Let me start off by saying two things. One, I did not mean to run into the La Push pack. That was one of the reasons that I had been living in Forks, and not the rez.
Two, there is a difference between a shape-shifter and a shapeshifter. A shape-shifter varies between either a breed of cat or a breed of dog, wild or not. So yes, there are Persian cat shape-shifters. Wolf, however, is the most common.
Now a shapeshifter? They are a bit different. They can turn into basically any animal that they wish. Horse, wolf, mouse, unicorn, you name it, they can do it. Well, maybe not a unicorn. But you catch my drift, right?
Anyways, shapeshifters have a much larger responsibility than shape-shifters. Whereas shape-shifters are in charge of taking care of a small town, perhaps a reservation, shapeshifters are in charge of watching over every Supernatural being. Call them what you will, I prefer to call them the Supernatural Police Force, because they get stuff done.
My name is Isabella Lee Allison Uley, otherwise known as Allison Cullen. And me? Well you'll find out what I am rather quickly.
:):)
"Thank you Arthur!" I walked out of the bookstore, a brand new copy of Sherlock Holmes: A Study in Scarlet in my hands. I wouldn't have even needed to make the trip to the only bookstore around, the one in La Push, if Chase hadn't decided to through my copy off of a freaking cliff and into the ocean. And no, I am not joking around.
Right now, I had one thing on my mind: getting out of La Push as fast as humanly (or non-humanly) possible.
"Ma'am would you like to-" I cut the man off.
"Thanks, but no thanks." I hurried my pace. This town brought back memories, and not necessarily good ones.
As soon as I made it to the tree line, I shifted. No, I take that back. After stripping out of my clothes so I didn't shred them, I shifted.
I ran as fast as my wolf could go. Running helped me relax, and right now I needed to relax as much as possible.
I came across an all-to-familiar clearing. The clearing was no more than a minute away from the Uley residence; it was the one that Sierra, Samuel, and I had played in when we were younger. Just a little further until the boundary.
I went to exit the clearing, only to hear a voice behind me.
"Stop right there!" I slowly turned to see a group of ten or so shape-shifters standing in a line, blocking the other exit to the clearing. Nearly all were male, minus one female.
"Shift." The voice held much power, but not nearly as much as mine did when I go alpha-female on my pack. Or when Sierra goes beta, for that matter.
Even though I could have just taken off in the other direction, I decided to make the man in the middle believe that he held some sort of power over me.
So there I was, standing in my birthday suit as the La Push pack stared at me in shock. Well, scratch that. Most were staring at me in shock, but two of the guys saw the opportunity, and took it, wolf whistling at me. That caused me to chuckle.
"Sorry darlings, if you'll excuse me for a moment." I trailed off, turning around. I reached down to my ankle, where I had tied my sundress, and I quickly pulled it on.
I turned back to face them, and gave them a grin. "Hello lovelies."
The man in the middle, whom of which had previously been speaking, stepped forward.
"Who are you, and why are you on La Push land?" He demanded.
"That depends, who are you, and why are you to be questioning my motives?" I fired back, smirking sarcastically.
The man narrowed his eyes. "I am the alpha of the La Push pack."
I then curtsied and replied in a mocking voice, "My apologies, sir. I had no idea that it was you." I straightened back up and added in a serious tone, "Alpha, beta, Queen of England, nothing makes a difference to me without a name."
A few wolves, all guys, looked as if they were stifling laughter. The chick, however, just looked as if she had better places to be. Psh, what better place is there than here?!
Damn. I didn't think that this dude's eyes could narrow anymore without shutting. Then again, I also didn't believe that Nathaniel could do a headstand, but I guess I can be proven wrong multiple times in a day.
"Sam Uley. And you?" Ah hell to the no.
"Uh… Bradley McCormick." I fibbed. What the hell steroids were my baby brother on?!
Samuel gave me an 'are you serious?' look. "If you just tell us who you are, this can all be done and over with sooner."
I weighed my options in my head. I could either a.) Tell them that my name is Allison Cullen, and risk getting my head ripped off or b.) Tell them my actual name, and risk getting dragged to Father, who will most likely punish me for running away from the rez. There was actually a pretty clear decision to be made here.
"SACRIFICE!" I screamed, running straight into the line of shifters. I shifted in midair, jumping over the wolves.
And guess what. My plan actually worked. That's new.
I ended up having to do a circle around the clearing as fast as I could in order to be on my way back to Forks. Not long after doing so, I arrived at the grand Cullen house. An old truck was parked in the driveway, probably one that Rosalie was planning on fixing up.
"ALLI'S HOME!" Emmett bounded down the front porch, Rosalie following after.
"I brought a pair of clothes, little sis. Don't worry." Rosalie held out a pair of jeans and a top for me.
I gratefully took the clothes in my mouth and trotted off into the woods a bit. I shifted back into human, and quickly put the clothes on.
"EMMIE BEAR!" I ran out of the woods and jumped on Emmett, him luckily catching me. I would probably be dead right now, if it weren't for Emmett always catching me.
"ALLI BEAR!" He shouted, just as enthusiastically.
I hugged him tightly, before jumping out of his arms and hugging Rosalie.
"Thanks for the clothes, sister dear." I thanked her.
"Anytime." Rosalie returned my hug, before giving me an apologetic look. "Just a warning, Edward has a friend over. And Alice seems to like her as well."
My jaw dropped. "Since when do Edward and Alice have friends?"
"Exactly."
"Bella's not that bad!" Emmett defended.
Ignoring him, I asked Rosalie, "And Jasper? How's he holding up?"
Rosalie nodded. "I think that he's doing fairly well. Sierra is in there currently, distracting the crap out of him."
I grinned. "That's Sierra for you." I locked arms with my siblings. "Well, let's go meet the tramp."
Rosalie snorted, and Emmett rolled his eyes, before skipping along with me into the house.
