A/N: So here's the next chapter. I am terribly sorry for the long wait. College really kicked my ass. Then it happened, my grandfather bit the bullet. And while my parents were away for the funeral I had to take care of some younger siblings and I really didn't feel like writing this. So yeah but I do have a month off from school so you might have another chapter soon after this one that is if nothing else happens. I also realized some people have problems with the amount of money I gave to Harry but honestly I will not change it and in fact I probably will never mention it again.

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter but I sure wish I did.

PurpleBullet: It will happen soon and you won't see it coming.

David305: Wow thanks now I feel dumb from not seeing those.

teedub: Yes it will take more than just the summer to master his powers but we know that Harry learns quick when he is determined and has a competent teacher. You shall find out about the spy much later on for now he will be kept in the shadows.

ohhhdear: This chapter should at least explain why they did not mention anything to Harry.

bobcox26: Well I've answered most of your questions to some extent with this chapter.

And to everyone else that has reviewed thank you all very much.

Warning: This chapter changes perspective many times so read carefully.

Dumbledore sat at his desk doing the paperwork that had piled up during his absence. Fawkes was on his perch dosing lightly and the portraits in the office were all empty except for four, three of whom were sleeping while the other, Phineas stared at Dumbledore with disgust and pity thinking to himself "What has happened to you Dumbledore? You have changed so much." The room was completely silent except for the snores of the sleeping portraits and the whirring noise that the silver trinket in front of Dumbledore made.

It had a small rectangular base made of silver that was no bigger than seven inches. On each opposite end were silver pillars five inches tall and hovering right in the middle was a small glass ball. This device was linked to a ward that Dumbledore had created to track Harry by using some of his blood that he had acquired from the Hospital wing. If Harry appeared in any of the locations where he had placed the ward the glass ball would change color depending on where he was. Red for the Dursley's, Green for Grimmauld place, Blue for the Burrow, and Yellow for the Grangers. Now all he had to do was sit back and wait for his plans to take action.

Severus had already delivered the girls address that much he knew but what he didn't know was how long it was going to take Voldemort to find where she lived and then act. He would just have to wait patiently. He clutched the quill in his hand harder. I will not let what happened to Tom happen to Harry and if he fights me on this he will lose.

"What did it matter of three Muggles died? It wasn't like anyone would miss them and," Dumbledore reasoned "If they did die it would only make my plans for Harry come to fruition quicker. It's for the greater good." But there was still a hint of doubt niggling at the back of his mind questioning if this was the right thing to do. It was ruthlessly squashed. "This is for the Greater Good." Dumbledore reasoned as he went back to his paperwork.

Phineas shook his head at the old man his old friend and silently slipped out if his portrait hurrying to the one in Grimmauld place and hoping that there was someone there that could be trusted to help save not only the Grangers but Dumbledore as well.

It was a tiny house on the country side with long winding dirt roads, lush green grass, trees baring their fruit, where if you looked up at the sky at night you could see the stars casting their light onto you. Remus Lupin saw none of this. He was currently sitting down on a worn out leather sofa with liquor bottles lying empty next to him. He had not shaven in weeks and was currently recovering from the effects of the previous full moon.

He had just woken from another nightmare where he had not held Harry back and he had seen him vanish through the veil along with Sirius. That was over three hours ago and he couldn't get back to sleep so he opted to stare at the cracks forming in his ceiling. Once again his tears flowed as his thoughts drifted to his best friend who was now dead. He had lost them all and now he was alone not even thoughts of Harry and Tonks still being there could cheer him up. He summoned a new bottle of firewiskey as the one he was currently holding in his hand was empty and then proceeded to drink himself into unconsciousness.

Only three people had known about the existence of the house he was in right now. James, Lily and Sirius. As a joke Remus had installed a doggie door for Sirius. James couldn't stop laughing. As Remus drifted into oblivion he saw some dark shape enter through the doggie door that he had installed.

Harry dodged left, bringing his wand up casting the shield charm blocking the spell Leo shot at him. He got back on his feet and let loose a cutting curse in the direction that Leo's last spell came from but it was only successful in cutting the air. Harry gritted his teeth in frustration as he spun around searching for his teacher. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted the flames coming in his direction.

Harry wasted no time and jumped out of the way. The flame freezing and Aquamamti charms were useless against the flames of an elemental and Harry had learned that the hard way by having burned off half the hair on his head. Leo moved his arm following Harry who was now running and casting spells hoping one would hit. He wasn't able to conjure or transfigure anything to block the flames as of yet they required some form of concentration and all of his was focused on not being hit by the fire so the best he could do was run and hope.

"Come on Harry! How do you expect to fight Voldemort and win if you keep running?" Leo yelled over the roar of the flames. He aimed and shot several stunning spells at Harry the fire still shooting out of his palm. Harry's eyes widened and he stopped and cast the Contego and Auror grade shield charm he had learned earlier in the week.

The shield held up against the first four stunning spells while two others miss and the final one cracking the shield and the flames finished the job as it slammed into his shield shattering it and sending him flying backwards.

Harry landed on the hard ground; he wheezed and gasped as he tried to get the air back into his lungs. Black boots entered his line of vision and he rolled out of the way of a kick. A stunning spell impacting the ground where he was just seconds ago as he kept on rolling. Harry kept rolling until he was back on his feet just in time to catching a punching hex to the left shoulder and a piercing hex to the leg making a galleon sized hole in his left leg. Harry stumbled as the pain raced through his body he dropped to one knee and sent stunner which was vastly overpowered at Leo who had to dodge to the side to avoid being hurt before sending a cutting curse at Harry who raised his shield.

"Dammit how can I beat him?" He wondered desperately. As of yet he had not been able to beat Leo in a duel magical, with swords or otherwise. And with his magic no longer under proper control, his shield was beginning to crack a few more hits and it would be done.

More cracks appeared in the shield, Harry grinned as he thought of a way to beat Leo. Dropping the shield he rolled to the left casting a "Displodo" at the ground causing dust, dirt and rocks to fly up hiding Harry from Leo's vision, for once his haywire magic helped him out.

Leo catching onto what Harry was trying to do sent out a wave of water followed by a freezing charm. When the dust settled everything was frozen in a thin layer of ice except for Harry who was nowhere to be seen.

Harry from the second the dust rose began focusing as much as he could before casting the levitation charm on himself. Thankfully the spell was done correctly and he has not overpowered it. He carefully levitated himself high enough that Leo wouldn't see him until his was almost directly above him. He canceled the spell and fell onto Leo who had caught on too late.

Harry grinned as he pressed the point of his wand into Leo's neck. "Ha!" He said through heavy breaths. "I win."

"You'd like to think so wouldn't you Harry." Leo said. There was no time at all to back away and Harry caught a solid punch to the face that sent him reeling backwards before his world went dark.

"You got lucky this time I thought I had you for sure." Harry grouched as Leo pulled him off the ground.

"It was a good job though I really didn't expect that and that is what will help you, being unexpected. However always have another plan should your unexpectedness actually turn out to be expected because I'm sure that getting above me was your only plan." Harry nodded his confirmation. "And the other reason that you lost was because you didn't stun me you assumed and let your guard down letting me get the upper hand. Other than that all I can complain about is that you were on the defensive too much. In a battle you should control what happens, you should have had me on the defensive from the moment the battle started. It would have probably given you more chances to win."

Harry nodded. "Good, well go get cleaned up when you're done we will continue on Occlumency. You are progressing quite steadily today we'll learn how to construct your first wall of defense and then we'll focus on regulating your magic so you don't blow stuff up anymore." Harry frowned he had wanted to take a look at what was inside the trunk that he had taken from the vault. He had neglected to open it when they had gotten home from the bank but he could not put it off any longer.

"Uh Leo I wanted to open the trunk you know, I didn't get a chance to yet and…" He trailed off. Leo's eyes softened. Sometimes the world could be a cruel place.

"Yeah of course you can. Do you want to open it on your own or would you like me to be there with you." Harry looked down tearing up. This was probably something Sirius would have done for me if he was still here. Lifting his head he only nodded not trusting his voice. "Alright then clean up and then bring it down to the kitchen."

Leo smiled as he placed more letters from Hermione on the table while throwing the ones from the order members in the garbage like Harry said he should. Picking up the paper he flipped through the pages when he felt his wards let someone in. His shoulders sagged when the detector ward told him who it was. "God Dammit!" He grabbed his wand and walked to the front door he opened it and came face to face with Moody as he jabbed his wand into the man's throat. "Why are you here Moody?"

"You know damn well why I am here Leo." Moody growled though he did nothing to remove the wand that was at his throat.

"Well then I'm afraid that I will need an oath that you will not try and take Harry back and not to tell anyone about us. If you can't do that then I'm going to have to ask you to leave." Leo said pressing his wand into Moody's throat.

Moody glared for a few seconds before nodding.

Harry dried his hair and with much apprehension he reached into the closet and grabbed the bag that contained the chest. He walked out of his room down the hall where he could hear voices. This gave him pause. He had thought that it was only the two of them that were going to be in this house. He was pretty sure that the other voice that he heard was familiar and it scared him. Pulling out his wand he moved slower inching his way up the voice became clearer and he recognized it as Moody's and his heart beat quickened.

"Harry quit lurking by the doorway and come in here." Leo shouted. Harry cringed and slowly inched toward the door wand drawn and the moment he saw Moody it was trained on him.

"So Potter you just going to stand there or will you tell me exactly how you met my friend over here?" Moody questioned as his mechanical eye spun locking its gaze onto Leo.

Harry looked at Leo who was leaning against the kitchen counter sipping tea nodding to Harry once. "It's fine Harry." He nodded and lowered his wand not putting it away as he sat down putting the bag with the trunk into his jeans pocket.

Voldemort sat on his chair stroking the head of Nagini with a thin pale finger. A lone man was kneeling before him trembling slightly. "Greengrass have you found out where the girl lives?" Devin Greengrass he was a man of average height, greying hair with a goatee and glasses. He was not a fighter and preferred to operate from behind the scenes. He was a wizarding solicitor and The Lord Greengrass. His family was Neutral in the last war but it was apparent that Voldemort didn't like that which was why he was where he was right now.

He hated this thing in front of him. He couldn't even call it a man. "My lord I have found where the Granger girl lives."

"Very good Greengrass let me see." Devin lifted his head and Voldemort immediately invaded his head looking for the information he needed. "What of Potters new title of Lord."

"It is all legit. The Ministry has received the paperwork that stated he was emancipated and given his inheritance which was the title Lord Potter."

Voldemort stood up and scowled revealing sharp pointed teeth. "What does it entail?"

"Nothing more than gaining access to the main family vault in Gringotts, the family ring and a seat on the Wizengamot. However he needs to be 17 to be able to vote currently Dumbledore holds Potters vote."

After a long silence Voldemort spoke again. "Leave me." Devin picked himself off the floor and back out of the room as he reached the door Voldemort spoke again. "You have done well Greengrass; continue to serve me and your wife and daughters will be left alone. Fail and the consequences will be dire." Devin could only nod as he closed the door.

"I'll get you for this Voldemort I swear it. No one threatens my family. But I need help to bring him down and I know just the person to help." Devin thought viciously as he left Malfoy manor.

Peter, Bellatrix, Fenrir Greyback, Anycus and Alecto Carrow, Crabbe, Goyle who were waiting outside all gathered in front of their master. "We will be attacking the home of the Mudblood that Potter loves so much you are to find out if any of them know where Potter is hiding and then kill everyone that is there and let them know what happens when you go against Lord Voldemort." The gathered Death Eaters all cheered with the exception of Peter. "I also have reason to believe that one of our members is a traitor." Peter eyes winded in fright as Bellatrix's gaze shifted to him.

"It is not Peter Bella, at least not yet. No I believe that the traitor is Severus. If we meet any of Dumbledore's men there then it means that I was correct assuming that Severus is the traitor and you Bella will kill him is that understood?"

"Yes my Lord." She said excitement lacing her voice at the thought of getting the chance to kill Snape.

"Albus he is calling me!" Snape burst out of the fireplace in Dumbledore's office. "It seems that he has found where the girl lives." He spoke calmly but he was panicking inside. He could tell something was going to go wrong today.

"Very well Severus answer the summons and I shall gather the order members." The greasy haired man nodded and left.

Dumbledore looked over to Fawkes. "Be ready" he said to the bird who chirped in response. Dumbledore opened the secret drawer in his desk and took out three vials. The first a light blue was a loyalty potion keyed to Dumbledore, the second a deep red which was an obedience potions also keyed to Dumbledore. It wasn't necessary since he had the loyalty potions but Dumbledore didn't want to take chances. The last potion was the love potions Amortentia which was keyed to Ginny Weasley.

He didn't want to use any of these potions but if Harry didn't listen to reason then he would have no choice that and if Harry accepted his inheritance like he assumed he had then he would have to take control to avoid Harry becoming power hungry and turning into another Voldemort. He would not let such as sweet child turn into a monster. Switching off the order pendent he sat at his desk patiently waiting.

"God Dammit all to hell where are all the people in the house!" Phineas yelled finally becoming frustrated after ten minutes.

"Oi pipe down before you wake the dead."

"Yea I mean we heard you the first time but getting into this room was a real pain." Phineas eyes snapped to the two redheads in the door way.

"Oh thank god." He said grinning like a madman. Fred and George's eyebrows vanished into their hair line no one had ever been this happy to see them before.

"So tell us Esteemed Ex-Headmaster of Hogwarts,"

"What can we lowly delinquents do for you?"

"The two of you are friends of Harry Potter correct?"

"Yes he's like,"

"Our little brother we would,"

"Do anything for him."

"Uhh ok." Phineas said getting slightly confused with the twin's unique speech. "Would you ever betray him?"

"We would never do something like that!" They yelled at him at the same time all traces of their humor gone.

"Good then if you wish to help him and keep your friends alive you will listen to me very carefully."

10 minutes later and Fred and George were standing in front of the Granger house having been there before when they went to collect her for the World cup. They knocked on the door and seconds later they heard footsteps running down the stairs. The door flew open and a very disheveled Hermione appeared in front of them.

They saw the disappointment in her eyes. "Listen Hermione we need to get inside." Fred said. She stepped aside and the twins walked in.

"Are your parents' home?" George asked. Fred was busy closing the curtains.

"Yes they are in the kitchen, what are you doing?" She asked as she watched Fred go around to the windows.

"Well we got a tip off that you were going to be attacked by Old Voldy and we came to get you and your family to safety so we need you to get your stuff and your parents so that we can go." George told her.

"And you might want to hurry a bit because we don't know how long we have before they show up." Fred added.

Hermione could see that they weren't kidding and she ran into the kitchen. "Mom, Dad we have to leave now."

"What, Hermione is everything ok? Who was that at the door?" Her mother asked her.

"I don't have time to explain right now Mom but I know if we stay here too long then we could all die."

Fred entered the kitchen. "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Granger I don't know if you remember me but my name is Fred and you met me about two years ago and it's like Hermione says if you stick around here we may all die shortly so if you would kindly come with us we will get you to safety. Dan could see the serious look on the boy's face along with the terrified look his daughter was giving both him and his wife.

"Ok then give us a few seconds to gather something's and then we'll get going."

"Ok but hurry we are not sure how much time we have left." They rushed up the stairs Dan and Emma grabbing money and their Documents while Hermione packed her trunk with the help of George. She was dragging it down the stair when she heard one of the twins curse and several popping sounds that signaled the arrival of the Death Eaters.

"They're coming from the front." George whispered. "Out the back." He told them as they all quietly moved to the kitchen but stopped when Fred shook his head.

"There are three in the back" Fred whispered. "We need another way to get out of here."

"The car, we can get away in the car. Come on this way." Dan said leading them towards the garage.

Since the moment they apparated in Snape had tried activating his order pendant. It would become hot signaling that one of their own was in trouble and act as a beacon so that incoming help would know exactly where to go but it was no longer working and that was five minutes ago and Snape knew that no help was coming and he was internally cursing Dumbledore for putting him and the Grangers in this kind of trouble all because he was afraid of the Potter boy becoming dark.

Right now he was thinking hard, what was he to do, save the Grangers and give up his position risk being brutally tortured and killed or kill them and keep on the Dark Lord's good side while continuing to feed the Light side information on the Dark Lord.

"I really hate my life and it seems that I will have to save them even at the cost of my own life." Plan's already made he watched from behind his mask as the garage door of the Grangers house open and a silver car drive out of it hitting the unfortunate Death Eater who had not managed to move out of the way in time.

Spells began raining down on the car until a "Crepitus" from Voldemort hit the back left wheel causing the car to swerve out of control before flipping several times before coming to a stop.

The remaining Death Eaters rushed over to the wreckage and began pulling the Grangers from it.

When the Weasley twins were dragged out Snape began cursing the divine beings that ruled for putting such a burden on his shoulders and trying to fuck him over in every which way. There was no way he could save all five of them. Someone was bound to get killed and he would most likely be the first followed by the people he was trying to save.

Moody placed his now empty flask on the table. "I still can't believe that Dumbledore would do and hide something like this." Moody shuddered slightly as his alcohol took effect. Moments passed with no talking except for the occasional whirring of Moody's fake eye. "So tell me Potter what are you going to do about Dumbledore now that you know what he did and is doing to you?"

Harry cocked an eyebrow. "Should I do something about him, I mean I hadn't really given it much thought but-"

"Well that is a good thing then, you cannot do anything against Dumbledore do you understand?" Leo said as he sat sipping tea form his cup.

Harry's anger began to rise. "Wait what why not?"

Leo set his cup down. "Because Harry he is Albus Dumbledore and along with being the Headmaster of the school, The Supreme Mugwump he is also the Leader of the Light, defeater of Grinderwald and the only wizard that can go toe to toe with Voldemort and survive. Apart from you that is."

"This," Moody picked up were Leo left off "Is also the first war that you have actively been a part of Harry and you're still wet behind the ears. There are three sides to this war. Voldemort's, The Neutrals and Dumbledore's side. Out of the three groups The Neutrals are people who have not picked sides yet and will remain neutral no matter what. But as of late they have been shrinking and joining Voldemort because he is threatening them, very few join Dumbledore because he has no hold over them. If you go against Dumbledore, publicly at least, you will create a fourth side and this will cause a rift in the Light splitting our forces thus weakening us. We don't want that because it will also have the effect of keeping people from joining us to fight Voldemort. After the war you can do whatever you'd like to Dumbledore just not right now." Moody took another sip as he finished his little speech.

"Also from what Dumbledore has been telling us from the daily meetings some of the people on the Wizengamot that were on our side are going against us with certain laws and we don't yet know why, and now I find out that Dumbledore is doing whatever it is he's doing to you. So right now we don't need you destroying the only forces that are actively opposing Voldemort. That would just cause more problems than we are capable of handling right now."

Harry heaved a huge sigh. "Why does everything have to be so complicated?" Harry mused out loud. The three of them sat quietly when a loud wailing like noise started blaring. "What the hell is that?" Harry shouted.

"It's my ward that I personally set up around all order member's homes as well as Potters and Grangers. The wailing stopped. "It is set off by the use of Dark spells and it just went off at the Granger's residence." Harry's eyes widened in alarm. "Hermione." Being his only thought.

"You have ten seconds get ready!" Moody shouted snapping Harry out of his funk. Leo was already moving his wand out as he summoned the battle robes that he had made Harry take out of the vault. Harry grabbed it as it flew to him putting it on quickly.

He saw Leo putting on battle robes too. "You don't have to do this Leo; I can't ask that of you."

"Harry; shut up." They gathered around Moody ready to apprate, "And besides that's what friends do." With that they apprated.

Bellatrix stood over Hermione as she writhed in pain on the pavement next to her unconscious parents who had also been subject to the torture curse. "That is enough Bellatrix." The witch laughed and ended the Cruciatus. "So little girl will you tell me where young Harry has been hiding?"

She pulled herself up wincing in pain something was broken that she was sure of. "Even if I knew I would never tell you I would rather die than betray Harry." She spat.

"Ha Ha Ha, such loyalty I admire that in a person."

"Master she is lying let me get the information from her." Bellatrix pleaded.

"It is of no use my dear she truly does not know where the boy is hiding and neither do they." He motioned to Fred and George who were sporting large cuts and bruises. He turned to Snape smiling sadistically "Kill them all Severus."

A/N: I don't know about you but I hope that you liked this chapter because I didn't. To me it feels like it could have been better and there are probably some mistakes in this one so just bear with me. It might not be up to your expectations and for that I'm sorry just had a lot to deal with these past few days.

So drop a review telling me what you think. All reviews are welcome yes even flames. They make me laugh… a lot.

Until next time.
