Normal POV

Peaceful and quiet town, Magnolia, woke up to yet another clear, beautiful day. Birds were singing from all around and those that enjoyed the morning were taking a light stroll.

But in one particular household, a blonde beauty woke up without the birds nor the sun. No, instead, she woke up with a man beside her in bed.

"Luccyyy," a salmon-haired whined. "I said I was sorry."

Lucy snuck her nose high in the air, facing away from the poor boy. She started walking towards her guild faster.

"Lucccyy," he drawled as he walked to match her pace. He then blocked the way of the blonde, facing her. "Forgive me, pl-"

She planted his face on the ground and continued walking, earning a gasp from the flying cat (Lucy killed Natsu!).

"Woah, Lucy!" Natsu raised his head, grinning foolishly despite his bleeding head. "You did get real strong!"

The blonde stopped walking and turned around, a questioning look on her face. "What?"

He immediately got up and began circling the Celestial mage. "Wow look at those muscles, I couldn't tell at all. Woah, you definitely have abs now. Maybe your boobs als-"

Smack.

"Touch me one more time and I'll kill you." She glared.

"A-Aye." Natsu and Happy immediately responded.

She began walking again while Natsu happily trailed behind her, a huge grin on his face for the return of his partner who potentially rivalled an S-Class mage had excited him to no end.

For the past week since Lucy returned from her training, the whole team decided to lay off the missions to celebrate the mage's return. While it was obvious that Team Natsu spent the majority of their time together, laughing about what they missed, embarrassing stories, and particularly concerning her strength, it was quite difficult for her trainers (the thunder mage) were always with her.

While walking, Natsu suddenly grabbed the mage's hands, stopping her in her tracks.

"Wait Lucy," he started. "There's something we need to discuss."

The blonde turned herself, wondering why her partner's voice suddenly grew serious, but lost all senses when unhesitant eyes gazed into hers. It took all her willpower to force the blush down her face.

"Last night, there was a weird smell in the guild," he clutched her hands tightly, bringing it closer to their faces. "And the smell followed you to your house. I know for sure that it's not from anyone we know."

Lucy was barely listening. Her beating heart was all she could hear as she physically felt Natsu's heat make its way from her hands to her head.

"So I was wondering," he continued, now avoiding Lucy's eyes.

When the blonde felt his gazing eyes leave her own, her senses slowly returned, just in time to hear what probably were his last words before a pleasant visit with Hades…

"Do you by any chance have a lover or something you're bringing to your house?"

"I praise her she punches me, I worry about her and she punches me yet again! Geesh, what's her deal?!" The fire dragon slayer complained loudly, head bloated against the guild table.

"I bet you did something perverted," Gray commented.

Natsu scoffed. "I don't want to hear that from someone who's not wearing anything."

The ice mage looked down at himself and gaped in surprise. "I SWEAR I KEPT THEM ON!" And scurried away.

"Why were you even with her this morning?" Cana snickered.

"I went over to her house last night," the fire-mage answered naturally. "It's been a while since I slept at her pl-"

A strong hand smacked him straight down onto the table.

"Okay, people really need to stop smacking me," Natsu's eyes widened as he saw the culprit, jumping into a stance. "Laxus!" He grinned. "Fight-"

An instant K.O the moment the blonde punched him towards the wall.

"You did what last night?" he bellowed.

"Now, now, Laxus, there's no need to worry," Mira smiled from the bar. "He does that often."

A vein snapped in his head. "He does this often?"

"Yup," she continued happily.

The thunder mage began to crack his knuckles as he faced the fire mage. "Somebody's going to get real hurt today."

"He's already hurt." Happy commented from the side.

"What's up with Laxus and Natsu?" Lucy asked as she walked back down to the guild.

"Ulla, Lucy, welcome back," Mira greeted. "Did the talk with Master go well?"

"He just asked me how I was doing, nothing much," Lucy replied as she took a seat at the bar, turning herself to see the fight. "Did Natsu say something stupid like 'fight me! If you don't, I win!' again that Laxus got pissed?"

The barmaid gave a giggle at the blonde's imitation of the fire mage's voice and smiled. "It was a bit different this time."

And before the blonde could question any further, the guild doors slammed open. The fight immediately broke off as Lucy got up from her seat, face brightening up.

"Gildarts!" She exclaimed.

"I thought you went on a mission 4 days ago?" Erza asked, sipping her tea calmly from her seat.

"I finished," he replied.

Lucy laughed out loud. "That's Gildarts for you."

"I'll give you some beer, take a seat." Mira smiled. "You must be tired."

Gildarts thanked her as he swung his luggage over his shoulder, making his way towards the bar, and taking a seat beside the blonde.

He ruffled her hair as he gave a grin. "How's it going, kiddo?"

"Fine, fine." she laughed and replied. "I'm surprised you finished that mission so fast though. I thought you went on a 10 year one."

"A Double S - Class," he corrected. "Just to get some pocket money."

Lucy giggled while the rest of the guild stared at him in awe.

"You didn't go on any missions, right?" Gildarts eyed her suspiciously.

"No she didn't," Mira interrupted, casting a wooden keg of beer down in front of Gildarts. "Laxus and I made sure of that."

"Good," he replied, starting to chug down his beer.

"Mira, hit me too." Laxus exclaimed, taking a seat on the other side of Lucy.

"Coming right up."

The 4 continued their casual talk, asking how things were going for all, focusing especially on Lucy's health. When the guild began to lose interest in their awfully casual conversation and started to mind their own business once again, Gildarts turned his way a bit closer to Lucy, his head and voice low.

"The truth is... I heard something interesting on the way back." He began.

The 3 immediately stopped what they were doing and turned their heads towards the crash-mage.

"...Interesting?" Mira questioned.

Gildarts gave a nod. "It concerns...," he turned to look at Lucy, "Celestial Mages."

Lucy's hands unconsciously went over to her belt where her keys resided.

"W-What about them?" She asked.

He heaved a low sigh as he shifted in his seat. "It seems that there's a group of bandits going around to different towns killing Celestial Mages for their keys."

Everyone's eyes narrowed as they listened in to the details, Mira looking suspiciously nervous.

"So," Gildarts finished. "I thought it'd be better if you guys heard it first. It'll be revealed sooner or later. Especially you Lucy, if there's anyone or anything in question, tell one of us right away."

"Y-yeah, of course," The blonde stammered, growing nervous as her mind travelled back to what Natsu had told her that morning.

"I'm going to go discuss this matter with Master." And left to go upstairs.

Silence remained between the three before Mira spoke up.

"Lucy, about the mission you wanted to go on with your team," she started, grabbing Laxus' attention. "I think you're fine to go now."

"Mira, what are you-"

"Laxus, it's been a week," Mira interrupted. "And Porlyusia's medicines healed her tremendously. She's been bothering us about it for days. She'll be fine."

"But even so, you know she's hardly in any condition to-"

"Not to mention that she'll be safer roaming around than staying here. If what Gildarts told us is true, the bandits will be here soon. It's better if she's out of town."

Laxus kept quiet as he tried to register what his comrade was proposing.

"Aren't we overestimating the bandits?" He brought up after a good amount of thought, and before Mira could say anything more, he dropped lethal. "And aren't you underestimating Lucy?"

The Take-Over Mage instantly gave a venomous glare as she turned to Satan Soul for a split second, breaking the bar counter. Lucy immediately stood up, now gathering the attention of the whole guild.

"Both of you guys just calm down." Lucy interjected, getting in between the two S-Mages.

"You stay out of it, brat," the thunder mage harshly snapped.

"Laxus," the blonde's eyes narrowed to a concerned glare.

"What's going on?" Droy exclaimed from afar.

"Laxus," Mira spoke, her voice shaking in an attempt to stay calm. "You're misunderstanding me. This matter isn't about Lucy's strength or magic. It's about her life."

"You know that she's capab-"

"You don't know them!" Her voice grew into a shout, startling more of the guild members. She instantly recollected herself as she gave a small apology. "Those bandits, they're not normal. I've-"

"I'll have to stop you there, my child," A rough voice interrupted, catching the eye of now all mages in the guild.

"Master!" Mira gasped in surprise.

"Gildarts?" Lucy questioned as she saw her trainer behind Master, his face red from anger.

"Listen up you brats!" Master started, facing the guild whose attention were already fixed on the old grandpa. "We have important news."

Lucy was barely listening as her focus remained on Gildarts. His hands were balled into a tight fist, his veins on his forehead were exposed, and he appeared to be trembling. In her duration of the training, she had never saw him that mad. What did he talk about with Master? She asked herself.

"There was a pile of this by the S-Class Bulletin this morning," Master started, throwing a stack of paper out towards the members. As each and every one of them took a look, their eyes widened and a gasp escaped them. When a paper appeared before Lucy, she clasped her hands over her mouth.

Dear Fairy Tail,

We will be taking Lucy Heartfilia.

Written in what looked like blood, the paper was stamped with a foreign seal.

"Who would -" Levy exclaimed, speechless.

"The primary suspects are the bandits known for killing Celestial Mages," Master continued, surprising even more members. "It was kept a secret from the citizens to revoke panic from the Council, however, it is impossible to turn a blind eye anymore."

Laxus turned towards Mira, yet the Take-Over Mage averted her eyes.

"Not much is known," His eyes narrowed in disapproval. "But they are indefinitely mages. It is rumoured that one of their members is a Celestial Mage."

The guild remained silent.

"I have already talked with the Council and informed them of this threat. And they have decided to form an Alliance between the guilds we believe is most capable to scout their whereabouts and turn them in."

"Master." Gildarts growled from the side, his voice barely audible. His eyes narrowed when met with Lucy's and turned away, enraged.

"Team Natsu!" The grandpa shouted. "Tomorrow morning, you'll be off!"

A/N: I'll be rewriting the previous chapters. I meant to go somewhere else with the plot, but Hiro Mashima basically did what I was going to make Lucy do (in terms of her magic)… so… I guess I'll be thinking of something else.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Question: Do you guys like OC's in enemies or would you prefer already-done arcs?
