Tony groaned as he rolled over, poking Steve as the baby monitor grew louder. Steve sighed and sat up heading into the baby's room and picking him up. Little Peter whined and calmed down a bit, resting his head on Steve's chest and listening to his heartbeat. Steve headed back into his and Tony's room and settled back into bed, Peter lying on his chest. He went back to sleep and slept for another six hours.

When Steve woke up again, Peter was no longer lying on his chest and there was a delicious smell wafting into the bedroom. He sat up and sniffed, finding the smell absolutely wonderful. He stood and headed into the living room, noticing Peter in his high chair watching TV and stuffing pancakes into his chubby little cheeks. Steve chuckled and kissed the top of Peter's head. The small child looking up, gurgling out something as he patted Steve's cheek, a bit of syrup wiping off his hand onto him.

"Ah, the sleeping soldier awakens!" Tony said, coming into the living room with two plates of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. He gave Steve a quick kiss and smiled.

"Happy anniversary, Capsicle." Steve blinked, stunned. Usually Tony couldn't even remember the dates. It was damn near amazing he remembered their anniversary. He had a bright smile on his face as he sat down at the coffee table, setting the plates down. There were already two coffee mugs on the table and Steve could tell which one was his by the color of it. He sat down next to Tony and gave his cheek a chaste kiss.

"Thank you, Mr. Stark, for your wonderful kindness on this beautiful day," he said. He prayed over his food as per usual and then dug in.

Tony waited patiently for Steve to notice the little gift he'd left him in his pancakes. He sipped his coffee, looking innocent as Steve lifted his second pancake to put butter on the third and stopped when something caught the light and glittered. He felt his eyes go wide as he picked up the ring and looked at it, before looking to Tony. Tony was still sipping his coffee.

"Papa! Dada! Mawee!" Peter gurgled. Steve looked at Peter quickly, noting that the word had sounded very much like "marry". He felt the familiar sting of tears begin in his eyes and his heartbeat sped up.

"T-Tony…" He managed to get out.

"Can I take that as a yes?" Tony asked. He was immediately tackled down and kissed. He patted Steve's back, trying to get him off. Peter was giggling and screaming in glee, watching his parents kiss.

When Steve finally did let Tony go, the CEO slipped the ring onto Steve's hand and stood.

"Best proposal ever," he said to himself, standing and going over to Peter, cleaning him up and taking him out of the high chair, sitting him in his lap as they watched cartoons and had breakfast together.

Heh, better than Clint's proposal. Down on one knee my ass.
