Chapter 5

Teams Glue is Falling Apart

Luke Cage household

Luke's mother wakes up her son for school and tells him that he'll have to wake Danny up since he got home late and hasn't gotten up yet. Luke walks into Danny's room. He sees Danny asleep in his bed and a mess of wet clothes on the floor.

"Danny? Danny! Come on man get up. We have school today." Luke says shaking Danny.

"I'm up. Sorry got in late." Danny states getting up.

"Fall in?" Luke asks pointing to the wet clothes

"Something like that, ya." Danny states getting out of bed.

Midtown High Homeroom

Danny and Luke arrive in homeroom, Harry walks up "Hey guy's"

"Morning Harry." Luke replies and Danny says nothing.

"Hey Danny, I have this assignment for English class. We are suppose to do a small paper on idioms. I know zen sayings and idioms are kinda different, but I was wondering if you can help?" Harry asks

"Uh...sure whatever, Uh...no whenever you want just let me know." Danny replies.

"You'll have to give him a bit, late night with the company." Luke explains

"Ah, explains a lot," Harry understands, "Well it's not due till Monday. So how about Saturday we'll work on it?"

"Sure" Danny replies.

Midtown High Cafeteria

The team's sitting together. "So what heroes have you guy's met?" Olivia asks

"Iron man twice, Thor twice, Captain America, Wolverine, I met Hawkeye, Dr. Strange was just Danny and I, I met Hulk, and I think that's it." Peter speaks up.

TIMESTOPS

"Okay I know what you all are thinking, I forgot Deadpool. He's technically and Anti-hero. Does things for himself, besides, he had me help him steal back something he stole in the first place. I...I don't like him." Peter explains

TIMESTARTS

"Guardians of the Galaxy," Sam adds, "I use to work with them as well."

"Wow that's amazing, I only know Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, and the X-men. Logan never told me you met him." Olyvia states amazed

"Ya, had a problem with Mesmero." Peters admits

"Ouch, no wonder Logan never told me. Brain Switch." Olyvia admits "So you and Danny met the Sorcerer Supreme?"

"Ya, Danny introduced me. Seemed to know him well." Peter explains

"Wow Danny" Olyvia turns to him.

"Hey Danny!" Luke half yells realizing he's not paying attention.

"Huh?" Danny States, "Sorry, I...I'm..I'm good, what was that?"

"You know Dr. Strange?" Olyvia repeats

"Ya, he visits Kun-Lun astraly all the time." Danny explains

"You okay Danny?" Sam asks

"Ya, I just have a lot on my mind." He answers

The bell rings for next class and everyone leaves the cafeteria.

Midtown high after school

Peter pulls the others aside and then answers the call on his communicator.

"Suit up all of you, Trouble in the city, Bank robbery, get on it!" Fury commands

Everyone heads to the bank robbery after changing. They show up and again see Juggernaut. Spider-man sighs "not again"

"Again! But that's Juggernaut. Why is he in New York City, he should be in Stasis" Thunder-Bird wonders

"Stasis?" Nova asks

"I'll explains later we need to get him to leave, save the people and return what he stole" Thunder-Bird states

"And stop him" Peter adds

"With out strength like Hulk, Thor or the Thing, and with out telepathy you can't take him down. He's called the Unstoppable Juggernaut for a reason! You face him and you will just piss him off." Thunder-Bird corrects

"We took him down before!" Power-man states

"With the help of your 'Science Project'," White Tiger adds, "She is a mutant and obviously knows him well,"

"So what do we do?!" Nova asks

"Okay..."Spider-man starts

"Power-man you and I will distract him, Nova, you and White Tiger get the people to safety. Iron Fist, work with Spider-man Return whatever he stole." Thunder-Bird say's interrupting and taking charge.

"Hey Cain Marko!" Thunder-Bird calls

"IT'S JUGGERNAUT!" He turns towards Thunder-Bird. "I remember you, you own that stupid Bird"

"Since I know we can't do the the easy way, let's just get on with it." Thunder-Bird tells him.

"You can't stop me X-Freak!" Juggernaut laughs

"After we get that cash you can leave! I'm not stupid" Thunder-Bird explains

They start fighting, the people get out safely but because of Danny's state of mind spider-man ends up getting noticed. Juggernaut grabs Spider-man's webs and tosses him into the wall. In the confusion of trying to figure out if he's alright Juggernaut get's away.

"You okay Spidy?" Power-man asks

"Ya, let's just get that cash." Spiderman states getting up.

Everyone but Iron Fist goes after him, Iron Fist heads off in a different direction.

"Juggernaut! COWARD!" Thunder-Bird calls. Just before Power-man stops a tree from hitting her, "Good we got his attention"\

"Good!, I'm beginning to think you have a death wish" Power-man yells at him.

"Spidey get the money!" Thunder-Bird yells as he Fwips the bags and takes the cash from Juggernaut.

"You do gotta death with give those back!" Juggernaut Yells

"S.H.I.E.L.D, the Avengers and your brother are on their way. You wanna Try me!" Thunder-Bird yells back.

Juggernaut thinks then run's off as thunder-bird lands.

"You're just bluffing right?" White tiger asks

"Totally, but he didn't know that. Now let's return the money shall we." She replies. No sooner do they return the money that they realize Iron Fist is not with them.

"Power-man where's Iron Fist?" Spiderman Asks

"If your talking about your other team member he ran off in that direction." A citizen explains as he points.

The team thanks him then follows after. They find Iron Fist sitting on the same bridge he fell of earlier that day.

"Danny What's wrong?" Luke asks

"I don't belong here" Danny admits

"What are you talking about?" Peter asks

"I'm not like all of you, None of you understand me. I'm to wise to be here." Danny replies

"Is that all this is about, Danny who told you that?" Ava asks

"Doesn't matter their right. None of you get what I say, my proverbs go on deaf ears, not to mention I screwed up back their, you are better off without me." Danny answers

"DANIEL THOMAS RAND!" Olyvia yells startling him. "Nothing states we are better off without you. It doesn't matter who told you this, none of us are normal, you fit in fine. Not all of understand your proverbs, yes tho ones who do don't understand all of them, but that doesn't mean anything. You are an idiot. The enemy is trying to get into your head and screw with it. I'm surprised you of all people let them."

"Danny I have been on the two different teams. Anyone of us can leave this team and the others will adapt except you! You get along with everyone, your the glue that holds this team together. Besides your only human and a teenager at that. We make mistakes." Sam Joins in.

"Danny yes, your really wise. Yes it does kinda get annoying but we appreciate you don't let the enemy get to you." Ava chimes in.

"I'm sorry guy's I guess I never noticed how much you didn't understand, and when it hit me that all of you even my best friend didn't understand I just lost it." Danny admits

"Better Dude," Luke asks as Danny nods, "Next time talk to us about it."

"Now that that's solved, why in the world was juggernaut so far from home. He's suppose to be on lock down," Olyvia asks "I'll go find out you all take a rest. Oh and Danny," She smacks him in the back of the head. "Don't be such an idiot next time"

He laughs, "Promise it won't happen again"
