A/N: Sorry for the long wait!
I own nothing but the storyline and the characters you don't know from TV, as usual.

"It feels like an eternity has passed since... Well, since everything."

It had been a month since Olivia found out Elliot was alive. She would never admit it, obviously, but deep down she hoped Elliot would throw caution through the window and come after her.

She knew he wouldn't, though. He wouldn't dare jeopardizing his operation, whatever it was.

She wished she was fighting it next to him.

"Liv... I don't mean to pry, but are you sure you don't wish to talk to Elliot?"

"I... I don't know how, Jessica. I mean, I know where he lives but I don't know who he lives with. It could be another agent, but it could also be their perp. He knows Nick and I are from NYPD, if anyone from the squad goes back there again in such a short amount of time... I don't know what this man is capable of doing and I can't risk that. I already lost Elliot once; I can't let that happen again. I wish I had never let him leave my place that day" Olivia now sounded like she was on the verge of tears.

"Can't you find someone who will help you talk to him? Like... His commanding officer or something like that?"

After some more research on Cragen's computer and a little help from Morales, Olivia found herself getting out of a cab in front of the CIA headquarters in New York City.

"Hi, I would like to have a meeting with Officer Thomas Johnson" Olivia said to the lady on the front desk.

"Do you have an appointment?" the lady asked, sounding like she was bored out of her mind and staring at her computer screen.

"No, not really, but..."

"Then I can't let you in. Sorry. Have a good day."

"I'm sorry, miss, I don't think you get it. I am Detective Olivia Benson from Manhattan SVU and I am NOT leaving this building until I talk to Mr. Johnson. It's about Special Agent Elliot Stabler" Olivia gritted out, showing her badge.

"Oh, I'm terribly sorry Miss Benson" suddenly the girl's voice sounded a lot softer. She had obviously heard about the shooting and Elliot's so-called death. The whole city had heard about it. "There you go. Eighteenth floor, room number 1803. I believe he didn't have any meetings today so he should be at his office" she said, handing Olivia a visitor's card so she could enter the building.

"Thank you."

"Excuse me, Officer Johnson?"

"Yes?" An African-American bald man on his mid forties, not much older than Elliot himself, was sitting on the desk and lifted his head.

"May I come in?"

"Of course" he motioned to a chair in front of him. "To what do I owe the pleasure Miss...?"

"Benson. Detective Olivia Benson, from Manhattan SVU, sir" Olivia introduced herself as she sat down. "I'm here to talk about Elliot. Elliot Stabler."

"Detective, if this is about your partner then I'm glad you came to me but I'm afraid I cannot help you. I don't have any professional experience in psychiatry or psychology though I must confess I'm really curious about some subjects and..."

"Sir. Please" Olivia chimed in on a no-nonsense tone. "I am more than aware Elliot is alive and I know you know that, so cut the crap."

"Oh! There's the one who managed to crack into our system and not leave a trace. Twice!" Johnson said, impressed.

"Yeah, well, I had a little help" Olivia gave a small smile.

Officer Johnson took a deep breath.

"Okay. How can I help you?"

"I want to talk to Elliot. Meet him somewhere safe so it won't jeopardize your operation."

"Detective..."

"Olivia" she interrupted him.

"Olivia... I really wish I could help because I know how much you mean to Elliot, but I can't let you have that."

"Why not?"

"Because I will not allow it" a voice from the door said. Olivia turned around, stunned.

"And you are...?"

"Detective Benson, this is General Michaels, the responsible General for Elliot's operation. General, this is Detective Olivia Benson, Manhattan SVU."

"Yeah, I know who she is, her face is all over the news time and time again."

"Having the highest crime-solving rate of the city will do that to you" Johnson complimented.

"Thank you, Officer. I couldn't be able to do this without the other detectives. We're a team. So, General Michaels, as I was explaining to Officer Johnson, I have no intention of putting your operation at stake. I just wanted to talk to Elliot; a few minutes will do... We have some... Let's say, issues, to sort out, and I would really appreciate it if we could have a chance to talk them through... You can choose the best time and place and I'll just be there."

"You see, detective... Agent Stabler is in the middle of a very important, risky operation. I can't just let him leave whenever it pleases him."

"I'm not asking you to let him leave, General, I'm just asking for a meeting. We have..."

"You have issues, I know, I heard you the first time" General Michaels interrupted her rudely. "I don't know what life is like on Police Departments, detective, but on this agency we fight terrorists. People who could terrorize our nation like they have done before put our whole country in danger. We don't have time to talk about feelings and relationships."

"What, you think that guy living with Elliot is a terrorist?" Olivia asked, sarcasm dripping from every word, and chuckled. "Please. I can be far more dangerous than he will ever be. Besides, Elliot fought rapists, pedophiles, abusive parents, wife beaters, why do you think he's interested in chasing terrorists who might not even be terrorists?"

"The fact that he came as soon as we asked him."

"Yeah, because I really believed you asked him to. You most likely sent the Army to his house!"

"You asked me if you could meet Agent Stabler and the answer is no. Now leave, detective."

"I'm not asking, General. I demand to see him. I'm his goddamned wife!"

"His wife? Are you sure?"

"You bet your sorry ass I am!"

"Then why did he put in divorce papers?"

A/N: Tun dun! Yeah, I know I'm a bitch. Sorry! At least we got to see a bit of Badass Benson! Please review!
PS: I don't know how CIA hierarchy works, so I'm trying to do it military-style. I hope I'm doing it justice.
