Ch 3

My head was left spinning with the words cas had said right before he had vanished. "People here aren't they seem to be" was ringing in my ears and I was dying to know what the sentence meant.

Sleep didn't come easy that night, and the next morning seemed to come way too soon. I rolled out of bed while my head seemed to weigh 100 pounds. I rubbed my eyes as I pulled on some running clothes hoping a run would clear my head.

I started off on a trail in the Beacon Hills preserve but soon found myself running off the trail and further into the woods. I had lost my sense of direction as I just kept running. As I slowed to a small jog I looked around and saw that I had found myself in a clearing of sorts. The clearing was beautiful, it was surrounded by tall pine trees and the sun seemed to bounce off the dewy grass. I stayed there for an hour just taking everything in before I knew I needed to head back to Bobby's.

When I returned to Bobby's the first thing I checked was my phone to make sure Sam or Dean hadn't tried to call me. They hadn't, but Alison had texted me asking if wanted to go get ice cream later with everyone. 'They're trying to make me fat' I thought jokingly to myself but none the less I agreed because I needed some friends around here if I was going to survive living here for how many months until the apocalypse had been avoided.

Seeing as it was Sunday I finished whatever homework had to be turned in the next day before I headed out to meet everyone. It was around 2 pm when I arrived at Beacon Hills Creamery a small little ice cream parlor. When I walked inside I saw that Alison, Lydia, Scott, Stiles, Jackson, Isaac, and another person who's name I vaguely recall being Danny, were already there. "Hey guys" I called out as I slid into a chair next to Lydia. "Hey" they all chorused back to me. "I'm so glad you could make it!" Alison exclaimed. I smiled and nodded my head.

Jackson who had seemed to warm up to most people since I had met him, went up to get some ice cream. As he was ordering he seemed to have forgotten Alison's order and shouted over "Argent what did you want again?" She rolled her eyes and called back with chocolate.

The name Argent seemed familiar to me but I couldn't place it so I turned to her and asked "Why did he call you Argent?" She smiled and replied that it was her last name. "I don't think we ever got your last name either what was it again?" Stiles asked. I figured it wouldn't be that big of a deal if I let them know my last name since this town seemed pretty peaceful so I told them "It's Winchester" Stiles seemed to smile at that "Like the gun?" I laughed as I said "yes like the gun." Alison seemed to tense after she heard what my last name was. Did she know who I was or what my last name meant? No she couldn't I told myself there was no way she could know. I shook my head a little to ease my worries.

Alison whispered something to Scott something way to low for me to hear but from what I could tell from Scott's reaction it wasn't something pleasant. They obviously had some issues going on so I took this as my cue to leave, finishing my last bit of ice cream I thanked them for inviting me and I was out the door as quick as my feet would take me without making a scene.
