Chapter 1

Life was perfect. I had a family that loved me dearly and I loved them just as dearly. Our world was at peace. We were a peaceful sort of people we dealt with our own, we shied from the thoughts of war . We caused no trouble to the neighboring nations. But then again not many knew of our world.

My home planet Azolin, the most breathtaking place you could ever lay eyes on, at least in my opinion it is. Azolin was not part of the 9 realms... well that's entirely not true because we are sort of we just are not visible to the other realms. That's what keeps us protected and safe. Our inventors had created a sort of rappel device that kept other's from even knowing of our existence.

Azolin was beautiful beyond a mere word. The water around my home sparkled bright blue in the sunlight. The trees were tall and strong. At night the stars sparkled, dancing in the air so carefree. If you looked close enough you would be able to see the other 9 realms. But that was only on very rare occasions.

The animals were kind and playful. We have one playful creature that's named a zarac, they were the tricksters of all the animals. There is one I named Zora in our gardens that likes to take my books when I'm not looking. The flowers were so bright and colorful, full of oranges, reds, pinks, and many more colors.

The people that lived in Azolin were kind and thoughtful. They lived life free and no worry. When I was little my parents never worried when I wondered off, they always trusted the people that lived here to take care of me.

But I guess not everything lasts beautiful forever. I honestly wish I could travel back to that one moment in time and change everything. It was midday, the sun was shining brightly in the sky, the birds were tweeting a lovely song as they flew by. My father Charles the King of Azolin and my mother Renee the Queen were out on a stroll. On day's that were simple and they had no other place to be they would always be found hand in hand strolling the gardens of Antheia, the goddess of flowers.

It was on one of these day's where they had come across a men clad in dirty clothes lying unconscious in the bushes. . My father and mother brought him to our kingdom; asking him questions, trying to find answers to why he was here. Where he was from? How did he get here?

All he could answer was I do not know. My mother had told me that I always had this uncanny ability to tell when someone was lying. This man was lying. It could be seen in his gruesome face, they ways his eyes gave off this evil glint. No one even knew that Azolin existed, and there is no way one could just get through the dome that covered our realm.

I had gone to father to warn him. To try to explain my horrible feeling. My father gave me a stern glare, warning me to be kind to our "guest."

I kept my distance from him as much as I could. There was only a few times where I had seen him. He would smile at me and bow his head slightly murmuring princess, before walking away.

"Why are you worrying so much sister?" My brother Omar asked while pulling back the string on the bow.

I smile as I keep tracing the tattoos that glowed on my skin. The swirl pattern starting from the tip of my fingers, slithering up to my shoulder in delicate patterns, and down my back in an array of designs. There were two categories of these tattoos. Everyone was born with some sort of design but what put me and everyone else apart was that mine were gold and more complex, symbolizing that I was royal. The others were black designs showing their status as a commoner.

The only time I ever traced the assortment of designs was when I worried, and I had much to worry about. "I do not trust that Jeridone." I simply say.

My brother gives me that look that says I understand, "I know how you feel sister; he is a creepy bastard". I giggle before watching my brother sharpen his sword. My brother and I are twins, him claiming to be the oldest, although no one would ever guess because of our completely different personalities.

Our skin was darkened from the sun rays that beat down on us every day. Both of us inherited the dark brown hairs. Our difference was our eyes. Omar obtained mother's crystal blue eyes, while I had taken to my father's dark brown eyes.

"But we can't do anything about it and you know this." He adds.

And sadly I do know this. Father trusts that man with his life, even though he has known him a short while. My father has even taken to calling him his right hand man when it came to decisions in the council. Anyone would be able to see Jeridones crave for power if they just took the time to see, but they trusted my father and his choices.

It was my mother bursting through the doors that startled me out of my thoughts.

"Come Bella we must hurry."

"Mother what's wrong?" Omar wonders. He has turned from kind brother to warrior. Standing tall and the look of intimidation on his face.

"Your father has done the unthinkable. He truly has lost his mind. I couldn't stop him. He has condemned you to death my daughter. That vile creature has taken over his mind and It's taken me until nowto notice. Your father has ordered your death, he believes that you are a threat."

I am frozen, my own father wants me dead .

My mother grabs my hand and does a slight pull of my arm, "Come we must go, you must leave from here."

We run out of my room and run down the hallway our bare feet slapping the marble ground.

We take a right and my mother grabs a torch and we descend the long flight of stairs. My brother behind us keeps on guard listening for any danger.

Reaching the bottom we squeeze into the escape tunnels that weren't big enough to fit all three of us. We end up in a small room with an old stone door.

My mother pulls me towards her, "Out that door is the forest, I want you to run and leave. You need to leave the realm, I want you to hide."

I shake my head tears streaming down in rivers, "I don't want to go."

"You must." And she pulls me into a tight hug. Omar comes up to me and hugs me from behind telling me I will be alright.

"My Bella you must go now, I will find you angel." Mother says to me.

She pushes me out the door and I run.

I have never run so hard. But I cannot stop because I can hear them behind me.

After Jeridone weaseled his way to be by my father's side they replaced the guards with these creatures. Things that were from a darker realm than our own. They were vile creatures that would kill and destroy anything in their path.

My hand glows with the fire that coursed through my body and I throw one at the hideous creature and successfully hit it. It cries out a horrible screech before collapsing to the ground.

But as I took down one the other took its chance to pounce. Digging it's teeth into my leg I let out a screech.

All I can think of is a safe place. There must be somewhere that I can be safe. I shove the creature and then I'm gone. I fall through space, and don't know where I'm going all I hope is that it's safe. I hit a hard surface. Images became blurry, and then all was dark.

Thor

My father and I were talking strategies for the creatures that seem to be causing trouble in one of the realms. When the doors burst open and in came my dear friend Volstagg. Sweat was dripping from his face, and air puffed from his mouth.

He kneels and puts a fist to his heart, "My King."

I smile, "What is it Volstagg?"

He looks worried for a moment, "There is a girl unconscious in the eating area."

I chuckle, "Isn't there always my friend, have one of the guards take her to a room."

He shakes his head, "No my King she...she fell from the sky, she has these strange golden markings on her arms. She does not look like an Asgardian or from any realm that I know of."

My father straightens up, "you said she has golden markings?"

Volstagg nods, "Yes my Lord, they look to be all over her body."

My father quickly leaves the room his cape flowing about him as he turns the corner and I follow along with Volstagg trying to keep our pace with his.

We enter the feasting area everyone had their backs to the wall. In the middle was a girl no not a girl and young women unconscious. There was blood on her arms and one seeping through her leg pants.

Hogun, Fandral, and Sif are gathered around her weapons drawn.

"Lower your weapons." My father orders.

We are now standing in front of the women. She was quite beautiful, sun kissed skin, and hair dark brown.

A thick golden bangle was wrapped around her forearm. And as Volstagg said the strangest gold markings covered her body that was visible, I have no doubt that they covered her completely with the oddest designs. She was from no realm that I know of.

My father lets out a deep breath, his eyes wide as he kneels down beside the women checking her pulse, "It cannot be."

"What is it father?" Who is this girl?

"Take her to the healers, quickly and make sure she stay's safe,."

They follow his orders and quickly yet gently take her.

My father takes a seat and looks to the sky, pondering.

"She is a Asrai from the realm of Azolin."

I was deeply confused, "I thought those were only children tales."

"As did I my son, but I was wrong. Azolin does exist. Azolin's people are very unique, they have great gifts. Because of those gifts they became secretive and have hidden themselves somewhere in this galaxy."

"What of the markings that adorn her body?" I ask.

"The markings are ancient runes, they are different for each individual, they describe their fate, gift, life, they also give protection and hope."

He pauses for a moment before continuing.

"There are two types of markings, from what I have read of the ancient texts, one of black which are for the people, the commoners, and one of gold for the Royalty."

My eyes widen in disbelief, "Are you saying..."

"Yes my son, the princess of Azolin is in our care."
