Hey guys! This is the part where Nina gives you an excuse as of why she took so long to update, but the truth is that she doesn't have one, except for the fact that she's a procrastinator.
Seriously guys, I'm so sorry it took me this long to update. Normally, I tend to have reasons why it's taken me so long. This time, I just didn't feel like typing everything out. I need a device that can take my idea and thoughts and put them into coherent words and sentences so this doesn't happen. I apologize. I also apologize for ending the chapter in a little bit of a cliffhanger/nonsensical ending, but I promise it's just all built up for the next chapter. I can't tell you guys when the next chapter would be up, since my life is a bit of a mess right now, but I'll to have it ready as soon as I possibly can.
On a brighter note, I got to attend my first comic con a mom! It was very exciting because I've been dying to take the kids to one, but we were a little scared to do so. They are still little, and being in very crowded places tends to overwhelm them, so we didn't know how they were going to react. He took chance, got VIP ticket for all four days, and went for it. Thankfully, my children seem to love it. I was so happy they were happy the whole time, which is though for two three years old and an eight months old, but was perfect. For those of you wondering, yes, we did cosplay, Day one, my husband got to pick so we did Final Fantasy (only because he wanted to flaunt his gun-sword around). The twins went as Cloud and Zack, while the baby was a mini-Vincent. My and my husband went as Squall and Riona (I would've much rather liked to be Tifa, but he picked the cosplay so I'll deal with it). Day two, we both agreed on doing Soul Eater. Me and him went as Make and Soul, while the twins were Kid and Black Star, and the baby was a little soul. It was probably my favorite cosplay. Day three we both also agree on Katekyo Hitman Reborn, and I was girl Tsuna, my husband was Giotto, the twins were baby Fon and baby Reborn, and the baby was Natsu. The last day was my day, and I picked Akatsuki no Yona (if you guys haven't seen that anime, do yourself a favor and watch it). I went as Yona, my husband was Hak, the twins were Shin-Ah and Kija while the baby was Ao. It was an amazing weekend and I'm so glad my children, as well as me and my husband, enjoyed it. Now that I know the kids liked it, it's something we can do again in the future.
But I think that's enough nonsense for now. I'll let you guys read the chapter, and I hope you guys like it. If it seems a little incomplete, I did that on purpose. Like I said, I'm building up for the next chapter, so I meant to leave some things hanging.
Also, thank you guys so much for the amazing comments and reviews and to all of you who favorite the stories. If it weren't for you, I probably would've given up a long time ago (seriously, this is the longest story I've ever written), so thanks for that. Special shout out to Lady of the Fates for always being so excited about what happens. Seriously, she never fails to wow me with how excited she is for each chapter. Without further due, the new chapter.

Chapter 27: Asking
Juri was sitting on a bench outside the school, shivering slightly. She only had a thin hoodie and as the evening progressed, the temperatures got colder. To make matters even better, Haruka was taking his sweet ass time getting there. However, she should be kinda glad, since that time allowed her to cool down from her encounter with Sara. She seriously can't believe she had to pull those cards on Sara. Truth be told, she wasn't bluffing. Juri does have all the connections necessary to end Sara, it would just take more than three calls, not that anyone needed to know that. However, that was something Juri would've liked to keep to herself, and because of that blonde bimbo, she had to spill it out. She just hopes it's enough to keep Sara at bay, and keep her away from Haruka. Seriously, 'how does she have the nerve to go after Haruka?' Juri was willing to overlook the whole drama going on between Yuki, Sara and Kaname simply because one: her sister asked her not to interfere and two: it didn't really have anything to do with her, but now it got personal. However, she couldn't jump into conclusions when she didn't know what was really happening, and the one person who could explain things to her was nowhere to be found.
Suddenly, someone covered Juri's eyes. "Guess who?"
"Haruka, I'm really not in the mood for jokes right now." Immediately, Haruka was able to tell just how serious she was.
"Alright, what's gotten your panties on a knot?" He asked as he sat on the bench, right next to her.
"I'm going to ask you a question and I want you to be as honest as you can be. What's your relationship with Sara?"
"Non existent, I mean, I used to tolerate her when she was dating Kaname but that's about it. We've never been friends nor anything like that. Why are you asking?"
"I meant the relationship between your family and hers."
Now it was time for Haruka to be really confused. "Alright, you lost me. What the hell is going on?"
Juri took a deep breath and explained to him everything that happened earlier with Sara. "And I wanted to ask you about it because I'm lost here, and I'm trying to put the pieces together but I can't do that if I don't have them all."
"That bitch…" Haruka knew Sara was capable of anything, but this was crossing the line, even by her standards. Then again, this was the same girl who was willing to fuck his dad for the sake of power, so he shouldn't be too surprised when it came to her. "If I'm honest with you, I don't know much about Sara's family relationship with mine at a business level. It's something I'm not a part of. All I know is about Sara's direct and personal relationship with our family."
"What exactly happened between her and your family? Also, why was she talking all that nonsense about arranged marriages and what not?"
Haruka sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "I'm going to tell you what happened between Sara and Kaname, as well as why she brought up the whole thing with the arrange marriage. However, I'll do it under two conditions, one: don't say a word to your sister. Kaname is currently working out a plan to get out of the situation and he doesn't want Yuki to get involved, nor worried, and agree with him. Our family isn't a good one and I perfectly understand why Kaname wants to keep Yuki at the margin of this situation. Secondly: not a word of this to Kaname. Only a handful of people know what I'm about to tell you and we'd rather keep it that way. Not mention, Kaname hates talking about the subject. Got ourselves a deal?"
"Yes"
Haruka told Juri everything: from what happened between Sara, Kaname and Rido, to what Kaname told him about Rido threatening them to an arrange marriage. It was too late now, both girls were drag into the situation despite their efforts to prevent it. If they were in it, they might as well know what's happening. "So the jist of it is, father would try to force one of us into an arranged marriage, but it's clear he wants Kaname to do it. Why? I don't exactly know, but there's is something I do know." Without breaking eye contact with her, he grabbed her small hands in his big, warm ones. "I've never really been one to stand up against my father, nor fight him in any way. While I hate the guy, I know there's not much I can do about it. No amount of hate is going to take away the fact that he still my dad, so I just tend to go with the flow of things. I don't agree with many of the things he does, but I don't try to fight them because if there's something I've learned over the years is that my father is the kind of person who always gets his way. So what was the point of me fighting a battle I know I'm going to lose? However, for the first time in a long time, I'm going to take a stand against my father. I'm not going to let him ruin the lives of my brothers, or mine. For the first time, I have something worth fighting for, and that's you. You're one of the best things that's happened to my life, and I'm not letting you go, not any time soon. Don't let what Sara said get to your head. I guarantee you that we would not let something like that happen. Kaname is going to stand and fight his battles to be with Yuki. Shiki is not going to let our father ruin what he has with Rima. Not only that, I'm sure Rima would burn our family to the ground if Rido attempts something with Shiki. As for me, I got you, and I'm not going to let them ruin that."
By the time he finished his speech, Juri was nearly in tears. She has no idea why, but Haruka's confession really got to her. It was right at that moment where she realized that she was in love with the same idiot she told herself she wouldn't fall in love with. Yet, here they were. Words were not coming to her, so she let her actions speak for her instead. She leaned forward and kissed him. Instead of taking, she'll let her actions speak for her.
The kiss started off as a sweet and gentle kiss, but it quickly escalated from them. Next thing they know, Juri is sitting on Haruka's lap, with his arms wrap tightly around her while they two of them make up. "Is this going where I think it's going?" Haruka asked once the two of them broke up for air.
"Not right here, and certainly not in school. We'd get a shit ton of trouble if we get caught, and we already have a lot on our plates."
"I know exactly where to go." Haruka flashed Juri a smirk and practically threw her over his shoulder.
"The hell are you doing? Put me down!"
"Nope, you're in for a treat."
Juri had no idea where Haruka was taking her, but she didn't care. As long as she was with him, they could go to the ends of the world.
With Yuki
Yuki woke up from her ridiculously long nap not that long ago. She already felt so much better, and her headache went away. After waking up, she decided to text Kaname to let him know she was back in school and went to take a shower. When she came out, already dressed in the comfortable pajamas, she check her phone and realized she had a text from Kaname, asking her to call him, which she did.
"Hello"
"Hey Kaname,"
"Hey, I didn't know you were coming back. Had I known I would've stayed around."
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, but it was a very last minute thing. Besides, I wasn't feeling my best when I got here which is why I didn't text you to let you know I had gotten here right away."
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine now, it was nothing a good nap couldn't take care of."
"Are you doing anything right now?"
"Not really, I was probably going to watch or movie or something to kill some time. Why?"
"Meet me in the main entrance in five minutes."
"Kaname, bed time is in 20 minutes, you know how much trouble we'll be in if we're caught outside our bedrooms."
"We won't get caught, I promise. I've missed you, and I'm dying to see you."
"Fine, I'll see you in five." She really needs to learn how to say no to Kaname, but the truth was that she really wanted to see him as well.
She quickly changed her pajama bottoms for some yoga pants and threw a nicer shirt over her tanktop, then made her way to the main entrance, where Kaname was waiting for her. Almost immediately, he grabbed her by the arm and started dragging her with him, without saying a word. "Just what are you doing?" Yuki finally asked, keeping her voice down. Teaches were probably doing rounds looking for people out of their dorms.
"Just trust me on this."
'At least someone knows what he's doing.' Yuki thought as Kaname lead her through the many hallways of the school, making sure they were never seen, which was a miracle in her eyes. Seriously, they walked past like three teaches and didn't get caught. Either they were good at sneaking, or the teachers simply didn't care. Eventually, they reached a room and walked right into it. Then, it all clicked in Yuki's head. 'This is Kaname's room.'
A part of her wanted to freak out. She was alone, with Kaname, in his bedroom. That could lead to many things, and she didn't know if she was ready for them. However, she tried to push those thoughts aside and see what happens. "Sorry for dragging you like that. I knew we wouldn't have much time to see each other, and I really wanted to see you. I've missed you."
Without being able to control herself, Yuki hugged him. Because of the height difference between the two of them, she had to stand on her toes in order to hug him properly. Noticing this, Kaname wrapped her arms around her and lift her up, causing her to yell in surprise. "You're going to have to keep it down unless you want us to get caught."
"I'm sorry, you just surprised me." Kaname smiled and gave her a gentle kiss on the lips. "So I'm guessing your brothers aren't around."
"No, Shiki left for the weekend and Haruka is god knows where, although, I have a slight idea where he might be. I'll just rather not think about it."
"Does it involve my sister?"
"Yes"
"Say no more."
"Come on, you wanted to watch a movie, right?" He lead her into his bedroom and handed her his tablet. "Pick on and we'll airplay it into the TV."
"Okay," she went through the list of movies and picked something she's been wanting to watch for some time, but that Kaname could enjoy as well.
The two of them laid in the bed, Yuki leaning against Kaname's shoulder while he had his arms wrapped around her. Yuki's attention was focused completely on the movie, while Kaname's was everywhere but the movie. He felt kinda bad for dragging Yuki all the way out to his bedroom without asking her first, but this girl was making him d thing he never thought about doing with anyone else. Seriously, he's never behaved this way before. He has no idea what kind of power did Yuki had over him, but it was a strong one. Suddenly, the conversation he had with Haruka almost a week ago came to mind. He couldn't deny the fact that he was in love with Yuki, like he never thought it was possible. He believed he was in love with Sara, but the feelings he had for her at one point are nothing compared to the feeling he has for Yuki. He wants to do things right for her, and that's the main reason why he was so set on finding a way out of his father's plan. He wasn't going to let that man destroy one of the best things that's ever happened to his life.
"...Kaname, are you listening?" Suddenly, Yuki brought him out of his thoughts.
"I'm sorry, I was spacing out. What's going on?"
"I was just telling you that the movie ended, you want to watch another one?"
"Sure,"
"Then why don't you pick this time?"
"Okay," he started looking through the movies, but no one them really grabbed his attention. "How about we ditch the movie and us talk?"
"Alright, what do you want to talk about."
Kaname took a deep breath. For the last couple of days, he's debating whether he wants to tell Yuki everything that happened between his father and him. A part of him wanted to protect her and make sure she didn't worry, but another part was telling him she needed to know what was going on. Eventually, that part won. "I need to tell you something, so please just listen," and with that, he told her everything. He told her about the fact that his father wanted him to marry Sara, and how if he didn't, it was his brothers the ones who would pay the consequences.
"What would you do now?" Throughout the whole thing, Yuki tried her best to keep her emotions at bay, despite the tears that were forming in her eyes.
"I still haven't worked out that, but I'm on it. I'm not going to let my father ruin the best thing that's happened to my life."
"Are you sure Kaname? Are you sure I'm worth it?" Yuki felt like she was the reason why this was all happened, and she didn't want to tear a family apart.
Kaname was taken back by her question, but had his answer almost immediately. "Yes, you're worth it, you're more than worth it." Kaname wrapped her arms around her and let her rest her head against his chest. There was so much more he wanted to say, but he was going to wait until she calmed down.
He was going to make sure she knew how he felt about her.
