Chapter 11
My eyes fluttered open.
I stared at the unfamiliar surroundings around me for briefest second before the memory of what Naïka and I had both done came rushing back to me.
I smiled.
It had been hard at first. The discomfort of taking him, but what followed was amazing none the less. The warm flowing movements of his thrusts... Gripping him tightly while I was wrapped around him… That intensifying feeling that had been building up inside of me until it reached the point of no return… It had been… I didn't know what way I could describe it…
It was quite an eye opener of what mating with another was like... What sharing a part of myself was like...
I propped myself up with my arms, taking in my surroundings of the human nest before turning my head, looking down at Naïka still fast asleep. I gazed at him affectionately, wondering whether or not to wake him. Maybe a little bit more rest wouldn't be such a bad thing. He had after all fallen asleep nearly straight away.
I was about to lie back down and go to back to sleep but the parched feeling in my throat had really started to naw at me... I was thirsty and knew I wouldn't be able to think about anything else other than water right now.
Staring down at the velociraptor I knew it would have been safer if he accompanied me down to the river. It wasn't too far though… The only problem was that a family of Tyrannosaurus kept to these parts which was a major problem.
I didn't want to wake him up just so I could get a drink of water. It felt so petty…
Making up my mind, I slid myself off the softness I was on and got to my feet, making my way to the entrance of the nest.
It wasn't particularly dark inside but I still had to squint and raise a hand to protect my eyes as they adjusted to the morning light, the rays shining through the branches of trees.
Closing my eyes for a bit I began to listen to my surroundings. Apart from the odd sound of a bird in the sky it was very quite. I didn't hear the sound of heavy feet on the ground, or the cries of any other dinosaur for that matter, which was a good thing in itself.
I began to cautiously make my way back down the trail Naïka and I had taken, watching everything through the foliage of the forest as something could always lurking out there… Watching...Waiting...
It wasn't too long before I heard the sound of water in the distance. I quickened my pace, seeing the stream in the distance. Breaking through the forest, I ran over and knelt down by the edge, bringing my hands together as I dipped them under the water, raising the cool liquid to my mouth and gulping it down my throat.
I closed my eyes, smacking my lips together as the dryness began to ebb away. Ducking my hands back under the water I began to drink again until I was sure I had enough water to keep myself hydrated.
Having my fill, I stood up and staring down at the water, seeing my reflection. I looked myself over seeing how that I had dirt all over my skin. I smelled of sweat from the day and night before. Not to mention the remains from Naïka had dried up and clung amongst my fur.
Deciding to bathe, I stepped into the stream, weighing out into the water until it came just under my knees. Ducking my hands under the water and using them to wash myself down, removing all the grime and dirt all over my body.
I had just after pulling my head out of the water after submerging it under the surface, rinsing my fur and was just pushing it behind my head when I heard something in the distance.
I immediately became alert, listening. It wasn't…or didn't sound like the cries Tyrannosaurus… It certainly wasn't Naïka… I wasn't too sure what it was actually…
The noise was coming closer and becoming louder.
I cocked my head, looking up into the sky. One thing I was sure of, whatever it was, sounded like it was coming from the air…
Then, eventually, it came into view and my mouth fell open. There it was, soaring above. It was unlike anything I had seen. A cloud of black was coming from what appeared to be a wing. What's more it looked like the creature was descending as it passed over me.
I stood there, watching, as it got lower and lower until it went out of sight, but could still see the black cloud rising into the sky. Then there was the ear splitting sound of a loud bang.
The black cloud started to become larger and it was within that moment that I realised that there was something wrong. Something had happened to whatever that was.
Making my way out of the water, I started to run as quickly as I could in the direction of the black cloud.
