Epilogue: Goodbyes

Professor: And here it is, the last chapter. I'm a little sad, but mostly happy. I'm glad that I got to write this wonderful journey with all of you. Hope you enjoy it. Thank you to all of my readers who made it through to this ending. One final disclaimer.

Fi: Professor of Gallifrey doesn't own anything and sincerely apologizes for the attack on the feels that this story may have caused you.

The Pevensies made their own goodbyes as they prepared to leave Narnia, two of them with the promise that they would someday return, but not knowing when.

Susan kissed Caspian, to the shock of everyone there.

Lucy said her goodbyes to her DLF.

Edmund nodded in respect to the Centaurs, and then to Aslan. Quietly, so as not to be overheard, he whispered, "Aslan, if I may?"

"Yes child?" the Lion muttered back to him.

"I'm curious...how was Fi able to raise that gate with her voice?"

Aslan chuckled at the innocence of the question, "She didn't, Edmund. That was me, as I simply didn't want to see those soldiers trapped. She just happened to be singing at the same time."

"It was just a coincidence?" He said in disbelief.

Aslan laughed again and nodded.

On the other side of the platform, Peter handed his sword to Caspian, "Take good care of this for me."

"I will."

"I meant Narnia."

Caspian smiled, "I know."

And then they left, looking back quite sadly and they walked between the tree trunks, thinking about their adventure and new friends.

"Very well then," Rauru spoke up, "Our turn."

The other Sages and Zelda nodded in agreement before they turned to say their own goodbyes. Once again, someone stopped in front of Aslan to whisper their own question.

"Aslan, Rauru...he told me…" The Shadow Sage seemed almost at a loss for words before she steeled herself and forced them out, "He said that You told him I helped Link somehow? Even if I didn't know it? What exactly did I do?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Aslan asked her in return, "You reminded him of his wife in more ways than one. Most importantly, you reminded him of something she used to say quite a lot. Life goes on. He needed to remember that before he could ever find peace."

Impa nodded to herself, "And...And he's ok now?"

Aslan nodded his head, "He may have passed away because of the battle, but it is what he wanted. He was tired, young Sheikah. But relax. He is in no more pain, and your world will always have its hero. I can ensure that."

She bowed deeply, something that, before this, she had only ever done to the royals of Hyrule. It truly marked her respect for the Lion, "Thank You."

He smiled at her and then the Hyrulians left, walking through the tree to their own lands.

Unsurprisingly, Zelda found herself alone in Faron Woods, near where her adventure had started. The Sages had been sent back to their own time. She sighed, holding the wrapped Master Sword close to her chest.

"Mistress Zelda," Fi made her appearance at that time, "I would like to inform you that we are indeed returned to our home."

"Thank you Fi." Zelda murmured, distracted.

"Mistress?"

"Yes?"

Fi's voice was surprisingly soft at her next statement, "I would also like to inform you that there is a 99.9% chance that Master Link is happy at the moment."

A racking sob escaped her and she fell her knees. But, it was finally happy tears, "Thank you Fi."

Professor: And there we go! That's the end of it folks! Thank you so much for stick through with this. I totally planned to have the title be from the line of Fi saying 'there is a 99.9% chance that we are home now' but I think this worked out much better, even if the nostalgic part of myself likes the other one. Anyway, special mention to, well all of you really. You are part of why I write as my wonderful readers. I don't think I will ever do a sequel to this story, but, well, never say never. Love you all and see you in another story.
