He stood. Watched her walked toward him. Accompanied by her green-haired companion. Her hair tidily tied back, unlike her usual messy hair style. The veil she had barely covered her beauty. He acknowledged it.

The green-haired general stopped at the lowest steps, gave him the princess's hand. Gajeel walked down a few steps and took the hand of the princess. She stared at him as they ascended the altar. They stood, faced each other with their hands held together. Gajeel stared at the girl he was about to marry.

'This is the only way to at least stop them for a while. And it was your father's wish to see you get married. We'll have you get married first, then will be the crowning ceremony.

The ring bearer stood next to him. He took another glance at her before picked the ring and put it at her finger. He could feel his hand shaking. Could she feel it too?

She then picked another ring and put it on his finger. She looked up him. He noticed a little smile on her face. Was she forced it?

"You may kiss the bride."

He stared at her. She stared back at him. Slowly, he lifted the veil over her head. Took a deep breath, he leaned forward. Closing their gap. Tilted his head a little, and their lips touched. Her lips were soft. And tasted sweet.

They descended the stairs with their hands held together. He kept his eyes forward, refrained himself from looking at her. But he did glance at her once in a while. He didn't know why, but he wondered why she stayed. She knew something was wrong happened but she stayed, insisted on continuing the marriage.

"I'll marry you. It is our fathers' wishes. And I don't want to disappoint them."

He couldn't help but felt there was something not right with her. Why would she agree to a marriage in the middle of chaos? And why would she agree to marry him, of all people?

They walked across the hall and everyone took their chances to shake and kiss their hands. They congratulated them on the way. Gajeel could only give his best smile and thanked them back.

They went to a room to prepare for the coronation ceremony. A few maids quickly helped Levy changed. Gajeel sat down and drank a glass of water. He glanced to Levy. She took her veil off and let down her hair. He then took off his jacket and rolled up both his sleeves. It was his coronation but he felt like he didn't as much to prepare as Levy.

The door knocked and Wendy appeared. She looked so happy despite being ill. And Juvia came in too. They congratulated him and then joined Levy. Gajeel watched the three girls got along well. He didn't know if he should be happy for that.

"Finally, you're married."

Gajeel ignored his brother sat on the chair next to him. The younger prince unbuttonned his jacket and loosened his tie. He too, stared at the girls.

"I hope you know what you're doing," Natsu said.

"Fuck off, Natsu," Gajeel spoke, low enough for his brother to hear. Natsu chuckled.

"You just destroyed two lives and you're adding one more to your list. Nice job," Natsu mocked. Gajeel didn't say anything. Either he didn't want to entertain his brother or he agreed with him.

"If you think you're good enough, maybe you should be the king," Gajeel said.

Natsu shook his head while grinned wide. "Our father always wanted you to be the King. We should respect him. After all, he was our father," he said. He stood up and walked toward the door. But then stopped in front of his brother, placed his hand on his shoulder and whispered, "It's time for you to fix it and prove that you can take care of us." He patted on Gajeel's shoulder and went toward the door.

Gajeel watched his brother disappeared behind the door. The words sank. Deep.

They stood faced the huge wooden door. He had had been taking deep breaths to calm his wild-beating heart. He wore his favourite dark grey suit with matching tie. Hoped his sweats would not ruin it. He always wished for this moment would not happen, but there he was. Waiting for him to be crowned. He once thought that he should marry Juvia and live a life as a commoner. But then, there he was. Married to a petite princess from the south. And becoming the ruler to his kingdom.

He almost jumped out of surprise when she gently put hand around his arm. She smiled widely when he gave her a surprise look. And then, the huge wooden door opened. Music played, welcoming them into the hall. He could feel her tightened grip on his arm. Was she nervous as much as he did? They stepped into the hall. The people, his people stood up from their seats, and bowed as they passed them.

And they turned facing their people as they reaches their throne. The high priest started his speeches and their people sat down. He felt her grip tightened even more on his arm. Ached him a little. Was she so nervous? Or having a panick attack? He put his hand on hers and brushed gently. Calmed her down. And her grip loosened.

The high priest had finished his speech. He walked to a servant and took a red robe from him. He then wrapped it around Gajeel. Then he took the royal crown and placed it on their new king's head. Their people applaused. The high priest took a white robe and wrapped it around Levy and put a royal crown on her head. Big applause heard across the hall.

Gajeel pushed the door of the study. He was followed by Lord Loxar, General Drayer and Natsu. Each of them took each seat, except Natsu. The young prince chose to stand at the edge of the table.

"Alright. I need to know the details," Gajeel started. He stared at the oldest man in the room.

"We supposed it was all started 10 years ago," Lord Loxar started his story. "The murder of the late queen."

"I knew it!" Natsu mumbled under his breath.

"But we believed that the attack was no coincedence," the older man continued.

"You were saying...?" Natsu tried to speak his mind. Lord Loxar nodded.

"At that time, Prince Gajeel and the late queen were separated. And we lost our queen, but Your Highness, you survived." Lord Loxar stared at his new king.

"Was it for whoever who was there at that time? Like, if it was Natsu who accompanied Mother, would he be their target?" Gajeel asked.

Lord Loxar glanced at the blonde general.

"At first, we believed so. But then, we realized something," General Drayer said. "The target were indeed the late Queen and Prince Gajeel. Whose now a king."

"Why did they do that?" Natsu asked. "And why waited for 10 years to kill Father?"

None of them gave any answer.

"What the fuck are you doing there??!!!" Natsu suddenly screamed, threw a blade toward a corner of the room

They turned quickly as another scream came from where Natsu threw his blade. A few books fell of the shelf, onto a body on the floor. A shade of blue apeared between the books and fabrics.

"Fuck!" Gajeel ran toward the body under the bookshelf.

As he pushed the books and fabrics away, his blue-haired princess appeared beneath it. Unconscious.

"Hey, Shorty!" He shook her body. He quickly lifted her body into his arms. He ran toward the door.

"Shit! It's not my fault," Natsu shouted to his brother. He reluctantly followed.

He ran to their bedroom, while shaking and calling her a few times. He gently and carefully laid her on the bed.

"Levy," he called while checking for any injury or bruises on her body. Then he heard a shrieking voice and Levy started moving. "Hey, hey, Levy. Levy. Are you awake?" He brushed hairs off her face.

Slowly her eyes opened.

"Hey," she muttered, lightly rubbed her temple.

"God, you're alive," he said, distanced himself a little bit.

"Yeah, I guess," she said, half-whispered. She brushed her neck and her head simultaneously.

"Hmm..Is..it..Is it hurt anywhere?" he asked, crossed his arms over his chest. Tried not to look to care too much.

"My neck." She was still rubbing her neck. "And my head."

"Yeah, of course." He leaned forward, rested his elbow on his knee. "What are you doing in my father's study?" His red eyes glared into her brown orbs.

She didn't answer him but kept complaining about her painful neck.

"I'll get the doctor. Just stay here." He stood up. "...and rest."

She nodded lightly and slowly laid down. Gajeel went toward the door. He glanced at her one last time before turned the door knob. As he opened the door, Natsu appeared in front of him with his ball of fingers hung in the air. They stared at each other for a few seconds.

"Is she alright?"

Gajeel moved forward and closed the door behind him.

"She's okay," he replied. "I'm calling the doctors."

"Look. I didn't mean anything. I didn't know it was her." Gajeel walked away as Natsu tried to explain.

"I know," he replied short.
