Sometimes I Can Still Hear Them Scream
Tony strolled into the room to see Steve Rogers on his couch, that wasn't what has surprised him since, after the Loki attack, most of the Avengers had moved into Stark Tower, which is now the main Avengers HQ. What surprised him was that the Captain's composure looked downtrodden and like he had given up. He blinked a few times but kept seeing the same image. "Steve?" he asked, who looked up at the call of his name.
Tony almost took a step back at the look on his face, it was drawn into lines of anger and he was clearly upset, "What's up?" he asked the normally happy man.
Steve shook his head, "I was having flashbacks of the war..." Tony sighed and sat down on the couch, he wasn't good at consoling people.
"Many men laid down their lives to win the war. I was one of the people recorded but, I'm alive, I survived." Steve muttered, "I remember being in the middle of the fight, our army surrounding me, fighting." He sucked in a breath, "I remember Bucky falling off the train."
Tony put a hand of Captain America's back as the saddened man kept speaking.
"Sometimes, I can still hear them scream..."
