but it mattered little to him.

Both Assassin and Lancer rode upon white and blue vehicles of differing designs while he himself drove something black and yellow.

"Ixa Knuckle Rise up!"

A mechanical sound from Assassin made them see him make a punching motion towards Berserker. A wave of heat passed in front of Saber as the blast destroyed a section of road forcing Berserker and his pursuers to take a hard left.

"Hey warn us ahead of time!" Saber complained.

"Yes." Agreed Lancer in a calm tone as if he almost wasn't blown up as well. "I'd prefer to not be snapped up by a convenient case of 'friendly' fire."

Assassin grunted. "I missed…" was all he said before winding up for another shot.

"Ixa Knuckle Rise up!"

Realizing what the motion and sound implied both Saber and Lancer slowed down and positioned themselves behind the white knight as he unleashed another pulse of heat.

Berserker simply took another turn and was none worse for wear.

"Ixa Knuckle Rise up!"

Another blast was sent out and once more the Servant dodged unharmed.

"You're missing him on purpose." Lancer spoke up. "But that means there's a trap…."

As if on queue Berserker made another turn into a dead end, a sturdy brick wall laid before them.

"We've got him." Assassin promised readying another attack. "He can't escape now."

Berserker disagreed and decided that the dead end in front of him would be a lot better as road.

Driving through the brick wall as if it wasn't there a flash of light revealed that someone was already behind that wall waiting.

A mechanical voice shouted out. 'Ixacalibur Riise u-p!'

The flash of light was blinding, it was as if there was a sun burning in front of them.

A sword struck Berserker down from his bike causing it to crash into the building opposite of this new figure.

As the dust cleared it revealed another Assassin, however this one had different eyes and a sword.

This one was clearly more powerful than the one that rode the bike.

This was the first time that either Saber or Lancer had laid an eye on this specific form.

Easily recovering from the attack Berserker stood up to face the new threat.

"Please return that life to god." The Assassin demanded taking a step forwards.

Berserker roared in seemingly familiar defiance.

Despite not knowing about another Assassin both Saber and Lancer couldn't afford to be confused right now.

They had an additional ally and that's all that mattered right now.

"Berserker, use your true power." A voice in the distance seemed to have echoed.

The greyish miasma fluctuated before rippling outwards to reveal the pink form of the Heroic Spirit.

Everyone hesitated at the form that had so easily destroyed Rider and his noble phantasm.

The unnatural oppressive aura that was exuded was no longer there.

No, it still lingered but now it was covered by something else.

The pink Berserker stood, radiating defiance as if to say 'I belong here, I exist!'

Still he was outnumbered and every Servant here was not from a reality marble.

Berserker's greatest advantage in that regard was negated however something felt wrong.

Glancing at Lancer he spoke. "Den-o huh? I can defeat you in one move…."

A card was revealed and a mechanical voice spoke as it was inserted into his belt.

'Final Form Ride…. Den-o!'

Before anyone could blink Berserker had already closed the distance and seemed to use his inhuman strength to shove Lancer's head down into his chest.

But that wasn't the strangest thing that had happened. No what was stranger was to see Sola Ui seemingly eject from the body as it turned from an armored blue warrior to another blue monster.

"Lancer?" She whispered in both fear and confusion. She knew that her Servant was a monster, he even told her himself.

But seeing it right in front of her was different. She wasn't sure what scared her more now, Berserker or her own Servant.

The white fog began to return enveloping Berserker once more. Whatever he had done had taken enough power to revert him to his original state.

"RAHHHH!" The beast raged taking a step to the now exposed master.

Saber stepped between them defensively. He had no idea what had just occurred but it was in his nature to protect those that couldn't protect themselves.

Both Assassin's readied their attacks equally unsure what had just happened but weren't about to give up such an opening. If the monster was focused on someone else, no matter how short the distraction they might have a chance.

Leaping forwards Berserker attacked but met resistance as Saber defended himself with his own sword.

"Get back! He yelled at Sola." Scrambling away her eyes were full of fear.

Coming in from the sides a hail of bullets began to strike at Berserker from the new Assassin.

"Ixa Knuckle Rise up!"

The other however was taking a more destructive approach as a wave of heat was let loose.

Pushing himself away from the upcoming destruction Saber shielded his eyes from the explosion.

Berserker still stood, strong as ever and took another step forwards and with almost casual ease grabbed Saber before tossing him into Assassin. The one with the gun kept on peppering Berserker to no effect.

Taking another step to Sola the monster growled at her ready to strike her down where she laid.

"Get away from her!" A familiar voice echoed as a blue transparent form seemed to force it's way into Berserker.

Did Lancer just try to possess the crazed Servant?

Sola felt guilty, guilt that she could ever doubt Lancer, he truly cared. She was not a worthy Master nevermind partner for Lancer.

For a moment it seemed that Lancer had gotten their foe under control but no sooner than the calm seemed to win over did the new form of Lancer shoot out forcibly slamming against a nearby wall. Picking himself up Lancer summoned a blue staff.

"YAAAH!" He yelled, his usual dignified form and speech buried beneath his concern for Sola.

She knew she was not worthy but knew she had to do something to help even if it meant forfeiting the right to be a Master.

"Lancer I Sola Ui command you to win!" The last vestiges of her Command Seal faded away leaving unblemished skin behind.

Though shocked at his Master's action he could not respond in any way but to meet her expectations.

A belt materialized around his waist along with a phone. In the background Saber and new Assassin raised their sword locking Berserker into place as old Assassin delivered a kick from behind dealing no discernable damage.

Raising the red phone to his mouth Lancer spoke.

"It seems my dear Master wishes for us to use our greatest power." It was almost too quiet but he spoke as if he trusted whomever was on the other side, the fondness in his voice was difficult to miss.

Pressing some buttons a new mechanical voice rung out.

'Momo-Ura-Kin-Ryu-CLIMAX FORM!' Lancer seemed to fade away only to be replaced by a boy, no older than Waver Velvet perhaps when suddenly he was covered in armor, not too different in design from the kind that Lancer originally wore.

In fact the shoulder piece on his left shoulder resembled his original helmet a great deal.

"We have arrived!" An aggressive voice shouted!

"Let's do this everyone!" A more gentle voice echoed.

"We'll make you cry!" A deeper one replied.

"Hmmm I suppose I shall lend you my assistance then!" An arrogant voice added.

"Oh hey he's here to!" An energetic one piped in.

The group of voices seemed to then devolve into what sounded like interbody arguments.

None of these voices were Lancer's Sola realized. She kept staring at the shoulder piece that looked like her dear Servant and when it seemed to nod in her direction her eyes widened.

The aura that reverberated from Lancer was immense, to everyone there it was certain that this was Lancer's noble phantasm.

The thing that made his legend a reality, with this new power they could beat Berserker!

"Even if you have no command seals left, always know that you were a great catch Master." Then the sounds of trains drowned out the area as tracks began to litter the skies above Berserker…..

Kotomine groaned, this was going to be hard to cover up.

Omake: What if every Rider was replaced with their secondary/main/other significant connecting counterparts?

Starting with SABER BIRTHS!

Emiya Kiritsugu was having an odd day that was both a success and an absolute failure at the same time.

For one he managed to summon Saber successfully, a statistically sure choice for victory.

On the other hand it was not King Arthur as he had hoped.

But luckily he was able to summon two Servants for the price of one.

Unfortunately neither of them had a sword.

Fortunately they had a versatile repertoire of equipment to use.

His benefactors however demanded that he would return the sheath Avalon if it was not going to be used.

Which honestly wasn't a bad idea. Without King Arthur powering the artifact it was as useful as a paperweight.

The two heroes entered his office.

Being supernatural heroic spirits of great strength and speed the door created a small localized gust of wind.

The wind then knocked aside the reports, photos and other notes he had on other Masters disorganizing everything.

"Oh sorry boss." Said the older, bearded one. "You should probably get a paper weight to hold that stuff down next time."

Emiya simply groaned.

ASSASSIN KIVA!

Kotomine was having a worse day.

In front of him stood a form worthy of the title 'Assassin' a title that implied death.

Fangs, red armor, bat like motif this man was…..

"Assassin I command you to kill yourself now!" then the deed was done.

Though he essentially eliminated any chance of winning the grail war it was worth it.

A priest of the church summoning a vampire was something that should never happen.

Frowning he recalled that without a catalyst the Master would summon a Servant most suitable to the summoner.

What did this say about him as a person then?

His father seemed to choke, his hesitence clear. "...You did the right thing son…." He managed to say.

ARCHER DECADE!

A pink form was revealed and confusion spread throughout the room.

This was hardly the form of King Gilgamesh, still legends could be twisted.

Before the question of his identity could be asked the Servant spoke.

"Oh I see, I'm a Servant in the Holy Grail war, weird world I'm in…. I wonder which Rider I'll meet this time?" Looking around the room the Pink hero finally seemed to realize he was not alone.

"Oh hey, I'm Decade a passing through Rider."

It was at this point that everyone realized that they were standing inside a cafe studio of sorts surrounded by people they had never met. One of which had the aura of a Heroic Spirit himself.

"Oh hi, I'm a Rider too!" He smiled.

RIDER TACKLE?

"WHY AM I A RIDER!?" The woman shouted in confusion.

Waver began to cry, he had a feeling that he would have to do it now before the chance was robbed from him.

(Watch the Decade movie web specials or even read the Kamen Rider Spirits manga, seriously it's good stuff.)

LANCER DEN-O SWORD FORM!

"I HAVE ARRIVED!" The red figure in front of Kayneth announced in a boisterous way accidently knocking over a vase when posing.

Sighing Kayneth spoke. "Rather loud aren't you, like a fish out of water…." He didn't know why he chose that specific phrase but it seemed to have unintended consequences as Sola put her hand on his shoulder.

"Wait a second…. blue clothes… woman nearby… fish in sentences!?" Pulling a sword out of nowhere the red hero leapt forwards.

"DAMNIT YOU TURTLE BASTARD DID YOU GET SUMMONED AS LANCER?!" He shouted.

Kayneth was not killed but he was terribly hurt in the proceeding beat down.

As with most continuities Sola quickly became infatuated with the Heroic Spirit.

Considering who the competition was it wasn't that difficult.

BERSERKER NARUTAKI!

Zouken was beginning to regret giving his son the ability to participate in the Holy Grail War..

At first he was disappointed to see a man summoned before them, a normal if shady looking man.

He was however amused at how different this Servant was, not exactly awe inspiring or even scary.

However the Heroic Spirit was indeed very annoying.

"OOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEE DDDDDDIIIIIIIIIIKKKKKKKEEEIIIIDOOOOOO!"

He seemed to shout constantly.

Though he didn't look like Berserker he seemed to have the innate ability to turn everyone else crazy.

Kariya stayed sane by seeing how annoyed his father was by the situation.

CASTER RYUKI!

"OH MY GOD YOU'RE LIKE THAT PURPLE SERIAL KILLER ALL OVER AGAIN!" Shouted a red armored warrior.

This was one of the few continuities where Ryunosuke did not have a bromance with his Servant.

Then the orange haired killer was eaten by a dragon and Caster faded away without a Master to anchor him to Gaia.
